That's right folks, Petcretary abandoned us on Friday, and didn't get back until late on Saturday. Phooey.
She said she met up with dozens of other ladies, old and young, to hear a speaker, at a women's conference sponsored by the Church Federation she belongs to. She also met some ladies there, that she knew, so for her it was a good day and a half, refreshing and revitalizing, too. It's always good to meet up with like minded people...Since she's not on a schedule for her work anymore, it is a lot easier than trying to get vacation time off on a weekend. Now she just signs up and goes! (It's an annual event for the last 29 years!)
We were glad to see her on her routine, and since she came outside with us, we forgave her for the abandonment...
Anyways...we pups and also our pawrents are happy now that it is officially spring, Hooray! And the past several days have been very springlike, at least here they were, nio coat needed...and the early spring bulbs are showing good spurts of growth. Also the weeds are burgeoning...sigh...
So we will show you two older selfies from last early fall, not sure if they are repeats or not, but who cares, BOL!!
| Caught with my ears up...I was not looking at petcretary... |
| I can't wait until our grass is nicely green and soft again, like here in this pic from Sept 2025! (And whoa, I am smiling, so often I have a serious look about me...I am anything but!) |

Sounds like your staff have had a wonderful time! but are you sure they were at a conference and not off on some secret agent mission???? Mrs H does that, maybe your staff do too, possibly working together ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your selfies, old or not, seeing green grass, happy faces, and sun is always a delight.

ReplyDeleteI got to shed my coat walking too and your selfies are wonderful, guys! It sounds like Petcretary had a great meeting so it's good all around!
ReplyDeleteI am glad Petcretary had a lovely time at the conference, and met up with old friends. Your selfies are lovely.
ReplyDeleteNew selfies or old selfies, both of you look absolutely wonderful. And yes hopefully the grass will get that green very soon. And the ground will be warm enough for you to lay down in it. We had Sunshine here late yesterday afternoon and precious was at the front door soaking it up. I bundled up and went outside and pulled weeds for the first time this year. I don't know if spring has sprung that I can tell you that the weeds have sprung

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that Petcretary got a good minibreak - fondness makes the heart grow fonder and all that! Your selfies are just fine, no matter their age. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
It's important to let our people have the occasional bit of fun with their friends! It makes them miss us!
ReplyDeleteWoofs,

It's nice that the petcretary had a good time! Your selfies are great no matter when you took them.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your mom had a good time with the other ladies. You two look so cute in your selfies, too.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you don't get abandonned again. Tigris, Styx and Lanie too
ReplyDeleteNice selfies. Glad Petcretary had a good time. XO
ReplyDeleteGood to see you cuties! We got more snow this week :(
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely portraits. Oddly enough our Autumn has been 100% summer weather (more than summer was!)
ReplyDeleteYou both look happy in your selfies, and it doesn’t matter when they were taken. So nice that your mom was able to get away. Our mom misses BogPaws, as she was able to share that same type of camaraderie there. We are so happy to see Spring. Hyacinths and daffodils blooming for mom and lots of catio time for us. Thanks for hopping with us! XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid & Sawyer, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Kizmet, Audrey, Raleigh, Gibbs & Tali
ReplyDeleteI love the selfies and am so very glad your mommy feels revitalized after a bit of time away. Everyone needs a break sometimes.
ReplyDeleteits amazing how fast the weed starts to grow... it is really growing like weed...
ReplyDeleteLulu: "We're glad Petcretary enjoyed her conference and seeing the ladies she knows! Our Dada went to a couple of writing conventions back in the day but he just mostly found it exhausting!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, once there are walkies and treats, all is forgiven! We know how that goes!"
Sounds good and lovely photos :-D
ReplyDeleteHi hi hi! Ojo here! Abandoned?!? Oh no! You do look lovely in your throwbacks. I wish you much green grass soon.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful your Petcretary was able to spend some time with friends for a day and a half. It's rejuvenating to do events like that. Glad spring has arrived in your neck of the woods. Whatever pitiful winter we experienced quickly dissipated into full on summer heat. Ugh..we're are not fans of the hot temps and ultra dry conditions. I cannot even contemplate what July and August are going to be like! As always, adorable selfies, you two. Have a great week. Sorry I'm late in commenting-been traveling every other day to my Dad's and I'm soooo behind.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great time for your mommy and you two are gorgeous as effurr. Neffurr worry about old pictures, we always see them as new...MOL...Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to you two and your mommy too🐾😘💞
ReplyDeleteHi Guys! Even though I, Marvelous, am a week late, I shall tell you that you guys look spectacular! Momsneedtoget away and have fun with their furrends! My favorite is when my human bro takesNutmeg down to "visit" with her sister Margret (she lives just up our street). Magret and Nutmeg chase and take turns running after each other (on opposite sides of the fence). Boy can those grrls run! I sure enjoy watching them (from a distance). Do you guys play chase? Keep being awesome. Marvelous Marv
