Spam Invasion And What I Did

This is what I found in my blog....

Folks and pals, there has been a spam invasion on one of our older blogs.
They are being a bit sly and cowardly, to not put their junk in this current blog...
Petcretary has made it so that for now at least you will have to confirm you are not a spammer and only those who have valid ID's may comment. I have had about 30 spams in the space of about 2 minutes. Such a frustrating mess.
I reported this to Google but who knows when they will find my message...
Thanks for understanding.
Hope it will soon stop.

Sunday Selfies ~ No Palms Included

Its Palm Sunday, but at 18F outside at 7am, you can be assured that we have no palm trees here...MOL! Michigan is not tropical, in fact even though its sunny, who knows when the real spring will start. There is even talk of snow one of these days, sheesh:(
We do have some snowdrops blooming, and a few brave crocuses, and yesterday petcretary said she saw the bluebells trying hard...well, maybe just maybe there is hope for warmer days ahead. BTW...it was too cold for Dalton to find any snakes, but he did do lots of digging, presumably to oust moles and voles. I hope so, they are ruining our lawn...even more than the digging than Dalton may do, BOL!

We took some inside pictures: IE: Sunshine on my shoulders...at least it was like that for Pipo. Dalton just got the bright lit area by the door...

I still get worried when I see that camera thing come off the shelf and it goes 'ping' when petcretary turns it on...

Sun on  my shoulders is just so relaxing...

So you need one of those selfie things again?

I am thinking about things here in my sun puddle...
Hi, Evfurrypawdy!

This back lit image needed some work to make it look like the real me, MOL!
There is a guest selfie at Kitties Blue this week so we decided, despite the Tabbies catvice, that we would show you some guests too. Pipo sometimes smacks his lips when he sees these dudes and their feathery companions...
This Tufted Titmouse looked odd to petcretary...

Then she realized it had only one full leg. Wow, A survivor indeed.

Cardinals always are beautiful to see; such bright splashes of vibrant color.

We made a card this week, using a few tweaks to a kimi image in petcretary's new Photoshop Elements...
Summer had her fourth Birthday!

We are in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop; Hosted by The Kitties Blue. Thanks for doing this each week, its so much fun!

Happy St Patrick's Day Selfies...Better Late Than Never

Petcretary had to work on March 17th. St Patrick's Day. So she was 'Irish For A Day' , and wore a green shirt and some beads. Lots of residents wore green things, too...hats and beads and shirts and hair pieces or those funny headbands. Some of the men had on green bow ties. It was kind of a fun time. Despite the fact that not a few of them were feeling sick...there is a stomach bug running amok in there, UGH. Petcretary hopes she will remain unscathed...so far so good...
I, Dalton have been getting some nice long walks in, using a new front fastened anti-pull harness...and now my old one is 'shed'...and I do not wear it anymore; just my collar and tags. But that anti-pull harness is a bit strange and it shifts when I give tugs or walk fast. One time I even almost got out of it:(
So petcretary is saving her pennies to find a better one. She says those things are expensive, esp the front clipped ones. I pulled like a sled dog with my other regular back clipped one...and um..I am too small to fit in MJF's old nose harness...I am only about half the size he was.
I am getting to be a hunter pup...I have cleared the yard of three snakes...though why that makes petcretary sad is beyond me.  She says she wants those snakes, cause they keep the mice and other naughty rodents under control...and garden snakes are not poisonous, they are our friends. Well...I am a terrierist and I say away with them! However she did rescue one and put it over the fence. Sheesh, I wonder how long it will take before it comes back to bask in a sun puddle...that's when I find 'em, BOL! I have almost got me a mouse in a leave pile, and I have dug up lots of mole hills...though for some reason petcretary is not happy about those digging sessions, either. Sheesh, there is no pleasing that woman!

Pipo likes to  keep a watchful eye on the outside doings from his window perch. Otherwise he likes to sit in a newer nest like a little cave right beside the desk that petcretary takes our dictations from. He thinks it is quite cozy.  So far Dalton has not tried to shred it...but he still takes apart the other ones and he has ripped some of them as well...what a silly dude he is. Pipo is enjoying the bits of warmer weather and sunshine we have been having of late. It is not too warm, but the sunpuddles do help. There are now 3 crocuses blooming. That means springtime for sure!

Pawppy got a PhotoshopElements program for petcretary to use in her picture/card making endeavors. OMC! OMD! It makes her head spin...so complicated. Maybe she will learn it eventually. Maybe being the operative word. Likely with extensive use she will begin to figure it out. The user manual is almost 400 pages long, Yikes! Right now she makes part of the card, then finishes it elsewhere. Maybe a scrapbooking software program might be less intimidating.

Se did make a few cards this past week. Nothing like her old ones of course...she sure hopes that maybe they will try to add the functionality of the original site she used....but she will not hold her breath.

Ernie from The Island Cats

SCYLLA From ATCAD. (Sorry about those grid lines...petcretary missed seeing them until it was too late...)
We made you another one, Scylla, this one doesn't have those silly lines, Phew!

Giulietta from Kitties Blue
Crockett from LoneStarCats has a Birthday on the 20th of March.
We are joined with all the other Selfie Hoppers, at Giulietta's Birthday pawrty, cause they are the weekly hosts of this feature.

On A Road Trip Selfie Sunday ~ With Guests!

