We Bees Inspired And Uplifted By These Words Of Wisdom

August 20th 2011 9:40 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 12 people already have ] This is the furry furst diary evfur written by Pipo & Minko as a joint effort.

We were kind of given a P.U.S.H.
over the edge to start this series of wise and inspiring tidbits that we and meowmy glean from our readings and snoopings into that huge web of the world...and being kitties we cannot fail but to snoop around for the 'good stuff'

We don't think it will be a daily or even a regular place of jottings, but when we find something worth sharing we will ask meowmy to post it here, thus leaving our purrsonal pages for kitty stuff.

Anyways, the first wise word that we found quite inspiring and uplifting in the stressful world that is ours today was about P.U.S.H...

JUST PUSH

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared.

The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin.

The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might...

So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold,
massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might!

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man's weary mind. (He will do it every time!)
"You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure.

These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort, and that will be good enough."
That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

"Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push.

And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself.

Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your
abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock.

But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom.

That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock.."

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.

By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who moves the mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong.................................Just P.U.S.H.

When the job gets you down..................................Just P.U.S.H.

When people don't do as you think they should................................Just P.U.S.H.

When your money is "gone" and the bills are due...................................Just P.U.S.H.

When people just don't understand you...................................Just P.U.S.H.

P = Pray
U = Until
S = Something
H = Happens

Pass this on to all your loved ones and friends who may need it, they may get it just in time.

"Though no one can go back and make a **brand new start**, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending."

Friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have
trouble remembering how to fly.

May God Bless You.

...and purrs to all!

A CRABBY INSPIRATION

August 22nd 2011 10:52 am
[ Leave A Comment | 9 people already have ] Meowmy works with elderly people and some not so elderly, but who are incapacitated in some way or another.
Meowmy's brightest moments which make her oft dreary or repetitive job so worth doing are when she manages to get a real conversation going with a resident, so that both are enriched, smiling or giggling or feeling great and able to go on...
She finds that there is always room in her heart to love these folks like her own family and feels bad when they are not doing well...
Any contact she has with *her* residents she tries to find the time to chat, even during the doing of the daily mundane tasks...and now even after a few short weeks, some of the residents call her by name, and ask to have her as their aide for that shift...OMC!
If that isn't inspiring then we don't know what is!

Even in the busiest times there is always time for kind words and deeds.

Here is another thought provoking message related to meowmy's work...she wants to copy it and post it in a frame at her job!

CRABBY OLD MAN

When an old man died in the chronic ward of a nursing home in Ontario, Canada, it was believed that he had nothing left of any value.

Later, when the nurses were going through his meager possessions, they found this poem. Its quality and content so impressed the staff that
copies were made and distributed to every Nurse, RPN & PSW in the nursing home.
One nurse took her copy to Calgary .

The old man's sole bequest to posterity has since appeared in the Christmas edition of the News Magazine of the Canadian Association for
Mental Health. A slide presentation has also been made based on his simple, but eloquent, poem.

And this little old man, with nothing left to give to the world, is now the author of this 'anonymous' poem winging across the Internet.

Crabby Old Man...

What do you see nurses? . . .. .. . What do you see?
What are you thinking . . . . . when you're looking at me?
A crabby old man . . . .. . not very wise,
Uncertain of habit . . . . . with faraway eyes?

Who dribbles his food . . . . . and makes no reply.
When you say in a loud voice . .. . . . 'I do wish you'd try!'
Who seems not to notice . . . . . the things that you do.
And forever is losing . . . . . A sock or shoe?

Who, resisting or not . . . .. . lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding . . . . . The long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking? . . . . . Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse . . . . . you're not looking at me.

I'll tell you who I am. . . . . . As I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding, . . . .. . as I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of Ten . . . . . with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters . . . . . who love one another.

A young boy of Sixteen . .. . . with wings on his feet.
Dreaming that soon now . . .. . . a lover he'll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty . . . . . my heart gives a leap.
Remembering, the vows . . . . . that I promised to keep.

At Twenty-Five, now . . . . . I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide . . . . . And a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty . . . . .. My young now grown fast,
Bound to each other . . . . . With ties that should last.

At Forty, my young sons . . .. . . have grown and are gone,
But my woman's beside me . . . . . to see I don't mourn.
At Fifty, once more, babies play 'round my knee,
Again, we know children . . . .. . My loved one and me.

