What We Didn't Like...

We had a winter storm warning in the middle of the past week...that day started out like any other late fall day, a bit breezy, no snow onthe ground and there was even a wee bit of sun. The temp was about 34F...so not too cold, either.

Then in the late afternoon the winds picked up and after a while we had ice pellets coming down..and when it got dark, there was a bit of freezing rain...followed by very high winds and a lot of snow. Though as far as the reports went, we here got off easy, we didn't loose power or any trees, etc. And the total of snowfall was around 4 -6 inches. Those peeps who live near the lake got dumped on...they were blessed with FEET of snow, yikes!

And by the time it got to around midnight the tempo was 18F. No wonder we had such high winds!

We pups and even our pawrents were not impressed...anyways petcretary was busy with a lot of other things, and forgot to take pics of the snow stuck to everything...though she said it was pretty...but we had to wait a long time for them to clear the walkways, and make paths for us on the grass...so we could do our doggy business easier, BOL!

As of this writing, its now above freezing and we might get rain tomorrow! Yo-yo weather!!

We are hoping against hope that we won't get too much snow...

We actually found a nice sunpuddle for a brief while...
We think we'd rather spend the winter here at this nice beach!

We are joining the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for the Sunday Selfies Blog Hop!

  1. Mummy is shivering at the mere THOUGHT of snow. 32F? Yikes! that's only just above freezing! But you seem to be taking it in your stride, dear woofies. Still, a nice, warm beach does seem like a MUCH better place to be right now...

  4. Aww, sweet doggos...we thought being Michigan-ers, you'd embrace the snow. ;) But we understand...it's hard to embrace something so cold and deep. Here's hoping the snow melts in the rain and goes away. We hope you stay warm and cozy and find a nice sun puddle inside. That's what we're going to do when the snow comes back (again) either tonight or tomorrow. Argh.

  7. I will choose the beach with you. We had a red alert storm warning on Friday which came through on our phones and started about 1am on Saturday. The wind howled so loud we couldn't sleep. We didn't get any snow and very little rain, but the winds were 90mph and caused a lot of damage. Our power was out until 10pm last night as there were so many trees and power lines down. Luckily we didn't get too much damage, the worst was the garage/workshop roof trying to lift. Ivor managed to secure it from inside and hopefully that will hold until the wind drops enough for him to get on the roof. Part of our garden fence blew down (the purrison fence) but that is not an urgent job. Some guttering blew off one of the barns and goodness knows where that ended up!
