Love Your Pet Pawrty!

Last Feb 9th was Nutmeg's second birthday, and she had a pawrty at her blog...and a kissing booth, too! Her Mom made pics of all who attended that party, including us. Link to the pawrty, Here. Link to the kissing booth images, HERE.

Last week we had a fail of a Valentine party at one of the local pet shops...yesterday our favorite and closer to us pet shop had a pawrty for 'Love Your Pet Day'...it was that and a bit of a belated VD party as well, since everything on the display table was heart related. Good thing us pups wore our newest Valentine's Day bandanas!

And we made pawprints, though that didn't work out that well...BOL!

There were some free samples, including new cleaning supply ones...what?? We don't make messes, do we?? Everything got put in a Valentine's Day bag to carry home.

And yes there were 'pup cups' too! YUM!

While we were waiting our turn, a lady came out of the grooming room, and said they were doing discounted nail trims...oh oh...

Petcretary said sure, it will save me a job, and Dalton was first to be the victim...um...customer. So the nice lady picked up his pup cup and him, and into the room they went. Petcretary could see that he 'froze'...though he didn't make any noise or growls. When he came out of there his pup cup was untouched...but he lapped it right up as soon as he was back with petcretary.

Then it was Benji's turn...along with his pup cup they went...and he too didn't touch it while getting his nails trimmed. When they came out of there, he looked anxious, which is strange for him...and he REFUSED his pup cup altogether! He seemed rather uneasy the rest of the time spent there.

Then the groomer lady said, look there is blood on the floor! OMD! It was from one of Dalton's back paws...so out came the styptic powder and it stopped bleeding. And another dude came and cleaned up the floor...then the manager came by, and seeing what had happened, he declared that there would be no fee charged for the nail trims on us pups...I think he felt bad, cause he knows us well, and he also knows how Dalton is with all his issues.

We met some other pups, but there was one girl hound dog who was barking her head off the whole time she was in there, There was another pup, a big boy, that when Benji approached at first they were OK with each other, then suddenly there were mutual snarls, so good thing every pup that comes in there is always on a leash, so Benji got yanked away. And no harm done...

Dalton had fun sniffing the shoes and pant legs of several ladies, and he received pets from them with no cowering. Sometimes he feels safer than others.

When we left the store, we were more than happy to quickly get back into the car! 'Lets go HOME, NOW, petcretary!'

We love coming here...
It's our fave pet store!
See the whipped cream on my schnooter? I'll lick it off when I m done with the rest of this yummy treat!
You tricked me...phbbbbtthh...
This is my stink eye, directed at you, Petcretary.
I don't want/need this pup cup, even though I love them...and now Dalton is stealing it. I hope I get extra treats at home to compensate.
Let's get going...
to home...where the treats are and no more nail clips on the sly.

We are joining the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop, hosted by the wonderful Kitties Blue at The Cat On my Head!