Dark days are upon me . . . . . my wife is now dead.
I look at the future . . . . . shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing . .. . . . young of their own.
And I think of the years . . . . . and the love that I've known.

I'm now an old man . . . . .. and nature is cruel.
T'is jest to make old age . . . . . look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles . . . . . grace and vigor, depart.
There is now a stone . . . . where I once had a heart.

But inside this old carcass . . . . . a young guy still dwells,
And now and again . . . . . my battered heart swells.
I remember the joys . . . . . I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and living . . . .. . life over again.

I think of the years, all too few . . . . . gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact . . . . that nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people .. . .. . . open and see.
Not a crabby old man .. .. . Look closer . . . see ME!!

Remember this poem when you next meet an older person, that you might brush aside without looking at the young soul within.

We will all, one day, be there, too!
If we live long enough.

Coulda-Woulda-Shoulda...

[ Leave A Comment | 19 people already have ] Here is another thought that could be an inspiration to go and let your hair down and forget the cares of the day...
OMC! The internet is full of cool stuff, good thing meowmy has us to help her dig it out!

PRETTY PROFOUND. Enjoy and then go for it...whatevfur it may be!

Too many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine.

I got to thinking one day about all those people on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back. From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible.

How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word 'refrigeration' mean nothing to you?

How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched 'Jeopardy' on television?

I cannot count the times I called my sister and said , 'How about going to lunch in a half hour?' She would gas up and stammer, 'I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain' And my personal favorite: 'It's Monday.' She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together.

Because Americans cram so much into their lives, we tend to schedule our headaches.. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect!

We'll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained. We'll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet. We'll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college.

Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of 'I'm going to,' 'I plan on,' and 'Someday, when things are settled down a bit.'

When anyone calls my 'seize the moment' friend, she is open to adventure and available for trips. She keeps an open mind on new ideas. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. You talk with her for five minutes, and you're ready to trade your bad feet for a pair of Rollerblades and skip an elevator for a bungee cord.

My lips have not touched ice cream in 10 years. I love ice cream. It's just that I might as well apply it directly to my stomach with a spatula and eliminate the digestive process. The other day, I stopped the car and bought a triple-decker. If my car had hit an iceberg on the way home, I would have died happy.

Now...go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to...not something on your SHOULD DO list. If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?

Make sure you read this to the end; you will understand why I sent this to you.

Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night? Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask 'How are you?' Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head? Ever told your child, 'We'll do it tomorrow.' And in your haste, not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say 'Hi'?

When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift....Thrown away.... Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.

'Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance!'

A Baseball Game In Heaven

September 25th 2011 7:41 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Since baseball is slowly winding down the season, we thought it would be appropriate to miaow this inspiring game story that we found in that great web of internets...and we need to hear things like this to keep our spirits well.
---

The Lord's Baseball Game

Marie and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team.

The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the ninth inning, with two outs.
They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate named Love.
Love swung at the first pitch and hit a single, because "Love never fails".
The next batter was named Faith, who also got a single because Faith works with Love.
The next batter up was named Godly Wisdom. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch.
Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass: Ball one. Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked because he never swings at what Satan throws.
The bases were now loaded. The Lord then turned to Marie and told her He was now going to bring in His star player. Up to the plate stepped Grace. Marie said, "He sure doesn't look like much!"

Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace.
Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder than anyone had ever seen!
But Satan was not worried; his center fielder let very few get by.
He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head and sent him crashing on the ground.
The roaring crowds went wild as the ball continued over the fence...for a home run!

The Lord's team won!

The Lord then asked Marie if she knew why Love, Faith and Godly Wisdom could get on base but couldn't win the game. Marie answered that she didn't know why.
The Lord explained, "If your love, faith and wisdom had won the game, you would think you had done it by yourself. Love Faith and Wisdom will get you on base, but only My Grace can get you Home." "For by Grace are you saved, it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast."
(Ephesians 2, verses 8&9)

Some Inspiring Thoughts From Our Local Paper

October 3rd 2011 9:25 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Well, meowmy sort of rescued a kitty...a sweet little calico one.
She was ambling aimlessly down the middle of a busy road and the traffic was snarled...but nobody was doing anything at all, except to honk, which was just confusing this poor little kitty.
So meowmy pulled over and got out of her van, and just put up her hand, walked over to that kitty and picked her up. She did not protest or try to run away.
Some peeps waved at meowmy, and one lady rolled down her window and said thanks...but didn't offer to help at all. Whatevfur!
So meowmy walked back to the side walk and put the kitty down on the grass by the nearest home...and kitty walked right into the back yard there...sheesh! Where were her pawrents when they were needed?
Meowmy scoured the papers here but in the next couple of days found no flyers or ads, so she thinks that this kitty had just made a wrong move...she had the biggest lovely golden eyes!

