We love our pawppy, after all he's our doggy father figure and he feeds us and gives us our treats every day! He gives us scritches and cuddles, too. He cannot take us for walks, though, because of his mobility issues, so we let petcretary do that, BOL! We love him anyways...and even though we don't like going there, he pays for the vet bills mostly, too! It's a good thing, these days cause those bills can really hurt the bank account!
He also had a birthday on the 13th...so Friday the 13th was a good day for him...nothing bad about that day!
Petcretary is working this weekend, though, so we are reusing old 'cards', to give her a break...
She is also busy, still, in the yard trying to get all the tree tops cleared away. She's making inroads, but still has more to do. At least all her poison ivy itchies are gone, and she didn't get any new ones! Phew!
However if that tree and fence mess wasn't enough, last Sunday am, after the blog had already been published, there was another big trouble...someone had run into our mailbox across the street, and it was GONE! As in the 4x4 pole, concreted in four feet down, and covered in a steel shell, topped by the heavy locking steel mailbox was flat, about two feet away from where it had stood, and the box itself was about 120 feet further down the road. Someone has a badly damaged vehicle and must have hit it at a high speed, judging by the distance the box had traveled. So now we have no where to put our mail, we'll have to redirect it until the next box is installed...the original is beyond repair/reuse. And since petcretary had dug the previous hole for the post a couple of years ago, (We used to have all our mail sent to a PO box), she's not sure she can do that not wonderful chore again...and pawppy certainly cannot. Maybe we'll need to rent a motorized hole digger! Sheesh!

| Mailbox post, flattened, and askew from its original spot. The mailbox is near the road edge at the top of the photo...it's about 120 feet further up the street! We couldn't even find the newspaper holder that was attached to that pole as well... |
What next???
The unfurbros came here on the 13th, and took the pawrents out to dinner to celebrate both Father's Day and pawppy's birthday...but sheesh, they didn't take us, nor did they bring us a doggy bag...sigh...

| We were not happy that you didn't bring us anything yummy from that restaurant... |