Hi furry furends and your peeps!
Today its time to have Sunday Selfies. But since we are also having some road trip fun, we are having our doggy cousins from Canada to do their selfie thing for us. So we have a vacation of sorts from the selfies, bwahahahaha!
One of petcretary's cousins has a new pup, a little gal that was rescued from the Dominican Republic. Now, if that isn't a road (and air) trip !!
Her name is Esperenza, which means hope, and she for sure has hope that now in her new forever home, she will have tons of love and all the comforts a doggy princess needs! She is a sweet little poodle mix. She already has been on her own road trips to visit Eddie!
Esperenza checking out her new forever Mom
Esperenza says this is *my* toy, Eddie!
Our Auntie (Petcretary's sister), came over here a couple of weeks ago...but she couldn't take Eddie with her. Dalton was disappointed, but on the other hand, he then didn't have to share her, BOL! Petcretary gave her a new toy to give Eddie when she got back, because he had destroyed the one she gave him before. It was supposed to be indestructible but he defied that and ripped it to shreds!
Eddie was so happy to get a new toy from petcretary...Auntie and petcretary wonder how long it will last...
Eddie did a great surgical dissection of this so called indestructible toy!!
Could this pup really destry toys so well?? BOL!
Well, here is some road trip history from petcretary:
Dalton has been on a road trip to visit Eddie; Angel MJF went there many times, and he also got to go to Washington, DC a few times to visit Pawppy's Mom, before she had to go to heaven. MJF even got to see the grounds of the Naval Academy and their big museum when he was barely three months old!
Petcretary did not learn how to drive until she was in her mid twenties! Wow! Nope, she had no need to drive, and it kind of scared her, she admits, LOL!
Her Dad tried to teach her, but then before she got the hang of it, she went on an airplane trip to a new job, over 1000 miles away. She lived right on the premises of that job, so also once again no need for a car or a driver's license. She did go on a lot of road trips while living there (Nova Scotia, Canada), since a lot of her friends had cars and they would go together. They once took a drive to New Brunswick, to get on the ferry to Prince Edward Island...in February in a blizzard. Yikes. Wouldn't even think of doing that kind of thing now! One time she even went on a bus tour all by herself! Otherwise she would not have ever seen the beautiful Cabot Trail...except she still didn't, cause the fog was so thick it was hard to see anything...sigh...
After she left that job, her and her sister took a road trip to visit where she had just left! Go figure. Petcretary had her driver's license by then, (Which has its own set of tales to tell about, LOL!) and even her own car...a brand new 1976 Chevette. (Which she called a Sh*tette...)
{Petcretary learned to drive in an American Motors Pacer.   She had to get a professional to teach her. She did some practicing in a friend's car. It had just been newly painted...and she was practicing parking in a shopping plaza lot. She was slowly going to the next spot,and suddenly a car backed out, tight into the newly painted fender of her friend's car. Oops. Then man in there said, 'well, when I looked a minute ago, there was no one coming'...sheesh!He must have been distracted. and he was elderly, so he was so worried we were going to call the police to report him...no we didn't...but he did give us the insurance # so my friend could get reimbursed for the next paint job...and no petcretary did not do any more practicing in that car to avert further disasters!}
Anyways, she learned to drive a standard transmission, so that she and her sister could take her sister's car on that trip...but it decided to need repairs and they had to go in petcretary's Chevette. It wasn't that bad, but trying to take an automatic 4 banger up some of those mountains was interesting, to say the least. Think: 'I think I can, I think I can!' She can't show you any pics of that trip, cause that was way before digital cameras and she has not scanned any of them...sigh...
After four years with that car, petcretary graduated herself to another...a standard transmission Mazda GLC. It was a fun car, and way peppier than the Chevette. However on a trip to see her peeps, she was in a bad accident and it was totaled, along with the other car involved. Two new cars, smashed to the junk yard. OMD/OMC! No one was badly injured, thankfully, just pride...and then petcretary got another car, just like the one she smashed...only a year newer.
That second car could have written a book about all the road trips it made! To Washington, DC...to visit her fiancee in Michigan, to Ottawa with family from Europe, and many other trips, long and short.
That car got all packed up to the hilt with petcretary's belongings, and made the trip back to our present dwelling, after her and pawppy got married....way way back in 1987! After 4 years of being there with a Michigan plate instead of the Ontario plate, it was too small for the expanded family of unfurs, as by then they had unfurbro-the-elder. So someone bought it that pawppy knew from his work. We wonder how many road trips that car made after it got a new owner??!

This road trip and car fun is helping Madi to celebrate being 16, today! Wow! Happy Birthday, Madi!! Sweet Sixteen.

Oh, Madi! Your car on the roof reminded petcretary of the time she did something similar...she had her car balancing on the ridge between the driveway and the sidewalk...the front wheels were not touching, nor were the bottom ones...and it was balanced like a teeter-totter! Oops. The Triple A peeps had to come and use a winch to get her out of that pickle...right in her own property! MOL!!!

Rusty from Jan's Funny Farm, recently had a birthday too:

And Blogville had to say goodbye to Sei Chan.

Selfies For Dr Seuss ~ Part 2

We still have some more selfies to show you all, with the Dr Seuss hat from *that Cat*!

We made some more cards...but sadly petcretary still has not found any photoeditor that meets up with her standards. Phooey. She cannot manipulate images she adds, she can hardly layer them, the templates do not have moveable layers, and so on and so on. Blech. One site may have worked, but she needs  at least $20 a month for an add on just to make that work. well, um...no thanks. Sorry. Maybe when the peeps at the so called new imikimi upgraded (Really??!) site get the feeling of negativity from all their members they might want to add the things that made it so good in the past. But we will not hold our breath.
Anypaws here are the cards we attempted to make for our furends this week:
Dakota turned eleven!

Sammy turned two!
This is back again because last weeks picture failed...Lola can be found by clicking on this caption.

Flub was such a pretty fish from Pets Overload.

This blog-hop is dedicated to Kali from The Canadian Cats.

We are hopping with The Kitties Blue, who are the weekly hosts of this fun feature in Blogville.