Then today she found these notices in the thanks section of our paper:

• A huge bouquet of roses to the man who I felt was like a guardian angel for me. I pulled off to the side of the road Thursday afternoon, Sept. 22, to rescue a tiny kitten trying to cross a very busy Dickman Road. This man in a blue Ford Ranger stopped behind me, tried to control traffic until I had safely caught the kitten and was back to my truck. I wish I could have spoken with you more - and thanked you - but as you can imagine, the kitten was terrified and I had to get back to my truck with it. Thank you so much whoever you are! God bless you!! - Lori Sanden

• A beautiful bouquet of roses to Gail Mills, Doug Wolfgang, Patty Yost and Taylor Yost for joining us at the Pets Gone Wild Adoption Event. It is because of wonderful volunteers like you that we are able to do these events and reach out to a wider audience. Every animal in the shelter deserves a chance at a loving forever home and we thank you for all that you do in contributing to that both in and out of the shelter. Thanks again. - Humane Society of South Central Michigan

The first one sounds like a similar situation that confronted meowmy.

And once again we are inspired by the fact of all the purrs that helped find Ingen!
And we see that now she is the kitty of the week! Yeah!

Perspectives and Stress Relief...

November 9th 2011 6:38 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 18 people already have ] OMC! It has been a long time since we posted anything here...too long!

Well, meowmy has been going through some stresses and so she thought it would be good to get some stress relief...and of course we know that many of you kitties and your furmilies are also enduring stressfur times, so this is fur you too.
---
Some "perspectives" are worth sharing!

A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience; with a raised glass of water, and everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?'..... she fooled them all... "How heavy is this glass of water?", she inquired with a smile.

Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.

She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance. In each case it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "and that's the way it is with stress. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on."

"As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden - holding stress longer and better each time practiced. So, as early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night... pick them up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment. Relax, pick them up later after you've rested. Life is short. Enjoy it and the now 'supposed' stress that you've conquered!"

1 * Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue!

2 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

3 * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

4 * Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker..

5 * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

6 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it..

7 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

8 * Never buy a car you can't push.

9 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.

10 * Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.

11 * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

12 * The second mouse gets the cheese.

13 * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.

14 * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.

15 * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.

16 * Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once.

17 * We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

18 * A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

19 * Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today.

20 * It was us, your friends!

*Save the earth..... It's the only planet with chocolate !*

----
We hope this served its purpose!

Well, meowmy left us for a few days to go to Ontario and visit her sister and aunt, because her aunt was having her 92nd birthday! And she is doing well, and enjoys all the things her life is blessed with!
She took dog-guy with her, so we had a staycation that was good at least in that regard...but all of a sudden pawppy who was supposed to be staying with us, had to make an emergency trip to Washington, DC. Our Grammy had a massive stroke:( Meowmy asked pawppy if he wanted her to go along, but he said no, that she would have to go in a separate car, and she could not take any more time off her (fairly new) job...since they do not allow enough time to attend a funeral so far away...and yes our Grammy did pass away on the 8th.
(Do not feel too sad for us, Grammy has not been well at all and suffered from severe dementia for a long time, so this is a release from her earthly frailties.)
So meowmy hurried back home from her trip, and now we are here alone...at least for several more days...and meowmy will be missing both the funeral and the memorial service...but at least we can communicate at any time with pawppy via the 'puter or phone...
Tomorrow meowmy has to go back to work...probably a good thing to get her mind on other things!
Sunday the 13th is her birthday...so us kitties will have to do the entertaining for her! We are good at that, we think. It sure will be a strange day for her! And she has to work that day, too, MOL!
Is this stress? MOL! She is glad that we know how to help...we are good at purring and lapwarming...

Well she did go to a group of friends this morning, so at least she is not alone...and her church is a big support, too.

Purrs to all and thanks for stopping by for your own dose of stress relief!

Thanksgiving FUN

November 24th 2011 10:41 am
[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] Well, pals we haven't any wisdom to pen here in a while...nor do we today!
MOL!
But we do have a funny poem to share with you, that meowmy dug up in the interwebs..

