Hooray, Its Easter!Hallelujah!
No bunnies in our yard, just squirrels, but somehow we don't think they carry baskets...Hah!
There were no community Easter Egg hunts, which is an annual event with many local venues. Hard to have a virtual egg hunt...
We think some families with young children maybe did have their own hunting games. There sure were a lot of left over baskets in the stores...we think the priorities of many families is not the usual routine...we feel badly for those affected by the economic hardships that so many have to bear due to all the quarantine rules.
And the Gov of our state, just put down even stricter ones...now even garden centers and paint other construction businesses cannot be open. (among other junk....sheesh...)How on earth will peeps be able to do anything at their homes if they cannot get the supplies they need to do them. There are going to be lots of places with unsightly lawns, too...as the contractors that do that work have been told they may not. Sheesh.
Hope we can do our own lawn mowing with no issues with the mower...at least we CAN get gas to make it run...its a very thirsty machine when it does the work over our acre of growing grass and weeds. We will likely mow it for the first time later this week...its getting shaggy here and there...and the dandelions are getting into bloom mode.
Now the grocery stores are limiting the number of peeps in their stores, and we have to walk the aisles in one direction only. Weird...and they have to block sections off in there that fall under those newer restrictions on what peeps can buy. Petcretary walked past the garden section of our local super store, (not Wally World...), and there was a sign on a patio table:
'We know these will look good at your home, but we are not allowed to sell it to you at this time.' OMC/OMD!
Well, masked bandits are everywhere you look, including our peeps when they leave the den...gloves too, if they are available. Signs of the times!
We hope everyone is staying safe, healthy and at home as much as possible.
And we hope you all had a nice Easter...or what ever holiday you celebrated.
As seen in the previous two posts, we made some cards this past week:
Happy Easter to all of you!
ReplyDeleteLife is much the same here for us as it is for you. The garden centres closed 2 weeks ago so there are going to be a lot of wasted plants, and bare gardens too.
They only allow a certain number of people in the shops at one time and that is for essentials only. TP is still rarer than hens teeth. What do the hoarders do with it all??
Maybe the hoarders will have to have a yard sale and settle for pennies on the dollar later in the year...or they are selling it now on the black market. Sheesh!
DeleteYou guys look adorable with your bunny ears and Easter bonnets.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGuys! You look fabulishious in your Ears and your Easter finery!
ReplyDeleteThe kids in Midway had a virtual hunt this year, but instead of EGGS it was hearts in windows for the Health Care Workers and the kids were to count how many they saw and drop off a ballot at the grocery store. When they dropped off their entry, they got a bag from the Easter Bunny's helpers to open today! There was a draw yesterday from all the entries for a special basket too!
Mom says she can't drive the lawn mower. It has a fixed seat and her legs don't reach the pedals. She's going to have to put blocks on the pedals if Alex is not around.
Hoppy Easter to you and yours from us and ours!
Purrs and Love Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, Ninja and Cinnamon (and Mom)
That was a nice way for your town to have an Easter Celebration event!
DeleteHope you don't have to use those blocks on pedals...maybe riser shoes?? LOL!
Awwwww! You all look so good and festive...Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteWe know mum is discombobulated with this lockdown, but we love having her home!!!!
We love the cards Petcretary did!!!!!!

Purrs,Georgia and Julie
Thanks so much!
DeleteYes, its nice to have peeps around so much moire...we will miss them when things are normal once agaon...whatever that means:)
What wonderful Easter portraits! Dad is wearing a mask whenever he goes to get groceries and supplies for me, Myrnie and the doggy. He has a dark blue one that kind of looks black and makes him look like a Ninja. Tee hee hee. Winks.
ReplyDeleteYup, we all are looking like bandits with the masks we are wearing.
DeleteOMC! The doggos in bunny ears are adorable! We hope your Easter has been purrfect!
ReplyDeleteThey were patient to be able to get TREATS!
DeleteWe had a very quiet Easter here. I think most families did. I bet people with kids and yards had Easter egg hunts at home... kind of like I did!
ReplyDeleteYup, hunting at home like we used to do in 'olden days'...
DeletePawppy said he got to go to the yearly hunts at the White House lawns when he was a youngster growing us in DC...they still had those when our boys were little but we didn't want to deal with all the security and crowds...
happy hoppy easter to you!!!! our easter was different this year... but next year it will be a feast for all
ReplyDeleteThanks! We sure hope so!
DeleteAdorable selfies ! We have these rules in the shops already since nearly a months and signs are on the floor where one person can stand. Everybody wears gloves and masks and we all look like bank robbers. Fortunately no food or toilet paper is missing, but garden centers are still closed so even if you want to work outside you can't buy material. I wonder how long this nightmare will last ! Only Rosie goes in and out wherever she wants to, but she never asks if we need something ! The worst happened for the first time in my life I forgot Easter !!
ReplyDeleteAwww...well, at least you could celebrate in all the bloggies, MOL!
DeleteIt WILL be back next year:)
Aww, every pup and kitty looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteWe are under a 'wear a mask everywhere' order, so that's what we do!
Thanks! Yup here too...
DeleteI have a few so I can match to my clothes, LOL!
But the mask I wear at work is an N95 one, so I save that for work time only...
We're glad you had a nice Easter with your family. It looks like you had a good sunny day for picture taking. (Did you get to take the squeakers out of any of those squeaky toys?)
ReplyDeleteMy peeps were just talking about the newest rules for grocery stores around here too. They think this is over-doing it! My GW sure does not have time to stand in line to get groceries on top of working on the front lines at the nursing home!
We were NOT allowed to de-squeak or de-stuff anything...she is such a party pooper, BOL!
DeleteAnd AMEN about these horrible and draconian restrictions. Pawppy is the provision collector these days...
All factors considered you had a nice Easter!!!! The pics are darling!! FYI my furiend you should try curbside pickup. If you have Gordon Foods there try them (they have a quick turn around) and the other one I use is Busch's (if you have one there). Busch's I have to wait a few days but I just order BEFORE we run out. Happy Belated Easter! xoxo Stay safe/healthy!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteNo Busch here...pawppy gets the provisions mostly...and Meijer NEVER seems to have any slots open, though they do highly promote it.
We do have a GFS here, but we don't buy in bulk...and they do not carry most of their things we need/want in the form we use. We hardly ever even went in there before all this started, LOL! Its beside one of our 2 Meijer stores.
Meijer or Wally world have most of the things we use, and they have them in stock if you get there early enough. Same with Aldis's. Just go to their dedicated shopping hours for seniors and essential workers.
You all make purrfect bunnies, sweet furriends and we always love your cards. They feel..eh..look like velvet. Very beautiful💗 Our shops going to open one by one. Still have to keep the distance though, but at least it feels like hope😸Clean Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteEvery day it seem they draw the noose tighter for us...sheesh:(
Everyone looks so nice in their Easter outfits. And very happy Birthday to Marg! Our daddy's brother and his sister and mom, and Mom's twin sisters all have April birthdays!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYour doubles photo with the hats on reminds Lee you two look like dudes Lee saw when she was young sitting on her Papa's porch watching the men going to the race track. Our stores have the same rules BUT we can buy on line and if what we buy is over $35 we get free delivery from Lowes. Our flower center takes orders also, pay on line, stay in your car, pop you trunk and they put the flowers in your car. We like to pick out our own but in these times the next best thing is better than nothing. We had a terrible freeze and our hosta plants, hydrangea plants are just mush.

Your restrictions are easier than ours:)
DeleteSorry your plants got frozen.
