Hello everyone!
Its Sunday again, so that means its time for our selfies and all the other important stuff we want to tell you about. Or woof about as the case may be.
A little while ago we showed you our Weeping Cherry tree...well by now all the blossoms are gone, and its all green with leaves. But: There is a smaller tree in front of it, called a dogwood. Our pawrents brought it here from Pawppy's home in Washington DC, many years ago...along with a purple lilac. The lilac is slow to thrive, and it only puts out a few blooms, and the dogwood, while it doesn't bark...(so then WHY is it called a dogwood??), it does bloom now, it took many years for that to happen, so we love to see it, even if it isn't a 'prize specimen'!
We will try to get on Mail Chimp or another email server, and that is where the annoying things start to happen, since *she* is not technically inclined...sheesh! She's about to pull out her hair, LOL! Pawppy didn't even know what to do about it...of course his tech knowledge is of a very different than this kind of thing...
Well, if anyone knows what/how to do, could they help her out?? We want to have you easily be able to read our blog posts and not have to hunt in the web for them...they might get lost that way, BOL!
Well, at any rate we have made some cuties to cheer her up:
Last Tuesday at Teddy's Tuesday Teaser, Petcretary provided the picture that was the Teaser!
Muskoka region, Ontario, Canada; Picture provided by Angela Nirta, a (Catster) friend, who lives in London, Ontario. Petcretary lived there before she came to Michigan! |
Nobody was able to guess that place...not even any Canadians who visited the Teaser.
So it was a doozy or a whopper of a teaser!! These were the proffered badges:
I was one of FIVE (yes I said FIVE) students who were FIRST COMMENTERS on the Teaser post of April 27, 2021. Amazing! |
My Teaser photo was used on the TEASER of April 27, 2021 AND it FOOLED EVERYONE! YAY FOR ME! |
We had to say goodby over the past week, to some blogging furry ones. So sad...sheesh, will those doors to the RB ever stay closed?
Anyways in no particular order...here are the newest Angels that we knew about:
Pierre, from Sometimes Cats Herd You |
Pip, from Catscue |
Sophie, from Life At Golden Pines |
Nice selfies! Fortunately for me, my human migrated the majority of our email subscribers to Mailchimp quite a while ago, so we only have about 20 people to switch over. She doesn't remember how it got done, though! She doesn't think it was hard.
ReplyDeleteThe trees are lovely, and your selfies are too.
ReplyDeleteI get notifications of all the blogs I follow in Feedly. I think I have a "Follow by email" widget in my sidebar so I suppose that means I should remove it.
Stunning Keisha had some helpful suggestions a week or so ago; will send you that LINK in case you did not see that post. Also another LINK I heard of; tho have not yet tried any. After over 10 yrs of blogging (and not
ReplyDeletebeing techy, this is frustrating and upsetting). However: if you did wordpress ONLY, check out Brian's Home as wordpress has a simple and really great solution, better than any others.
Living in the DC Metro area all the dogwood, whites and pinks are in full bloom now all over and are they ever gorgeous, as is yours!
In closing HELLO CUTE PUPSTERS!
The blooms are beautiful, don't you just love Spring?! The pups look pawsome and we are so touched that you made that beautiful tribute to our Pip. Have a wonderful 1st week in May.
ReplyDeleteLove the Dogwoods and the Lilacs and your selfies are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThose are great selfies! It's too bad dogwood trees don't bark, right? BOL!
ReplyDeleteI confess that losing Pip broke ur hearts. Such a youngster and gone too soon. Thank you for his card - I know it will make his mum and dad's hearts a bit lighter.
ReplyDeleteI wonder, does the lilac benefit from any feed? Does it need some (we don't grow it here I think). It looks like it gets some sun.
Pip's passing was so unexpected! We are still sad. Your dog wood is doing well, and the lilacs can take even longer than dogwoods to get established. The one across the street from us bloomed like mad last year, but this year only 2 spikes look like they will bloom. The deer really ate it over the winter. And Feed Burner...we have not even thought about trying to figure that one out! Stunning Keisha did a post 2 Fridays about downloading the mail list and options to transfer it too (if that helps). We hope you have a marvellously happy week!
ReplyDeleteI thinks your trees are beautifuls! Ma's Lilac didn't bloom this year eithers. Ma cut it back last fall, and I thinks it's still 'recovering' ;)
ReplyDeleteI do looooooves your selfies! You guys always take amazingly cute selfies!
So sorry to hears about all the furiends going over the bridge 💔
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
the trees are super... all good things come in trees, right? we think the changes of all blogging things are good for nothing...they ruin the fun we have while writing and they make it to a challenge... more and more...sigh...
ReplyDeleteMom misses the Spring blossoms!!! We have Feedburner and have to figure out what to change to.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
I planted a couple of dogwoods, but I think the groundhog ate most of one of them. Hoping they both will grow big and tall!
ReplyDeleteSorry about those annoying frustrations. Beautiful blooms, and we love the selfies!
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Ollie
Great selfies - and the tree pics are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteOur Human shares your Petcretary's frustration over Feed Burner.
We enjoy the selfies so much! Too bad the dogwood doesn't bark . . . The lilac probably needs more sunlight and maybe some extra feeding since it is competing with the trees for sunlight, water and nutrients. A garden center or arboretum could probably help.
ReplyDeleteYou are a Teaser Pro for sure and we are amazed at how you figure these out--concatulations!
xoxox, BIbi & Meep
You two always look so cute in your selfie. We loved the trees too, that dogwood is very beautiful. I think now the trees are all blooming is a good sign, especially because it took some time for the willow to get there😸 We can't help you with the feedburner, nor with anything of Blogger...MOL...Hope you find the answer, Ingrid. Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞
