Thank You Pawppy. We all love you furry much.
And...Earlier this week Pawppy had a birthday. Happy Belated Birthday pawppy!
But today is a furry sad day for both Pawppy and petcretary. There are tears and more tears. Even the sky is shedding them here.
Last night, I, Minko, was drooling a lot as petcretary was feeding me...the same way she has done for going on three years, now...because I wasn't able to eat by myself anymore. Sometimes I would drool if I wasn't feeling hungry enough, so she did not think anything of it. Later I upchucked the whole lot. UGH. Still, she did not worry too much because I have done that before, too. She thought she would just try again in the early morning, instead of noon, since she mostly fed me at noon and midnight, so it would work with her work schedules. Anypaws when she got up at 630am, I was laying on the floor. All wet and dirty too. Oh dear. I was crying loudly when she touched me. Then she realized my pupils were widely dilated. I was blind. And when I tried to get up, I could hardly do that...and I staggered into the corner. She picked me up and cleaned me up with love and tears. Then she laid me in a soft towel lined kitty bed. After her shower, she found me exactly as she had left me, and I was panting too. She knew. Pawppy knew. Pipo came and sniffed me and walked away...he knew too. Dog-guy came by, my furend, he too tried to sniff me, but I in my confused sightless state was only aware of his presence...but sorry dude, I hissed you. Pawlease furgive me.
So...petcretary put me in my fave box, which was lined with a blanket and some soft towels, and I went to Kitty Heaven that way.
The Rainbow Bridge is a lovely spot, catnip evfurry where, lots of pretty butterflies to chase, and best of all, plenty of Angel furs to romp with all the day long.
I was met at the RB Gates by my own Angel Furblings, Groucho, Simba, Toki and Suki. I knew Suki, but it was a first time joyous meetup with the other three. My doggy cousins were there too; and a whole lot of furends. How fun to be with them all now...
What a place of beauty and peace and love.
I even have discovered the window to spy upon the earth, so that I can keep an eye on my furmily whom I left there. I know they miss me a lot; a WHOLE LOT.
I will be loved and cherished there forever.

ReplyDeleteWe tried to be happy to say dat, but our eyes are leaking water everywhere and our hearts are very heavy. We are so very sorry Minko had to go to heaven. We know he is in a far better place and is young and healthy and happy, but we're gonna miss him as we know ya'll already do. We're sendin' big hugs and lots and lots of purrayers.

ReplyDeleteWe had a very rainy day yesterday too. Ghostwriter and Dad had to drive to see Oma at the nursing and then to Niagara Falls to her house to check on things, and then all the way back to Rochester in a pounding rain storm. Luckily they outran the storm and made it home just in time! We see some blue sky peeking out from between the clouds this morning. We'll be looking for Minko up there.

DeleteWe were oh so shocked and in disbelief too. But it was not a bad dream, it was our worst nightmare...and now he is gone...
I miss the little things he did, that made him so special.

DeleteMinko had a stroke, which the vet said was really not related to his IBD and eating issues. But there just was not a thing anyone could do except to gift him with his angel wings.
We are so very sorry to hear you have left this world and made your journey to the Rainbow Bridge, Minko. We know your family, especially the precretary, is very sad. We send them lots of comforting purrs and gentle headbutts. We will miss you, Minko.

ReplyDeleteWe have known eachother since late 2009. We sure have been through lots of good times and the bad, too. We bolster up eachother in the ways we can, that is what these blogging (and Catster) friendships do for us. We give and we recieve and we send love and it keeps growing and thriving.
Its so hard to say goodbye and when we do not have time to even think those things its even harder. Strokes just have zero warning:(

I think Merlin send a otrb meezer message to visit and I thank goodness I did. It's a shock to hear beautiful Minko is gone. Please accept my deep condolences for your loss. The sudden death from a stroke is sometimes worse because there is no warning. Our Gris Gris passed that way but loss is loss. If there is anything I can do let me know. By an odd coincidence, I resumed my pet loss study last week. If if it feels right to fill out a questionnaire, pls email me. Hugs for now.

ReplyDeleteI'm unbearably sorry to hear about Minko's sudden loss. That happened to us in 2010 - and it's so shocking and difficult to bear, and utterly heartbreaking.
Please know you are in our hearts and our thoughts. Sweet Minko is such a gorgeous, beautiful soul and we pray that his memory may be a blessing to you.
