Nothing Too Exciting This Week...

Yup, mostly boring for us, no possums, not even any squirrels to chase! We did do some digging, to make our own excitement. BOL! We did get to bark at some buzzards flying overhead...and some dudes on their bikes, BOL!

The other day when petcretary needed to use her oven...she discovered that it wasn't going to bake anything anytime soon...Phooey! So now we have to have invaders come to fixand to check out why the dryer is not being very efficient lately and the washing machine needs some help too...else it floods if we don't stand by while it fills up...sigh...always something breaking around here. Is that exciting?? Nah, just very annoying!

Petcretary saw her doc, who said she's been OK'd to go back to her work, on the ninth. We'll miss her being here every day...but well, we need her to make green papers to pay for our noms, toys and treats! So we guess it's OK to be without her a couple of days a week...

She'll have been off work for a total of 12 weeks! (on short term disability)

There was a lot of stiffness still, and heat and swelling in her wrist and fingers, not at the break site, and OT was not really helping this issue...so the doc thought that maybe some strong steroid meds ( as dose pak) plus using prescription NSAIDs would help remove all the inflammation there, and yes it has already, even after two days! She's thankful for that...

She's mowed the lawn, did housework, and a lot of other stuff such as yanking out weeds, and planting shrubs, and nothing hurts, A wonderful feeling to just be tired...

Benji had been running the fence line with Rose and came in exhausted...so he laid down under the table...and soon went to his 'nest'. He wasn't too  pleased at being disturbed with a phone pointed at him...sorry these images are grainy and not of the best quality...

I'm hot, but I had fun!

Sheesh, she never stops taking pictures!.
Dalton was 'helping petcretary in the yard while she was yanking out weeds...
Can you stop for a while and play with me??
See, I'm a good boy keeping you company while you bend down yanking out all those weeds...I even wash your face when the sweat is dripping, BOL!

He gets in front of her, and then she cannot see what she's doing, so she has to move him off to the side...he scores because she paid him attention, BOL, BOL!!! Sometimes she blows into his face, but it doesn't stop him from trying over and over again....sheesh, he's SO NEEDY!

We got a big envelope in the mail...and it was a Badge/Patch for Epi Dogs from Five Sibs, which petcretary had won. Thanks so much!

We had nice weather most of the past week, not too hot, a lot of sunshine. We love this kind of weather. It makes for nice May flowers. Wow, how did it get to be May so soon already?? Speaking of May flowers, next Sunday is Mother's Day, so here are a couple of AI generated images for that occasion.

Oh, and its May Fourth...may the fourth be with you, BOL! Petcretary has no interest in that kind of thing, sci-fi , well she mostly finds that sort of thing disturbing to her mind...but the rest of the unfurred gang here seem to enjoy that stuff...oh well! Glad we didn't have to get dressed up for that kind of theme, hooray!
We're heading over to The Cat On My Head where all the other Sunday Selfies are...its a fun blog hop, and Kitties Blue are our hosts! Thanks so much, Kitties Blue, and your Mom too!

  2. Nice to hear Ms Petcretary is now mostly mended ... surely thanks to the two of you and your good care and attention, right? But sorry she must RTW and leave you to all the household chores ... just don't dig too many more yard-holes, okay.

  9. Sounds like some things have got blocked in your washer. Oh well, what's the saying about raining and pouring? Anyways we are so pleased you staff are well on the mend. But don't let them be tempted to overdo it just yet, not until she is signed off as fully mended after the meds are done. Oooh, I love your AI art work.Just the thing for Mothers Day.
Your selfies are WONDERFUL. And I bet you were both so very helpful and deserve extra treats just for keepin your staff happy whilst she was off.

  13. Great newsy post! We were wondering how your Peeps arm was doing! Our Peep started walking around the block this week with Nutmeg (she uses her walker)! She was really excited! Her knee is still pretty painful and she really needs crutches or her walker to get from A to B bus she is hoping she can do it without too many aids in the next month. We too have been having things wear out...furrst the hot water heater went a few weeks ago and this nice guy came and brought us a new one. He looked at the furnace too and it has to get replaced and Alex's work buddies have been here the last 3 weekend. The washing machine is OK but the dryer is on its last legs. Mom cleaned all the lint out of it's pipes but it still takes 2 times longer than it used too. Thank heavens that it is warm enough to put the clothes on the line. Mom says she might have to go back to work to get everything fixed (sigh, the tariffs will kill us, dryers and furnaces and the gronky stove all are manufactured in the US)! But we are all happy and healthy and grateful for our furrends! Keep being AWESOME guys! Marvelous Marv and Mom Barb

  21. So glad your mum is well enough to go back to work. Yay-that's great news. Some weeks, it's good for things to be boring. Don't let your mum work too hard with weeding and mowing and all the other things she does. You guys always look great in your selfies (even the AI ones). Here's hoping it'll be a great week!

  22. Java Bean: "Ayyy, we're glad to hear that Petcretary is able to go back to work, but it's too bad she can't just get paid green papers to stay home with you. That seems like the perfect job to me!"
Lulu: "It was nice when Dada was off work for a few months after his emergency, but he didn't really have the energy to play with us much then."
Charlee: "Worked out okay for me. I got to spend lots of time in his lap!"
