Selfies ~ Revisited

We didn't take any selfies this past week, petcretary forgot...and when she thought about it, the time was wrong for good light, and or she was too busy...sheesh, excuses, excuses!

Pawppy did well with his surgery and came home the same day. he hardly even needed pain medication and he is able to drive again, since of course that was forbidden for a couple days, LOL!

BUT...he is still restricted from lifting anything heavy for a few more weeks...which means no snow shoveling or snow thrower use...at least all the precip we've been having is rain. LOTS of rain, yikes. Some peeps have flood warnings! While rainy days are ugly and yucky, we think they are a blessing in disguise on account of pawppy's not being able to help clear away snow! That is left for petcretary...at least she is strong and able to do it..though that huge snow thrower is way too big for her to use, she is old fashioned and uses the shovel method, BOL!

So since we had such a green Christmas, a month ago, today we are going to show you our selfies from a post  at Christmastime, in 2016 - wow, we were not even here then!!

Here are our Christmas selfies ~ Revisited

Stink eye time, MOL! (Pipo)
Minko is in silly mode...must be too much nip, MOL!

Dog-guy is tired of all the posing. (MrJackreckles)
Pipo is glaring at petcretary because she keeps taking pictures...and she was too busy to give a purr-purr pawrty...(Update...she had to work on his birthday...)

Happy, Merry Belated Evfurrything! (MJF)

So there we were! Petcretary thinks those were the best Christmas pictures she ever made of those three. With a real camera, not a smartphone...she didn't have one then!

She told us we need to learn to pose like they did...sheesh! The nerve!!
But we will forgive her, because she's working this weekend...and before that on Friday, she picked up three bags of our 'poopsicles'(Frozen doggy doo-doo)...and cleared away the remaining snow mess on the walks and patio...too bad she didn't clear a path to the old shed, we KNOW there are squirrels in there! GRRR!

Here is the card we sent out that year...and she keeps a copy of it by her desk...she misses those dudes.

  1. We love the selfies from past times, but best of all is the news that your Pawppy is home from hospital and doing well.
Oh, and if snow is threatened in your neck of the woods, perhaps someone can redirect it to here in Scotland. I love snow!.

  4. A selfie is a selfie, no matter when it was taken or where or what season. these are all so beutiful and a wonderful way to remember them. I use the blog and pull up labels by name and page through and remember all five of our departed angels.. I do tear up when I look at my beloved Big Boy. the other 4 were Daddy's Dogs, Big and Beau are Mamas dogs. I was blessed when my first heart dog died to find another heart dog. Daddy had his four heart dogs. but he is a little jealous because of Beau and accuses me of loving Beau better than him. I agree with him, so whats wrong with that

  5. We are so happy to hear that pappy is doing well. We are having the same rainy snowy slushy mushy gray weather, more expected this afternoon. Meowmy has her snow shovel sharpened and ready for use along with 50 lbs. of ice melt. We really love seeing the selfies of Minko, Pipo and Mr. Jack. Sigh--what beautiful pics! Big hugs on all the memories. With all the slippy sliding on the way, stay safe every fur/everybody! xoxoxo, Bibi & Meep

  6. They are all truly beautiful. And I agree...your Petcretary made some beautiful pictures of those three babies. They are so beautiful. I repeated that because they were! May your pappy get all better as quickly as an eye wink.

  11. Dearest Ingrid and fur babies,
Lovely selfies from a special time—now a fond memory!
Happy that Pawppy is home and healing.
Tough living in winter time in your areas, except for the fur babies.

  12. We're so glad your dad had a successful surgery and is doing all right now. Hopefully you don't get any heavy snow that has to be shoveled. It started snowing here in WNY a couple hours ago, and doesn't show any signs of stopping.

Although we girls, Rosie and Baby, never met them, our GW really enjoyed all the wonderful pictures of your angels Pipo, Minko, and MJF.

Lulu: "We hope your Pawppy is up and about and able to do the snow shoveling and snow throwing soon! Although our Dada says that he does not have fond memories of those tasks so maybe Pawppy isn't in such a hurry to get back to them ..."

  17. We are glad to hear Pawppy's surgery went well. Grandpa did great with the radiation, and seems to be doing well on the medication, but the cancer team are worried about his blood work.
