In Loving Memory...Chester and Nuisy

Last week, Chester, from the Daily Bone graduated to the realms of all the angels and his furblings who went there earlier...living now at the Rainbow Bridge. He will be sorely missed by his loving family, and of course all of us in Blogville! He was well known for his reports on the goings on at his home and those of his family members. We sure hope the squirrels don't take over the yard there, now that he isn't there to chase them anymore. We'll miss the nature reports and the fine pics that he always showed us.

Fly Free, Chester, You will always be held close in our hearts.

And yet another kitty left for the RB at Ms Lulu's home, (Ebby and Ceely's Mom from Dogster Days)...the third one. How very sad and heartbreaking.

Nuisy was  a beautiful black kitty. She was 12 years old.

We are in the middle of this bad winter storm/blizzard that has traffic snarled and Christmas travel all messed up. Perfect timing...NOT!

So we are putting our family Christmas celebration on hold…we’ll do it a few days later, on account of that we cancelled the ‘doings’ on Saturday…the weather is making the roads too treacherous till later on Sunday…a three day storm, petcretary has to work on Christmas Day, and so we’ll try for Monday.
(The temp was about 35F this afternoon (Thursday), and at this time (Friday am), its about 16F…snow is blowing everywhere…wind chills could get to -25F) (Update...when I got up earlier today, it was 4F!!)
Sorry if you missed me visiting...I am way behind…in visiting/commenting...even my chores, LOL! Everything sort of happened all at once around here…and then I even got to have confuser troubles, (Though at least I didn’t need a new one…yet…)…as if life itself wasn’t enough! Maybe by New Year's it might ease up around here...

Dalton & Benji:

*She* even missed our doggy cousin Edie's birthday! Sheesh!

Here he is, on his close to Christmastime B'day!

My brother was just diagnosed with melanoma, and had surgery for that, to see if it had spread...so that is an added worry...Pawppy seems to be OK, thankfully, though he has a lot of issues with mobility...and I am still his taxi service, which of course is yet another reason I get behind...

Well, in  two days it will be Christmas!! We wish you all the very best of celebrations, and safety if you have to go anywhere.

Merry Christmas!
I am joining up with the Feline Friday Blog hop, for Nuisy...but Chester has/had kitty cousins, so...

Feline Friday...click to go there!

  3. We were so sorry to hear about Chester crossing the Rainbow Bridge. He was our nearest (in real life) Blogville resident although we never met in the furs. Stay safe during this nasty weather. Merry Chirstmas!

  4. Thankyou so much for that beautiful tribute to Chester. He is sorely missed. It's really strange not to have a dog in the house, and all the routines that go with it for the first time in almost 30 years.

We're having some of that terrible storm right now here in WNY: high winds and cold temperatures. We're probably going to postpone our Christmas with the kids until next week sometime. I'm working Christmas Day too. Hope you have a Happy Christmas!

  6. Lovely memory images for Chester and Nuisy. But dear Ingrid, please slow down ~ you're in overdrive and we worry for you, it's time to "stop and smell the flowers" as they say (if you can find any under all that snow!). Pausing now to wish you and yours, even if delayed a little ~ a joyous and beautiful Christmas. Love, Ann and June

  7. Happy Belated Birthday Eddie, my condolences to the families left behind. Great idea to move Christmas forward until better weather, the day was picked by mankind anyway, its not the date at all. Merry Christmas.
My hubby was diagonosed with Melanaoma and had 3 surgeries and that was in 2017, he is 86 and has been melanoma free since then, goes every 3 months for a quick check up. prayers for your brother.
