Rainy Day Selfies: When The Sun Came Out Of Hiding

When petcretary told us, that once again it was time for her to help us make selfies, well it was rainy and wet outside...not to mention chilly. So we made them indoors..and while Dalton was languishing in a doggy nest, I, Pipo was at the window watching the outdoor life...and chattering away, then I napped. And behold the sun came out for a short while to backlight my selfies. Wow...and when petcretary went out the rain wet her head, MOL! And today when she had to be at her work, well, it was bright and sunny. Go figure.

I was minding my ow business and snoopervising the outdoor life...

When petcretary said it was time to get ready for selfie taking...so I started with this grooming maneuver...

And attended to the state of my footsies

Well, this one did not turn out that well...

Smirk, thay is what you get petcretary for interrupting my window time...

I feel rather sleepy now...

But *she* still wants a good selfie she said...

And this is my whole self-selfie! And wow, the sun came out!

Sunbeams are so relaxing, and make me want to take another nap.

Rain Rain Go Away Selfie Sunday

Yup, its wet & rainy. Off & on the whole past week. Which means even though the sun showed up a wee bit, mostly it was when petcretary wasn't able to help us take our picture. Sheesh. She runs up more excuses...MOL!
Anypaws, it did rain most of yesterday and this morning it was misty and cloudy. Not good for selfies.
In spite of the wet days, the Wolverines, who we root for at this den, well they dodged the rain and thunderstorms and after a delayed start, they Won!!  (Sorry to you Terrapin Fans...) Go Blue!

I, Pipo am pawing the window cause there are furred and feathered visitors to the seeds and suet and peanuts...and mealworms, Yuck! Not the visitors, the mealworms, MOL!
I, Dalton am hiding in my doggy cave, cause pawppy is nearby and for some reason I am still very wary of him...even though he is the one who delivers my noms. My pawrents wonder if I evfur will trust pawppy...of course sometimes petcretary will sit on the floor and I love that...but pawppy nevfur sits on the floor...well, petcretary says he can't. (He has one of those bionic hip joints...I wonder who got to gnaw on the one they took out?) So I do sometimes give him a sniff when I walk past him in his chair at the table, and I might even let him scritch my chin:) But cuddles? Not ready for that! Yet...but...when unfurbro-the-elder came over today, I went right up to him...before I ran off to watch from the distance for safety...

So we are going to show you some other more close up selfies we made when we were doing that red stuff for Madi...is this a flashback??
We guess petcretary helped us make a ton, BOL/MOL!
She still has some guest selfies to show you from her time at those pretty gardens last August, but she will save those for some other time.

Of course no week hardly goes by that we do not help petcretary to make cards for others. No exception this week...

Earlier this week,  dear Rusty from Jan's Funny Farm, became an angel. He was involved from blogging for many years, way before we even knew about blogging...he will be sorely missed,  may his memories be held deep in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Once again we truly want to let you all know you are not forgotten, nor thoughtlessly thrown to the side...we love you all, but petcretary is swamped with all the picture work she does, which 'bites' into the time she has to help us visit you all. And of course she has her job at the nursing home  and other chores here at the den...

She thinks she may just start somewhere and not read all the previous ones, as right now her inbox is recording over 1000 notices...Yikes!

If you would like a picture/card made, just send her a clear image of your furry one and the occasion and she will try to get one made. Try to allow plenty of time, say 2 - 3 weeks ahead...

Selfies!

Wow, this week went super fast!
And Sunday slipped away from us so we are posting our selfies late again..but at least not as late as last time, MOL/BOL!
Not much to report since our very late posting last week...
The hot weather has receded into the crisp days of autumn. It was lovely and mild over the weekend, even though the nights went down into the lower 40's. The windows have been open! Hooray for fresh air!
All of petcretary's dahlias and some of her other patio pots were keeled over Friday from the high wind gusts we were having as the weather system to cool us off moved through. She was able  to stake the tomato pots to prevent their demise...and the dahlia pots were re-homed to shelter them hopefully from more disasters. They seem to be not too worse for their misadventures. Our pineapple sage finally is putting out blooms, a wee bit late, sheesh!

On Thursday this week, Dalton will dogabrate his first gotcha Day anniversary  with us:)
There won't be a separate post, as petcretary has to work, and she will be gone all day Wed, and Fri., doing not doggy or kitty things.
So we will have a bit of a remembering that day here, today:)

I looked up and was wondering if that lady was going to be my new mommy.

But she had another dog with her?

So I was trying to do my best to be cute and handsome.

And I tried to be nonchalant with *that* way bigger than me doggy.
