I Am Seven!! It's My Birthday!

Today I have turned the calendar to start my eighth year, as now I am seven! Wow time does fly!

I had hoped to escape the picture session, but well, petcretary said that Blogville wanted to see you...so here they are, in all my seriousness, BOL!!

Maybe tomorrow I'll have a wee pawrty, since today petcretay has to go to her work...I guess all the little old ladies and gents need her there, so off she'll go...then we'll be back here on Sunday to show all our 'doings'.

I'm glad he's wearing the hat, but I'm not sure this 'crown' is any better!

I'm so much happier outside, even on a HOT day!
And since it's Friday, petcretary wants to know if anyone knows what kind of wildflower this is, It is NOt a daisy, coreopsis or a dandelion...Its almost 2 feet tall!
My ID info doesn't seem to have this one in its 'catalogue'...

HAPPY BARKDAY, BENJI!!! May there be many more.

Tell mum that flower looks like Common Ragwort (Jacobea Vulgaris)... it's one of the aster family. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  2. Happy birthday, Dalton!
I agree, it does look like ragwort. If it is, be careful handling it as it can cause skin conditions. Excessive handling can cause build up of toxins in the body and affect the liver. At one time it was always pulled by hand from motorways etc, but that doesn't happen now. I am not trying to worry you, but if it is ragwort pull it up making sure to get the roots, and always wear gloves to protect yourself from the toxins.
We sometimes have it growing in the fields and pull it by hand as it is toxic to livestock.
If it is ragwort please be careful handling it and avoid it touching bare skin.

  5. Benji we wish you the happiest 7th birthday. We haven't seen you that many years but we're sure glad we see you now. Tell your Petcretary that invasive weed is called eggs and butter. And if that doesn't work then it's the other way, butter and eggs. It really takes over the farm fields in the spring. But it is beautiful just like you.

  7. HB, Benji!
Love your hats, and wishing you many more birthdays.
My app says Butterweed, also called cressleaf groundsel and yellowtop.
    Hope this helps!
