This week petcretary was tempted...sorely tempted. And torn apart in her heart...because on the same day, there were shown two adoptable furs. One kitty and one puppy. A 5 month old JRT pup, looked furry cute, and almost like MrJackFreckles when he was a wee one.
Awww, but at this time dog-guy is not really feeling too swell, he only eats in mouthfuls and nothing tempts him consistently, so there is a smorgasbord of dishes of all kinds of foodables to try and tempt him to eat. Some days he eats a whole bowl, other days only a few bites all day...sigh...But he seems his regular self otherwise. He runs outside and sniffs the perimeter to check for varmints, etc. And barks...He likes to investigate what we do outside if we are doing yard work. He will beg for treat! Nothing wrong there, BOL!
Anypaws, this pup was at the same place where they would not let us have a couple of other pups, cause they said MJF's behavior indicated he didn't want a brofur...so we did not want to have to deal with them again...His name was Kaboodle! At the moment, We can't find him in the shelter's listings so there is no picture...therefore we sure do hope he already is adopted:)
And later she was seeing a sweet kitty, a meezer! An adult named Buster, MOL! What a funny name for a meezer, but we had a Groucho so we know about strange names:)

Well, Pipo seems to be thriving as a single kitty, and with all the issues of dog-guy at the moment, we didn't think it was prudent to add a kitty here at this time...sigh...We do hope he finds a good forevfur home really soon!
Petcretary received a wonderful gift from Angel Nellie's Mom...and she took it to the framing store...and now she has to wait to show all of you...waiting can be hard, but its part of life, as Miss Barb sure knows. She is still waiting for Marv to arrive; What a great day that will be!

Sorry to hear MJF has been a bit off his food but great to see he is keeping up patrols and the barking stuff. Lovely selfies from you both, outdoors sure can be fun though a nap is a nap and needs to be taken just in case it runs away! MOL

Great selfies today! I'm sure Kaboodle found a home, and I hope Buster does too soon - I think it is funny that your human had a cat named Groucho, and this one also has the name of a vintage comedian (Buster Keaton)!

I am sorry MJF is having such a tough time. I wish you could adopt that kitty, he sure is a cutie, but as you wrote Pipo is thriving as an only cat. I love your selfies, very cute. Buster takes a fine selfie too. Good job being correct on the Teaser, that is hard to do. I don't even get them correct when they are in my own state :) XO

ReplyDeletethe mama grinned as she read about the names ...a JRT named Kaboodle, bet the name is the motto ;o) Once many moons ago the mama and her cousins had a goat what they named mrs hepple, like the math teacher... no wonder that the mama came home every year with a fat F in math LOL

ReplyDeleteWe wanted to get a puppy this summer. But ghostwriter's knees have gotten so bad, that she didn't think she could handle walking and training one. (She's scheduled for a knee replacement October 10th.) Maybe next year I'll get a brother or sister. We're also looking at a place called Cherished Cockers in Ohio where they rescue older cocker spaniels. We hope MJF will do well. It's tough when an older doggie starts losing his appetite. Glad Pipo is healthy!

ReplyDeleteI have met your brother Minko! He was one of the angel cats helping Queen Penelope when I was travelling from Iran to Vancouver! He told me many funny stories about Pipo and and Mr Jack Freckles! You sound like GRAND animals! I do hope that I can learn to love my fur siblings and much as Minko tells me that you guys love each other! And Mr Jack Freckles, food is good!
