Celebratory Selfies

Last week there were two important holidays that we celebrated...

Independence Day (Here)
and
Canada Day. (Here)

We made some selfies that didn't make it into our pics that we posted there...or that we might have used, who knows...well there were some selfies, that is what counts, so without further ado, here they are...of course it will be pretty obvious which holiday we are depicting...MOL/BOL!

Sorry we have a LONG post this festive weekend!

Petcretary was working on The Fourth, and she ended up working rather later than usual...so she missed the big fireworks that the peeps who live across the street put on....they have a large property with a huge field, and the company one of them works for each year provides the doings for a company picnic along with fireworks...professionally done. The are actually quite 'pawsome' when she has seen them...on her way home from work several places were having fireworks, the air was all smokey and hazy. Pawppy said we didn't have too bad reactions to all the boom boom banging, though Benji seems a wee bit 'needier'.

Soon enough all the fireworks will be put aside till next year...and it should be peaceful once again in our little neck of the woods.

Sadly in the past week some beloved kitties earned wings and flew off  to the Rainbow Bridge...
Cody's Blog is here at Cat Chat.

Dot is here at Dash Kitten

We are hopping along in the weekly Sunday Selfie feature, as always faithfully hosted by The Kitties Blue...we appreciate them and love this blog hop!

  3. Happy celebration days to you all. I have to say that you all look lovely, dressed to the nines and very patriotic. thank goodness the nasty bangs and flashes didnt cause too much worry for you. Mrs H says when you have seen one lot of money go up in a sizzle bang flash and smoke you've seen it all. She prefers the food element and the good memories. MOL
Have a great and peaceful week.

  5. We have been trying to decide on our favorite picture, but we had about 87 favorites, so we're just going to say that we love them all, and you all too! Have a wonderful week. XOX Xena and Lucy

  7. Those are some nice photos! Put them in an album for safe-keeping. Hope you had a good, non-work weekend. My GW worked yesterday, but only until 9pm. She got home just in time to hear and see all the neighborhood crazies setting off their fireworks. While some were quite spectacular, we wonder if they're even legal in this state. Good thing the noise doesn't bother me!

  10. Having grown up in the Metro Detroit area, every year there was a HUGE fireworks show, for both July 1 and July 4. How fabulous that two countries could have one big party together?

  15. You are all certainly red/white/blue! We dont like neighborhood boomies. They start at dinner and go past midnight. We get tired of hiding. At least TBT brings our last dinner TO us then.

  16. All your selfies are just great, Mom so admires the way they are staged. We need to teach her to do that for our photographs.

You asked about My Memories the program Mom uses is called Craft Artist 2, but she gets a lot of freebies from My Memories. Also a lot of the designers at My Memories do challenges on Ginger Scraps (more freebies) so all the challenges we do for Ginger Scraps (GS) probably do look familiar. Often they have the same kits for sale at GS and My Memories.

    1. Thanks!

Oh, that is a program I haven't heard of. I get a lot of 'freebies at MM, too, and at some blogs/FB that some designers have.
