Keeping Petcretary Company ~ Sort Of...

 Well, the other night after petcretary came home from her work, we kept her company when she finally sat down at her desk...sort of, BOL! There are two beds behind the desk, one of which is under a small table full of magazines and other junk. Anyways, Dalton likes to use the under the table bed the most, and I Benji will often get on the cushion-bed in front of that. Then we two will start fooling around, by which I mean that I will pester Dalton to start a bitey face game...or even a zooming game. So we were being silly and she got out her camera, and of course we stopped, BOL, BOL!!

So she made us take selfies for today instead...

Nothing to see, petcretary, nothing at all...snickers...

I wasn't being a pest...nope...

See, we're just resting nice and quiet like... BOL!!

We also missed International Dog Day...bad petcretary, BOL! We feel we are true internationals, our petcretary is Canadian 🇨🇦, and our pawppy is American 🇺🇸...and the unfurbros have dual citizenship, and not only that, petcretary almost could have had Dutch citizenship 🇳🇱, but she didn't know about that until the deadline for doing that had passed...but our Auntie has both Canadian and Dutch citizenship. And of course we have friends from all over the world 🌎 !

Post Birthday Selfies

 This past Wednesday the 20th was Dalton's Birthday, but we had to wait till now to let you see the 'official' BD pics...we won't bother you with excuses, BOL!

I am sorry to say...

I had to pay the Hat Tax in order to have my feast of burger and ice cream.

Amongst my treats of a burger and ice cream, you can see my new toys: a big orange snake and a set of green peas, BOL!

Well, I was obliged to show you the BD pics from my day back in June, to keep up with today's theme...

I am not sure which is worse, the hat or the 'crown'...

Now to keep up with the festive scene, we are showing an old ussie from Easter 2021...it helps us remember that eventually we will get cooler weather, though it hasn't been too awful the past few days, 80F is a lot better than 90+F!

Happy Birthday, Dalton!

 Today is the day that was 'assigned' to me, Dalton,  as my birthday, actually no one knows my real special day....so this was the day I was taken off the streets during Hurricane Harvey, in Texas.So in a way it was the first day of the rest of my (new) life...

And yes, sometimes we do have bunnies in our yard...which we chase out! BOL! This one was brave to bring me some balloons!

Petcretary found out that she won an Amazon gift card from Miss Ellen, from 15&Meowing...so since it's my birthday, shouldn't she use that to get me something...like treats or toys??

I sure hope I won't have to wear a hat...

I may be wordy and yet we are still joining up with Wordless Wednesday...I Dalton, don't usually have a lot of words, just barks and whines and some grrrs, BOL!

In The Shade Selfies

 It's been mostly a quiet week around this den of ours, petcretary says that's a good thing. It  still is quite hot and humid, so everyone just wants to lollygag in shady spots or inside with the AC. So today's selfies include  an ussie of us doing just that, while *she* slaves in the yard, mowing the grass.

A Guest For Selfie Sunday

 Petcretary is working this weekend. Therefore we are allowing her to show a sweet pup that came to visit her family at the nursing home where petcretary works.

Her name is Annabelle, and she is a Dachshund puppy...about 3 months old when these were taken, looks like she might become a big girl! 

Petcretary thinks Dalton has a lot of the same facial expressions as Annabelle. Hmmm...just raise up her ears...BOL!

She seems to have a lot of character and 'dogatude', in fact even at her young age she was attempting to grump at things she didn't like, BOL!

DNA Report Selfies

 We had to go to the vet this past week...it was time for a checkup and some vaccines, so off we went. All was well, no bad stuff to report, other than Dalton is getting the blue tinted eyes, which means he has the beginnings of cataracts...a common occurrence in senior doggies. We got our new script for our heartworm prevention, and the test was negative as well.

It stayed very hot here until Wednesday, then the humidity started to drop, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday were in the mid 70'sF. Very pleasant. We still see a lot of haze from the wildfires in Canada...today is lovely as well.we actually have had our windows open to let the cool night breezes come in. Ahhh, makes for comfy sleeping, both for man and for beast alike!

Why doesn't someone open this pocket door for me so I can go and see/sniff whatever is on the other side...

Take a good look at Benji and then look at this DNA profile...does Benji even remotely resemble an American Pitbull Terrier??? We always figured he was a Schnauzer mix, perhaps with a Patterdale or Border Terrier...Well.we still have two other DNA tests from a different company that were gifted to us, so we'll check what they have to say about Benji...and we'll do the other one for Dalton.

We were quite floored when we read these results! We sure hope they tested Benji's sample and didn't get it mixed up with another pup's...

Why are we in this small room?? I need answers and a lot of reassurance, cause this place makes me nervous...
