| MrJackFreckles wonders if this might be a good spot to hunt for a Thanksgiving Turkey...or maybe venison, since its deer hunting season now...this was taken a few days ago...today is dark and cold and snowy...OMD! |
Well, its less than a week before Thanksgiving! Wow! Time flies. Petcretary was working the past few days, and the weather was superb for this time of the year...but she wanted to get outside to finish mulching/mowing...today...but nope, the weather was not cooperating. It snowed! And there was accumulation, yikes!

Shucks. Though it did mean she stayed inside with us all day:) Which was great until she thought, hey, its a good time to make some pre-Thanksgiving pictures, and help the furs take their selfies...She had been watching the Michigan Wolverines vs Indiana Hoosiers College Football game...and UofM won!! Go blue!! Hail!!
Pipo was not at all thrilled to take time out from bird watching...

Minko decided it was a good day to give petcretary some nice pictures, maybe then he will score more catnip and mousies, since he of course will only sniff at food and not eat any unless petcretary makes him eat..sigh...wouldn't we all be evfur so eternally thankfur if he began to eat on his own again?? We sure would.
Maybe this is one reason Pipo doesn't like 'picture sessions'??

DeleteIf we were models, we would drive the petcretary out of her mind...to get one good picture takes a million or so bad ones...and if he had to make really good modeling ones, OMC!! Not gonna happen said the petcretary! MOL!
We didn't see too many burds today...the weather was soggy all the day lng...but they come in droves when the sun is out. But...we only watch them onoccasion, we get annoyed that we cannot get close to sniff them and lay with them...

Those are wonderful! I have such a hard time getting Siamese Fergus to cooperate with props in photos. He always bats them out of the frame before I'm ready to snap the shot!

Yup, we had some snow...but we sure were glad we did not get the dumping on that other parts of the USA had after that snow came through here. It sure made a mess in New York and the middle of the country. Winter just wanted to arrive early we think.
Our snow is all gone now...but we have had lots of dreary days of rain and even fog.
These pictures are just adorable. We can't believe you got so much snow! We're still getting weather in the 50's.

That flower is a gallardia, and yes it is a perennial. It will be put in a better place next year. Its all droopy now, since that snow fall, and we have had cold nights down to 19 a few days ago. No more flowers here...
Minko gets 5mg of prednisolone each day, alternating with 2.5mg if he is not being stressed about things. If he gets loose bowels then we sty on the hugher does too. Or too mich vomiting.
He gets famotadine,at night, and prilosec in the morning. And vitamin B and probiotics too. His grain free pate noms are without those nasty ingredients that cause bowel issues, such as carrageenan. Petcretary doesn't buy noms for any fur or two legger with that, and we are all on grain free here, even the peeps! (Paleo). Minko did get a shot of depomedrol when this first started but it did not seem to make any difference,and the appetite stimulant did not do anything either other than make Minko become a yowling werewolf-kitty:(
He did gain about 1 1/2 pounds since he began to be hand fed,and he maintains that on the amount he gets...so at least while it is a pain to do and time consuming, he does fine this way and out of the love we have for him we will continue this way as long as we can.
