Sunday Selfies ~ No Palms Included

Its Palm Sunday, but at 18F outside at 7am, you can be assured that we have no palm trees here...MOL! Michigan is not tropical, in fact even though its sunny, who knows when the real spring will start. There is even talk of snow one of these days, sheesh:(
We do have some snowdrops blooming, and a few brave crocuses, and yesterday petcretary said she saw the bluebells trying hard...well, maybe just maybe there is hope for warmer days ahead. BTW...it was too cold for Dalton to find any snakes, but he did do lots of digging, presumably to oust moles and voles. I hope so, they are ruining our lawn...even more than the digging than Dalton may do, BOL!

We took some inside pictures: IE: Sunshine on my shoulders...at least it was like that for Pipo. Dalton just got the bright lit area by the door...

I still get worried when I see that camera thing come off the shelf and it goes 'ping' when petcretary turns it on...

Sun on  my shoulders is just so relaxing...

So you need one of those selfie things again?

I am thinking about things here in my sun puddle...
Hi, Evfurrypawdy!

This back lit image needed some work to make it look like the real me, MOL!
There is a guest selfie at Kitties Blue this week so we decided, despite the Tabbies catvice, that we would show you some guests too. Pipo sometimes smacks his lips when he sees these dudes and their feathery companions...
This Tufted Titmouse looked odd to petcretary...

Then she realized it had only one full leg. Wow, A survivor indeed.

Cardinals always are beautiful to see; such bright splashes of vibrant color.

We made a card this week, using a few tweaks to a kimi image in petcretary's new Photoshop Elements...
Summer had her fourth Birthday!

We are in the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop; Hosted by The Kitties Blue. Thanks for doing this each week, its so much fun!

  1. Wow, a one-legged birdie. So happy he survived whatever happened to him. One of mom's favorite things in the winter is to see cardinals in the snow. We have lots and lots of them in our yard. Dalton, you may not like the camera, but you take great selfies. How nice to have sun puddles, Pipo. We have seen so little sun this winter. Today we have some, and it is working on melting yesterday and last night's snow. We sure hope spring will not be too hard behind that melt. Have a terrific week. Thanks for hopping. 1. We have cardinals but not in great abundance. They are a welcome sight! You sure did get snow. And you are so much further south than we are, OMC!
That tufted titmouse was interesting to see like that. Sometimes we see birds with feathers missing form their tail or face, but a one legged one is new for us. Maybe it got away from a hawk.
We can't wait for spring, but it sure seems to want to take its time this year.

    1. Thanks, it was nice today...but still chilly. Tuesday is forecast to be quite rainy...well, ugh, but it is dry and we need it. But why on petcretary's day off??

We get as many titmouse birds here as we do chickadees and finches. Yesterday there was a white-throated sparrow.

  10. How lovely you both are this week... Pipo sure looks comfy in that sunpuddle, maybe Dalton could take lessons in the art? Clearly Dalton has the art of mole hunting sorted, and seems a better thing to dig than to put bait or traps.

  14. Mr Dalton, you are very photogenic. You have a furry expressive face and Pipo, you look grand! Do you get along with Dalton? Or is he a pest? Kozmo and Cinnamon think I, Marvelous is a pest. and I LOVE your birds. We don't have cardinals, but we do have stellar jays, they are loud, noisy and make a total mess!
And your birthday card for Summer is totally PAWSOME!!!
