Snow, Truck And Dogs

What a strange mixture we present to you today, BOL!
Last Sunday we woke up to this layer of white stuff...the peeps call it snow, we call it COLD!
And there was more after this came down...cause it snowed most of the day...it wasn't all that cold, just below freezing, and the snow was wet, but it did stick to everything, and some of the trees around here still had lots of leaves. We had around 2 inches by Monday morning.
In the late morning we went outside with petcretary...cause we had to check on an intruder truck...it was stuck in the mud in the back of our yard where our friend has been doing his lumberjack work...but he had to abandon his truck until he could get help to get it 'unstuck'.
Dalton assisted with checking out the truck...
All the coneflower seed heads had warm cozy caps on...
Doesn't this soft cushioning look like a comfortable place to relax?
I am watching what Benji is up to with Rose.
Benji is trying hard to get Rose to run along the fence with hi, but she isn't having any of it!
Intruder truck all stuck...look closely and you can see Dalton making sure no one is hiding under the truck.
Using a 'come-along' winch, to pull the truck out of the mud...
Making progress....
It's been freed out of the woods!
Yesterday Petcretary was a Guest chef at 'King Teddy's Kitchen', where they shared a yummy turkery recipe. You can see it HERE. So she got this badge as a memento of the occasion.
I received this badge from King Teddy at Castle Baconia in thanks for being his Kitchen Assistant Chef AND his Royal Guest on November 15, 2025!

Are we going to have snow like this again anytime soon?? We sure hope not, then we'll just stay inside in our comfy nest...

A lot of you know Layla Wilde, from Cat Wisdom101. One of the original 4 of her cats had to become an Angel, he was the last of those original four, Odin. He had a very aggressive cancer in his mouth...so very sad.

So we made this memento to honor his memory. You can visit their blog by clicking the caption under the memento.

  2. Snow is fun for you, but not so much for Petcretary. I am glad the truck was able to be moved from the mud with a bit of help. Looks like you had fun checking it out.

  3. Sad to hear about another kitty going over the rainbow bridge. A very pretty badge that you have made. And you two boys look like you had just the best fun and snow that you could have. At least you're not like humans and have to worry about walking on it with only two legs or driving in it.

  6. We use the term 'gack' for that cold, white stuff.
Too bad that big truck got stuck, but you boys made sure there were no creepy crawlies hiding.

  7. You got a little more snow than we did. But any snow is no good, right??? Hopefully, we won't see anymore for a little while. You both were good snoopervisors with that truck.

But it looks like you had quite a lot of fun, in spite of it.
We could hardly see Dalton checking under the truck, We almost missed him!

  13. Lulu: "Look at all that lovely snow! We have been having rain rain and more rain here, which makes the yard to fun to dig in, but I would love to play and roll around in that snow."
Oona: "Your friend Rose is working some great camouflage with the snow. Oona approves!"

  17. Welp! Snow?? Yikes.n I hope there are no other stuck vehicles any time soon.

While we didn't know Odin, we know all too well the anguish and heartache of losing a beloved pet. Thank you for making such a lovely remembrance badge. 💔

  18. The first snow is always something special - But getting stuck takes all that magic away and the cold can do the same thing too. Stay warm and I hope you have a good week!!

PS: The memento for Odin is lovely and perfect for such a handsome boy. 🌈
