Here we are on Day 4 of the first month of the New Year, 2026...It's already speeding by!
Petcretary thought she was going to have time to 'go visiting' but the weather said no, (Lots of snow, sleet and ice to clean up, including a huge limb that came down in the bad wind storm we had a while back...she was back there to check the yard after that, and thankfully it didn't fall on anything, other than the leftover trees that were already on the ground, waiting to be cut up...now of course there is more; as well as she made those 3 mementoes and so on...(those gift mementoes sometimes take many hours...one day I should actually see how long they do take...but still, that won't stop me from doing them, I think it is a nice way to send out comfort to those who are grieving.)
Unfurbro-the-elder came over on New Year's Day to help us devour a yummy meal...and he also helped with clearing about 4 inches of new snow. I, Benji, had fun begging attention from him, BOL! Dalton avoided him..
And of course after unfurbro left, we had more snow...sigh..Petcretary cleaned it up on Saturday, took about an hour...we love the clean sidewalks. thanks for clearing them off.and pawppy will be able to walk better out there, now too...because she put down salt mixed with sand...the icicles and snowy roof will have to wait for another day, or maybe even a melt off, as the weather dudes say it might warm up by the end of the week into the 40'sF. (Should we believe such a long range forecast??)
Well, here are our first selfies of this year...we still had our New Year's bandanas on...and some beads, too, BOL!

ReplyDeleteHari OM
ReplyDeleteAw, you look great in your 'after party' mode! Be careful out in that snow and ice, now! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
The selfies are lovely. It has been very icy here the last 3 days and forecast through next week. It is snowing now, but unlikely to be more than a thin covering.
ReplyDeleteWe have snow coming down now but it's not supposed to amount to much and we hear 40's this week too. Wouldn't that be a treat! Love your sparkly selfies!
ReplyDeleteThe ice and snow came so early this winter that it could definitely take a very long break. Your selfies really show that you celebrated the new year just right. We did too, it was nice and quiet way we like it. Too much snow for fireworks, lol.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely selfies, and that gold really does suit you both. A touch of bling goes a long way! Thank goodness we have not had anything like that snow around here, though elsewhere in the uk there has been a lot, especially in Scotland.
ReplyDeleteStay well and may the snow ploughs, blowers and shovels be with you :)

Sweet selfies, you dear woofies. You look so chic in your New Year's Bandanas.
ReplyDeleteYikes on the snow. You look very festive in your bandanas!
ReplyDeleteYou two are so cute in your selfies. I hope you get the warm weather that is predicted.
ReplyDeleteYou fellas look fab with gold!
ReplyDeleteWe all appreciate the memento badges; my sister still gushes about the one you made for Celestial Sparky, and it's a comfort to her when she gets sad.
Thank you again and again.

ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, most of our Mama and Dada's holiday visiting also got called off due to weather, but because of rain, not because of snow. ¡Cuánta lluvia!"
ReplyDeleteLulu: "I would rather have the snow, myself, but of course I am half Malamute and a quarter Husky, so ..."
While our Lady totally misses having a dog, she does not miss walking on stormy or cold days. It has been very cold here. Stay warm and safe friends. Tigris, Styx and Lanie
ReplyDeleteAdorable selfies! It's supposed to be in the 40s next week here too. Heat wave!
ReplyDeleteThose are some terrific selfies to start off the New Year!
