Happy Independence Day ~ 2026 ~ 250 Years ~ Happy Birthday USA!

The weather around here was NOT conducive for putting the dogs in costumes when it cooled off, the thunderstorms blew through here, so we are going to rely on an older celebratory image for this Fourth Of July...

We hope all our friends who celebrate this day will have a fun day, and be keeping safe, too. Let's hope the fireworks won't continue for hours and hours... Around here they may be curtailed, since we have more thunderstorms predicted. We already had over an inch  of rain in a short period on Friday evening, and many people are without power, including one of our sons. They hope to have it restored by the afternoon. Our yard had a lot of branches down, but nothing worse. In some areas trees were knocked out of the ground, there were 80MPH straight winds, we was a lot of wind here, but nothing like that, phew!

Maybe today our doggy boys will be able to have some hat taxes paid...(BOL!) If so we'll show them off in The Sunday Selfies...if not, we'll resort to more 'look-backs'.

Since this 'art', we are going to post it into the Caturday Art Bloghop.

  2. Happy and quiet 4th of July we wish for you. Unbelievable the storms you've had in 2026! It dried up here about 10 days ago when the heat's just been atrocious. And the noise was extra loud last night because there was a boot parade. Dalton and benji, we can understand you not wanting to dress up for a hot holiday.

  3. Happy 4th! Do you realize how "special" you are ... you get to celebrate Canada Day and only a few days later you get to celebrate Independence Day ... wow, that's pretty awesome!

  5. Happy July 4th!
The muggy meter is pegged 'way over after the storm, and lots around us are without power.
Here's hoping the fireworks are curtailed later today.
