Well, the yoyo weather continues around here. We have had nice warm days in the mid to upper sixties, we've had plenty of rain, and we've had cold days too. Friday night we had snow! But most of it was gone by midday on Saturday...
Petcretary continues her battle with the weeds...she's focusing on one kind and when that gets under control she'll do battle with another kind. Over the years she has gotten good control of all the invasive garlic mustard that was taking over the yard at one time. It is edible, but who needs an acre of that! Besides it takes away light, moisture and crowds out other native plants. she knows what the seedlings look like, it's best to get them out of there while they are very small.
Petcretary's friend continues to have bad reactions to the chemo, and has been in the hospital twice. sometimes the chemo seems to be worse than the problem it's used for, sigh... She sure hopes that soon this ordeal will be over so that her friend can recover and be the grandma and great grandma she wants to be.
Petcretary broke a tooth...but thankfully it didn't need a crown, and it seems to be fine now after the dentist fixed it all up. She spent 2 hours there, wow!
Us pups were showing tooth issues too, esp Dalton, so for the last several weeks we have been using some specialized sprinkles over our food, (Kelp and brown seaweed), and getting a gel put on/rubbed into our teeth. By now it is looking a lot better, we are trying to avoid a dental from the vet...esp for Dalton as he ages.
Yesterday, we got into the car, after getting fancied up a bit, to see what kind of Easter activities were at the local pet shops. We met the Easter Bunny! (Pictures saved for Easter...) When we got back in the car, petcretary took some more pictures...so they will be our Palm Sunday Selfies! Sorry we don't have any images with palm branches...well unless she uses some AI...nah...
Apparently one of the pet shops is having an Easter egg hunt for pets next Saturday! We hope we can go to that!

I say, an easter egg hunt sounds fab. I bet you two fun loving hounds will have no problem sniffing out the easter bunny and their eggs. Especially if there are any treats inside them eggs ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, and we look forward to your non-AI Easter photographs.
We pray your staff's friend settles to he treatment very soon. It must be horrible to feel worse than before.
Healing purrs and mantras

I am sorry your friend is having bad side effects from the chem. From experience I know how miserable it is making her feel. Even my oncologist said I wad getting just about every side effect! I hope her chemo is successful, and when she gets to the end of it she starts to feel human again.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you all got your teeth sorted out. Immunotherapy is making my teeth brittle and starting to crumble, but I have to put up with that.
I look forward to seeing all your Easter photos.
Benji and Dalton you both look fantastic. Even though Petcretary has been so busy taking care of her friend and doing so much weeding she is thinking about you too. She'll get you out there for that Easter egg hunt next weekend I bet. And a couple of pictures with the Easter Bunny for us to see later on. We too have had the up and down weather and as soon as this down goes away this weekend they say it's going to get warm and rain some more. Just what we need. I should have had a swimming pool dug by now.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy week, dudes mew look epic. We can't wait to see the Easter Bunny pics next week. Here's hoping the weeds are being driven back to whence they came. And sending oodles of healing purrs for the Petcretary's friend... 🐾🐾
ReplyDeleteHaha laughed at the yoyo weather! We have it too, honestly been crazy weather over here! You are both looking mighty fine and lovely smiles. Sorry about your friend, I hope things get better. Lucky about the tooth too, I am not a fan of dentists or teef troubles!!!

ReplyDeleteLove your ribbony collars, fellas!
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about that broken tooth.
The Hubby has a dentist appt next week, and he's sure he's going to get a real working over!
Ugh...dental issues. Wilson just had his teeth cleaned and with him fast approaching 8, we think about that too. I'm going to start brushing his teeth with coconut-that stuff works pretty good.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to your Petcretary with her weed quest. Pulling is hard work, I have used agricultural strength vinegar to get rid of the bind weed that vexed me at the old house. I sure hope it doesn't pop up at the new place. That stuff is impossible to get rid of. Can't believe you're still getting snow! Here's hoping spring finally takes root.
lookin pawz UP pawsum doodz with yur easturr collarz !!! past tell lookz good with yur furz ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, you met the Easter Bunny?! You are so lucky! I have tried many times to meet bunnies and they always run away really fast!"
ReplyDeleteYou both look adorable. I am sorry your Petcretary's friend is not doing well with the chemo. Also sorry about the broken tooth. XO
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot going on! Your photos are just adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou both look so cute! We hope you get to go on the egg hunt too. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
ReplyDeletewe love your palm sunday selfies... and we are glad your petcretary and the tooth are ok... thats good when things end that way...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your weeds and friend and tooth and all....are you sure you cannot eat those weeds? Mama mulches and has no weeds but if this is a lawn, it's different. This may help.

Whoa! That is way too detailed and way past my level! Most of the weeds are non native invaders, some are edible/non-toxic, but others are nasty all around. I do not use chemical control of any kind, I just pull them out and try to prevent spread by getting rid of the flowers/seed heads. I used to put everything in a compost pile, but then the seeds started to sprout right there, so I just put it all in the trash. I did eat some of the edible ones yesterday, in my salad, LOL! I suppose I could sell these, if there was a market for them LOL!!
DeleteYou both look very festive.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for the friend.
It's a teeth and dentist week all around! Mum went to the dentist this week too (no broken tooth tho') .
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry your friend is not doing well. You are so right, the things meant to make it better don't always * sigh *
I am sure you are excellent passengers
ReplyDeleteYour selfies are purrfect and I love your curly ribbons
