Wednesday/Thursday Snow For Sunday Selfies!

Yes, we finally the first big snow of the winter. We have had snow here and there, but this storm dumped over a foot on us. The whole area was shut down and the police requested everyone to stay home if at all possible. So we did, Even the lady who has her little shop around the corner from us, called petcretary and said she had cancelled all her appointments for the day...and so *she* had to reschedule...which means she'll be shaggy for another week, till she gets her haircut. Oh well, we had her here with us...Her and pawppy worked on the cleanup job. It took them three hours...just in the driveway...and the plow did not even come through to dump the end full again. No plow on our road till in the evening of Thursday.

Any volunteers to help dig us out?? LOL!

The road was not plowed until about 48 ours after the storm.

Well, its a big job, but it is kind of pretty...sigh...

The snow was deeper than the top of this shovel.

No water today...sorry birdies...
Friday we got a couple more inches, sheesh! Oh well, its Winter in Michigan!
Bittersweet berries...in the bush across the street from our house.
Saturday, petcretary finally got to clear a path for us, hooray!
Benji Paw-Prints, in the ice that fell, before the 'big snow'.

Benji sort of plowed us a path so we can hunt and chase varmints.

I want to run back there to chase squirrels, but its SO deep and cold...

Nope,  I am coming back...

Thank you petcretary, for clearing our sidewalk!

Thanks for making us a path!
Petcretary guessed right, the first right guess, of the teaser which was Winnipeg, a Canadian city.

Pookah, known to many former Dogster members (Carol Binkley on FB), became an Angel-Pup, recently.

We just heard that Myrnie from Noir Kitty Mews, also recently went to live at the RB. We haven't yet made a memento for her but here is Ann's from Zoolatry, until we can get one made from our resident image maker.
Myrnie

We are joining the Sunday Selfies! Thanks Kitties Blue, for hosting this each week. We love you all!

  1. Oh my, look at all that white stuff, and how deep it is. Thank goodness it is so rare here in the UK. You all stay safe and warm, and if possible, help the humans out with snow clearing :)
Thanks for sharing Myrna's badge. I know Kerry really appreciates everyone doing so.
    Purrs to you all

  3. We got over a foot of new snow this week and that was on top of the foot that was already there! It's also been too cold for us to play in it but that's okay since it's a bit too deep to walk through.

  5. So sorry for the loss of your 'fur-iends.' Your snow is pretty unbelievable and definitely is greater than what fell here. After shoveling out a 'pee-tio' space for the dogs, they completely ignored it to go in the absolute deepest snow in the dog run. 🙄 Why do dogs do that??

  6. We're so sorry to hear about your furriend Mymie. Purrs to all.
That is quite a lot of snow. We had the big dump last week, a whole lot melted and then Friday we got the rain-sleet-snow dump. Hope you are all set with plowing, shoveling, scraping -- that winter sure is hard work.

  7. Wow, that was a lot of snow! I am glad we don't get anything like that, although I remember in the 50s and early 60s getting regular and heavy snowfalls.

  11. That is an awful lot of snow!!!
Here in Israel, mass hysteria sets in if We get a couple of inches of the horrid, wet stuff. It's pretty to look at from a warm room behind a double-glazed window but We sniffed a pile of it once on Our Entrance Porch and We've gotta say, you can keep it!
