Snow!!

Yet again the snow makers are VERY busy! Our area is still in a winter storm warning, through later this morning...the forecast is for 8 to 12 inches of this white stuff the peeps call snow. Frankly, we don't care what they call it, cause we don't like it at all! We don't think our pawrents like it either, it is so disruptive to their normal doings. They even cancelled our church service. That hardly ever happens! As this is being posted there are at least 5 or 6 inches down already. If this is still fall, what will the winter be like??? At least we are warm and cozy inside, and we know the peeps have enough provisions for several days...and we saw petcretary make a chewy order...and there is a big as yet unopened bag of our food, yum!

Anyways before the snow got to making the roads too awful we got dressed up and took a ride in the car to our favorite petshop! Sheesh, they have so many things for us to go to, and now that *she* doesn't work on a schedule anymore, (Though she does work a few times each month at her own choosing...), she's able to do these weekend things with us. Anyways there was a SantasPaws there! Wow, was he early because he worried about the weather, on the day he's supposed to bring all those gifts???  We got to sit with him! We woofed our secret wants to him, too, BOL!

We saw lots of other pups there too, and even a couple of kitties! And there were lots of kittens and cats and big puppy up for adoption, from the ROAR group where Dalton came from. Petcretary was too busy keeping our curious schnooters away from those creatures that she couldn't get pictures of them...but there was a fun black kitten...he was very active and obviously was having fun seeing everyone looking at him, BOL! If we could have a kitten, he would be a good one, cause we think he would love us after he got used to us! Petcretary said no...oh well, we hope he found another wonderful forever family!

Today is the beginning of Advent, so that means it's the beginning of Christmas Season!

Here we are waiting in line to see SantaPaws! I, Benji, was miffed that *she* wouldn't let me get anywhere near that big akita. Her name was Raven.
That dog behind me is a Raven, the  akita...and I, Benji, growled at her to let her know I wasn't going to allow her to boss me around, BOL!
I didn't growl at anyone or anypup! I even let a couple of men pet me, and I begged for more! Maybe I know that everyone in this pet shop loves doggies.

Sorry we haven't been around as much as we'd like...we haven't forgotten you all, we are just BUSY! We try to at least read your posts, and we comment when we can find a bit more time...

Blogville had to say goodbye to Zoey, the beautiful kitty from Zee & Zoey's Cat Chronicles
So we made her family a memento to honor her.

  1. Oooh snow, that can be a real nasty thing if you are not prepared. It does sound early too for large volumes. BUt sounds like your staff have supplies coming in, and you have good heating so all should be well.
I do hope Santa grants your festive wishes? I think I would be after more cat nip and less snow! You do look delightful in your festive outfits, hopefully you get an award for best turned out visitor to Lapland :)
Have a lovely week, and stay safe and warm

  6. It's a good thing that Petcretary works when she wants to and can arrange it. With this kind of bad weather I would think she would just say I am staying home. And how lovely that you got to go out to the store for a while before the storm hit. If that kitten was so friendly with you I bet it did find somebody to take it home. We are sorry to hear the snow is so deep and we are so glad that we did not get any.

My word, you have been hit with the white stuff, by the sounds of it. It's on the hilltops here, but not down by the waterside, where I live. It's jolly cold though! I love your outfits and I do hope SantaPaws heard your wishes. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  9. Those are lovely selfies! We didn't get as much snow as they said. Only an inch or two. But it warmed up and now it's a little icy. Hope you all stay safe and warm!

  10. Aww, you guys look so festive and ready for Santa Paws to visit. Sorry to hear about Zoey...your petcretary made a lovely remembrance badge. Stay warm and cozy (we received a skiff of snow-it was no biggie but the low teen temps are another matter-YIKES!)

  11. Was at an independent pet food store yesterday, and the place was chock full of doggos (and a few cattos) waiting in line for pictures with Santa!
I was in Troy, then to make a quick exit, I ended up driving past Somerset Mall (which has two halves on either since of Big Beaver Rd.) and what a traffic jam there.
Needless to say, this was before the weather kicked in, and I went straight home after that nonsense.
You fellas look adorable in your costumes; thanks for sharing with us.
Also, left a note of condolence for Angel Zoey; you are kind to share that information with us.

Java Bean: "Ayyy, you have fun with that. I will stay inside where it's warm."
Oona: "Oona likes the sound of that black kitten you met. He sounds like a proper ninja, bold and fearless. Just like Oona!"
