We Are Back...New Angels Didn't Wait...

Yes, here we are once again. Hooray!

We had to go to doggy Jail for 87 million days when Petcretary went AWOL to go and take care of our Auntie, who had a knee replacement on Sept 19th...(She is doing well, by the way, and petcretary came home again after she knew that Auntie would be okay on her own, once again.)

While she was there on Sept 24th, petcretary and Auntie became Great Aunts to a sweet little lamb of a baby boy! And our uncle became a grandpa! Petcretary says that makes her feel old, BOL!!

The day after her return she came and sprung us out of doggy jail....thank dogness! The peeps there told us that we did well, even for so many days.

We did miss some special days on the blogville calendar, but ah, well, it's all good cause everyone is fine and at home again!

So now things are back to normal, more or less...

While there were no dogs to deal with, here, a good friend came and did a LOT of work in our woodsy area and cleaned up a lot of the tree mess; (from the May storm), and the neighbor cut the remaining tree trunks off of the fence, so that now the fence repair can be done. It sure looks a lot better back there, but there are still huge trunks on the ground to be cut up...though none are hanging in other trees, anymore, so no danger of them falling on us or anything else. There are a lot of piles of brush and small limbs to burn...but not yet, as it is far too dry right now...they'll have to wait till we get some rain for the safety of the rest of the standing trees and grounds. (It hasn't rained here since before petcretary left!)

We also saw that there is a new lawn mower here, and it does a great job keeping the grass trimmed...but there is hardly any growth to cut right now due to the lack of rain. It may be fall, according to the calendar, but the weather is more like August, hot during the day, and cooler at night so that the windows are open for fresh air and 'whiffies'.

We were so glad to be home...and we were exhausted, so that the first couple of nights back here we just plopped down in our nests and slept like logs for hours and hours!

Another thing that makes petcretary feel elderly (LOL) is that our unfurbro-the-elder became 35 years old this past week! Wow, how time does fly!

Petcretary was cheating on us while she was at our Auntie...with our doggy cousin, Eddie.

Eddie is such a ham!
Of course you all want to see us, too, right?! So here we are, enjoying a snack:
We got new 'chewies'!

Which we love!

I was all into mine...

Dalton was a bit more 'delicate', BOL!

Dalton was very needy for cuddles....from pawppy...

Benji: Please don't leave us like that, no, not ever again! And why isn't there a treat in *this* bone?

Sadly, while petcretary was out of the loop so to speak, there were several new Angel furries...so here are the mementoes that were done for them in their honor. (in no particular order...)
Astrid, from The Cat On My Head
Sissy Cat, from MessyMimi
Mo, from Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries and Meows
Lulu, from MessyMimi
If you want/need to visit their families to leave messages of comfort, just click on the captions to get there.
We've joined up with the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head, and you can too by clicking here to see all the others. Thanks for always hosting, Kitties Blue!

  1. I am glad Petcretary is back, and you have been released from jail. Eddie is very cute, but not as cute as both of you!
It is always sad to hear of new Angels at the Bridge. The mementoes are lovely.

  2. This is Loulou, NOT anonymouse: You doggies are so adorable that we are sure your mama\s heart will not be won completely by that (also pretty cute) Eddie....and do you think your mama could explain to ours about codes and posting and things? She'll ask her guru but we joined the hop anyway, code-less until not clue-less.

    1. I know not much about posting media into wordpress, because I only copy/paste the HTML version of my blogger stuff into the WP site. The only reasson I have it is for some folks who can't comment here otherwise.

  3. I bet you two were so glad to be sprung from jail. It has been a long time since May so I imagine the cleanup is still just a headache this late in the year. And yes we've had the same hot dry weather with cool mornings. Any day it'll probably change. We were sorry to see so many angels go over the rainbow. Your mommy made beautiful badges for them.

  5. Eddie is really cute. Thanks for sharing him on the hop. Your mom was so nice to help her aunt. Those first several days after knee replacement surgery are pretty awful, according to our mom. Thank you so much for the Astrid memento. Mom will post it tomorrow. Mom Ingrid is always so nice to make these for all the angels. Thanks for hopping with us! 1. "Auntie' is actually my sister, but the dogs know here as Aunt...she's still using ice, esp at night, but is up and around, using the stairs...she's in a 4 way split level house...and has started driving herself for small errands, (left knee was done), she lives close to just about everything. (No longer using narcotics) I was very surprised about how well she's doing. She's already almost at 120 degrees of flexion...leg lifts are harder, LOL! She can take herself to PT, and she has someone taking Eddie for his walks.

  15. Congratulations on your Petretary becoming an auntie. A new baby is always a reason to celebrate even when it makes us feel old. So glad your mum has returned home to shower you guys withg treats and ear rubs. Hopefully she won't be working too hard in the garden. 🤞🏼
