A PSA, An Ussie And Yet Another Angel

 PSA:

As of the coming week, I may not be around very much to visit, make posts or make mementos, (though I might put those into a 'to do later' folder...),  I won't have much access to the computer, let alone the time to do those things when I do get a moment. Will fill you in on the details later, but I truly do not know when that will be. All is well with us...except for the lawn mower, which gave up and we need a new one...the doggos are fine too. I am just going to be VERY busy with lots of other important things for a while, maybe up to several weeks, I am not sure when I will be back to 'normal' whatever that means, LOL! (Sadly we will be MIA for Talk like a Pirate Day...and probably even Dalton's Gotcha Day, though we might be able to get one prepped and ready to post.) We are not ignoring any of you when you have special days, I will try to get to those posts when I am able to find a moment here and there.

I will try to make some flashback posts for Selfie Sunday ahead of time, so there won't be an interruption there, teehee!

                                                                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unfurbro the younger lent us his lawnmower for the time being until we can get a new one, the one we ordered is very different looking than the Honda one we had to put to rest...which was faithful for the over 10 years that we had it!
Our new mower will look like this one...
Here we are in some newly mowed grass, mowed with the borrowed mower...it did a good job on the by then tall, very thick, and dense grass that also sports a lot of hard stemmed grass and weeds...but it kept stalling on the even thicker turf nearer to our backwoods...so I raised it up a 1/2 inch, end of problem. We would have loved to get another mower like our son's, but Honda doesn't make gasoline powered mowers anymore, and with an acre of yard, we don't want to be taking breaks to  recharge batteries, and we would likely need four of them to do the whole yard. Blah...that would make the 3 or 31/2 hour a longer than ever job!
When we read today;'s post at The Cat Blogosphere, we were saddened to read about Maxwell, from A Tonk's Tale, we knew them from when we first started to blog about 9 1/2 years ago. Maxwell was a blue point Siamese and always reminded us of our blue pointed meezers, esp Angel Minko. So we made yet another memento  to honor his memory. You can read his family's post HERE.
Maxwell
We are joining up with the many other Sunday Selfies at The Cat On My Head. Thanks for hosting!
    Worry not about taking a break - life has to happen and blogging is fun but not essential! Take good care of yourselves - and enjoy the new mower when it arrives! Huggies to the pupsters. YAM xx
  2. We got a ride-on mower and really haven't looked back, and that's not because there aren't any wing mirrors, MOL
    Seriously, amazing bit of 4 wheel drive kit and Mrs H wizzes around the grounds. Had it been a bit faster I swear she'd have taken it to the shops!
    A well manicured, lawn based Sunday selfie, and a wonderful image for a well loved feline companion.
  3. Take as long a break as you need. I hope things aren't too stressful. I didn't know about Maxie. I have gone over and left my condolences for Lisa.
    I hope the new lawnmower makes things much easier. That is a sweet selfie.
  10. Glad you were able to get the yard mowed. When it long, it can be a real kick in the pants project. The new mower looks like a good one. Thank you for making a lovely badge for Angel Maxwell. Very sweet of you.
  12. Java Bean: "Ayyy, how is it possible that an orange lawnmower exists and our Dada doesn't have one? His lawnmower is blue."
    Lulu: "Dada must not be familiar with this orange one. Or possibly Dada is too cheap to buy it."
    Charlee: "We didn't know Maxwell but we are always sad when a furry friend has to go away. We send lots of purrs for his family."
    Lulu: "And we dogs send lots of tail wags!"
  16. Thank you for creating such a wonderful memorial for Maxwell. We used to LOVE reading his family's antics and are so sad he's gone. Please don't worry about visiting, we would rather you spent the time on important family (or even mowing) stuff.
  18. We hope you get everything sorted soonest. We were saddened to read of Maxie's death. Even though they hadn't been blogging for a while, we remembered him very fondly.
