For some reason we just gave our pup cups a cursory lick, and then walked away...other times we licked them clean. In a few days it will be Dalton's birthday, a given one, because he couldn't tell us when he was rescued what his real BD was. So 'Dogust 'works well for him.
Dalton could use some POTP and pawyers, as he isn't feeling 100% the past few days.
Last week, Petcretary found a dead and mauled tree rat in some tall grass...not sure when exactly it was 'deaded', and the next day, Dalton began to shiver, pant, not wanting to eat, and he began dribbling too. He seems quite almost disoriented at times., and wouldn't use the doggy doors at all. VERY slowly he is getting better, he will take a few bites of his noms, then *she* has to feed him with a spoon. He accepts it, and doesn't vomit afterwards. Yesterday he took several bites of his regular food...and he even scarfed down a large treat at the pet store. After several doses of a homeopathic remedy for 'tinkles', and another for UTI's, he isn't incontinent anymore, and he is even using the doggy doors again. Phew. Now to get him to eat properly on his own again.
If this continues for much longer, he'll have to visit the vet again, where we'd been on July 27th...
Benji is fine, so if anything happened from that dead tree rat, he was not affected. Of course he is a lot younger and larger than Dalton.
Anyways here are our selfies for this week:

| I'm feeling sad, because Dalton won't play with me...I want him all better. (Petcretary used AI to remove the very ugly background in the original of this image...) |

Paws and toes crossed that tree rat illness will pass quickly! Just think of all the treats you'll be forced to eat to catch up on what you missed, MOL. That would make me feel better for sure.

Oh Dalton! We are sorry that you are not feeling well! Numeg got a hold of one of the moles that Jo Jo caught. Nutmeg found it in the junipers and chomped it. Mom noticed the smell. It was tough to get it away from her. But about an hour later Nuts was coughing and up it came. She did NOT feel very well for about a week! It has not stopped her from looking for more free food though! She found a dead burd 2 days ago. Mom made many HBO words and Jo Jo is persona non grata...We are purraying that you feel better soon! And that you don't eat dead things. Our Peep also feels for your Peep. Being on cleanup duty when we get sick is NOT fun. Our Peep says Your Pep should Keep Being AWESOME! Marvelous and Mom Barb)

ReplyDeleteI just read about Dalton's illness. It dopes indeed sound like some kind of food poisoning. Dalton, that's why it's best to select your fare from the menu prepared by your humans. They put a lot of concern into that, and know what's best. A swifter recovery to you, little one.
ReplyDeleteSending Dalton POTP and hoping it was too much partying and nothing more. Tigris, Styx, and Lanie too
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for Dalton. You both look good in your selfies, may you both be healthy and happy this week.
