This And That With Selfies, Too

Dalton seems to be back to his regular self, at last, for which we are thankful. But he has decided that it is fun to bark at Pawppy without stopping if petcretary is at her work or running errands. Strange, but who knows what goes on in his little doggy brain?! Sheesh! (No more oopsies in the peepee department either, hooray!)

The other day when petcretary was out in the yard, a pretty red dragonfly obliged her with a selfie for today.

Sympetrum vicinum, the Yellow-Legged Meadowhawk

Petcretary got home from her work on Thursday evening, and was able to watch the almost total lunar eclipse.  (96%) She took some pictures with her phone...most didn't turn out too well, but she did get one that isn't too terrible, considering. And she made some pictures of the dogs who of course had to be there too to snoopervise her doings...like why is she leaning on the fence and holding that gadget?

She also captured a Sandhill crane couple trying to snag some snacks. They are around her workplace and come right up to the building, year after year. Free and fun entertainment for the residents there.
Synchronised 'pecking'!

Symmetrical Cranes!
And one of her orchids has put on a display as well as her hoya.

These selfies and ussies were made in the darkness of about 1215am...the singles of Dalton & Benji were so bad, they were made in to black and white which improved them quite a bit. This ussie wasn't too terrible, so I left it as I had taken it.The light source is tthe porch light.

We missed Rainbow Bridge Day, we don't normally post on that day of the week...
Here is a link to the blog hop of this event: Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 2026

Here is our post about all our angels from a previous RBDay post.
That post featured Blacky-Bushka, Blacky-Monster, Groucho, Simba, Suki, Toki, Minko and Pipo.
We have joined up with the Kitties Blue at The Cat On my Head, who are the wonderful hosts of The Sunday Selfies Blog-hop.

You may notice that there are two new badges in our sidebar. The Blogosphere got a 'redo' and you can read all about it over HERE.
If you have a blogosphere badge on your page(s), you should change it if you can. Then we will all have the same badge for reference.
The other new badge just lets everyone know that I will make them a memento/memorial when they have a pet who flies off to the Rainbow Bridge.

  1. The moon shot is beautiful and the sandhill cranes remind mom of visiting her mom in Florida as she always saw them there. The hoya flowers are so pretty and you know we love orchids. Their flowers are so gorgeous! We are so happy that you're feeling back to normal, Dalton and we love your selfie and Dalton's too. We love our angels - always and forever♥

  4. Our mom is so jealous that you got to see the eclipse. We had total cloud cover here! We loved revisiting all your angels. And the cranes are stunning … such unique feathers. Best of all is the fact that Dalton is feeling better. Thanks for hopping with us! 6. Lulu: "Hooray, we're glad to hear that Dalton is feeling better! And we're sure that eventually Pawppy will figure out what Dalton is asking for when Petcretary isn't home."
Java Bean: "Ayyy, I bet it's treats. Then again it could be treats. Or also treats. Or maybe a lap, but probably treats."
Chaplin: "We went to your previous Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day post to visit our and Dennis's old friends there! Our Dada replayed our post from last year, too, just with a few minor adjustments."
Charlee: "We're hoping it's a long time before he needs to add anyone to it!"

  16. MY goodness, where in the world was I yesterday not to comment!? Running around doing stuffs! The car was acting up. Anyway, I had no idea Sandhill Cranes would make neighborhood stop-offs like that! One of my sons travels to mid-State each year to see them and photograph them as they migrate and stop encase at this particular large reservation for them alone...well...other birdies can come...you know what I mean. It's reserved for them. ;-) And look there what you have! Right to the garden and mailboxes! And thank you for your comment on Katie's this morning. xx
