It's March!! Wow, winter and all the woes that it brought will soon be over. We had no snow on the ground, but Saturday evening, the snow machine gave us a new layer...not a lot, but just a reminder that winter isn't over until it's over! Nonetheless, the daffs; some very old ones, that live on the south side of our house, are coming up...but it will be a while yet, before they show their cheerful cup and saucer blooms!
Petcretary was able to clear away a tree that was on our fence...it had come down in one of the fiercer storms a few weeks ago...with her new larger chain saw. It was a dead tree, so the wood was easy to get through. Now the neighbors, whose tree it was, just need to clear away their side of the mess...which includes a ton of large vines...trees are beautiful, and are homes and food for so many creatures, but they sure can cause troubles sometimes!
Petcretary didn't make new pictures of us to show you...but she did take some of a cutie pie pup at her work. But it was so busy that she forgot to write the name down, and now she totally has forgotten! Oh well, this pup is still very cute!

| I got carried in...and felt a bit anxious...but soon... |
 |
| I looked to the left... |
 |
| And to the right... |
 |
| And to the front... |
 |
| And I felt so good, so now I can show you that I can smile, too! |
Last week, I found out about a dear friend of
The Poupounette, that Alfie had flown away to the Rainbow Bridge, so we made this memento for his family.
There is no blog that I am aware of, so if you wish to send comforting messages, you could add them to the post that
The Poupounette did for him.
What a lovely pup! Such a great smile. I bet everyone loves her when she visits.
ReplyDeleteGosh, another tree down; I hope this time it didn't ruin your fencing again.
Have a wonderful week, and hopefully with no need to wield the mighty chain saw ;)
ERin
It's bent down a bit, but it won't need any repairs...just looks kind of ugly!

What a cute pup with a great smile and a lovely memento for Alfie's family♥
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pup and what a stunning smile :-D Dogs can bring so much joy, even if we just meet them for a short time like this! So sorry to hear about Alfie, sending much love and hugs <3
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful badge you made for Angel Alfie. A lot of work you've had the last 2 years that I've read about you, clearing down trees that have been destroyed in the storm one after the other. Let's hope now that it's March the first things get much better. Still cold here in Northern Ohio that I think we missed the snow.
ReplyDeleteWe had about an inch, but it's all gone again, thanks to the sunny weather...though it was COLD!
DeleteThat is a very sweet pup with a lovely smile.
ReplyDeleteTried for years to convince my supervisors to allow an office cat; the workers would LURV to have a purring, furry friend to visit with.
ReplyDeleteThey all said no...they had no vision.
We used to have a border terrier as a live in pup, but no longder as the owner moved away. We allow pets to come in and visit their loved ones, and sometimes employees bring in their own pets...plus we have a few therapy dog visits, though less than before covid.
DeleteWhat a cute pup that was. He sure has a cute smile.
ReplyDeletedoodz....cute pup petcretarry seed at her plaze oh employ !!!! ☺☺♥♥

ReplyDeletePs that's a very beautiful momento you made for Alfie🙏🏼
The pup is quite the charmer.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got the tree taken care of, it's not easy. May the snow melt and good weather come soon.
The hardest part is getting the neighbor to clear away the mess on his side...
DeleteWell, isn't this a little cutie pie. Thanks for sharing him/her with us and thanks for hopping with us! Mom says don't get her started on neighbors' trees. ReplyDeleteThank you for the Alfie tribute. he looks a wonderful cat and I hate it when they go.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! No new snow here this past week thankfully :) The ground is still covered though!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cute pup. I am impressed that your petcretary uses a chainsaw. XO
ReplyDeleteI started with a 6 inch pruning saw, went up to a 12 inch and now I also have a 16 inch. I will leave the bigger saw work for the professionals. My saws are all battery powered. So when they run out, it's time to find other chores, LOL!
DeleteIt is always good to have a lumberjack in the family
ReplyDeleteNo kidding!

ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, that was a very cute dog at Petcretary's work, and obviously street smart, too ― you always have to remember to look both ways!"
ReplyDeleteHi hi hi! Ojo here! Did you get to chew on the big dead tree that is now a big dead stick? Also, your pecretary's little friend is very cute!