The Thanksgiving Poem

T’was the eve of Thanksgiving,
But I just couldn’t sleep.
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned,
The dark meat and white.
But I fought the temptation,
With all of my might.
Tossing and turning,
with anticipation.
The thought of a snack
became infatuation.
So I raced to the kitchen,
Flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge,
Full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey,
And buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots,
Beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling,
So plump and so round.
‘til all of a sudden,
I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling,
Floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding,
And a handful of pie.
But I managed to yell
As I soared past the trees
Happy eating to all,
Pass the cranberries, please!!
May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the prize
And May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Now that you are all giggling, your dinner of whatever feast you indulged in may settle and digest better, MOL!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our precious furends!♥♥♥

Christmas Gleanings

December 3rd 2011 8:34 am
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Here is another really neat item meowmy helped us hunt out of the Christmas storage on the big web world treasure chest:

There are no mistakes when one puts God in the picture....

The "W" in Christmas

Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience. I had cut back on nonessential obligations - extensive card writing, endless baking, decorating, and even overspending. Yet still, I found myself exhausted, unable to appreciate the precious family moments, and of course, the true meaning of Christmas.

My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting season for a six year old. For weeks, he'd been memorizing songs for his school's "Winter Pageant." I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd be working the night of the production. Unwilling to miss his shining moment, I spoke with his teacher. She assured me there'd be a dress rehearsal the morning of the presentation. All parents unable to attend that evening were welcome to come then. Fortunately, Nicholas seemed happy with the compromise. So, the morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in ten minutes early, found a spot on the cafeteria floor and sat down. Around the room, I saw several other parents quietly scampering to their seats. As I waited, the students were led into the room. Each class, accompanied by their teacher, sat cross-legged on the floor. Then, each group, one by one, rose to perform their song. Because the public school system had long stopped referring to the holiday as "Christmas," I didn't expect anything other than fun, commercial entertainment songs of reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes and good cheer. So, when my son's class rose to sing, "Christmas Love," I was slightly taken aback by its bold title. Nicholas was aglow, as were all of his classmates, adorned in fuzzy mittens, red sweaters, and bright snow caps upon their heads. Those in the front row, center stage, held up large letters, one by one, to spell out the title of the song. As the class would sing "C is for Christmas," a child would hold up the letter C. Then, "H is for Happy," and on and on, until each child holding up his portion had presented the complete message, "Christmas Love." The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, we noticed her; a small, quiet, girl in the front row holding the letter "M" upside down - totally unaware her letter "M" appeared as a "W".

The audience of 1st through 6th graders snickered at this little one's mistake. But she had no idea they were laughing at her, so she stood tall, proudly holding her "W". Although many teachers tried to shush the children, the laughter continued until the last letter was raised, and we all saw it together.

A hush came over the audience and eyes began to widen. In that instant, we understood the reason we were there, why we celebrated the holiday in the first place, why even in the chaos, there was a purpose for our festivities.
For when the last letter was held high, the message read loud and clear:
"C H R I S T W A S L O V E"
And, I believe, He still is.
Amazed in His presence... .humbled by His love.
Again, HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS SEASON!

We hope you enjoyed this as much as we did!

A Santa Story - Wonderfur!!

December 12th 2011 9:04 am
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] Someone sent this to our meowmy and we thought it was really great so we wanted to share it with you:

A Santa Story

I remember my first Christmas adventure with Grandma. I was just a kid.
I remember tearing across town on my bike to visit her on the day my big sister dropped the bomb: "There is no Santa Claus," she jeered. "Even dummies know that!"

My Grandma was not the gushy kind, never had been. I fled to her that day because I knew she would be straight with me. I knew Grandma always told the truth, and I knew that the truth always went down a whole lot easier when swallowed with one of her "world-famous" cinnamon buns. I knew they were world-famous, because Grandma said so. It had to be true.

Grandma was home, and the buns were still warm. Between bites, I told her everything. She was ready for me. "No Santa Claus?" she snorted...."Ridiculous! Don't believe it. That rumor has been going around for years, and it makes me mad, plain mad!! Now, put on your coat, and let's go."

"Go? Go where, Grandma?" I asked. I hadn't even finished my
second world-famous cinnamon bun. "Where" turned out to be
Kerby's General Store, the one store in town that had a little bit of just about everything. As we walked through its doors, Grandma handed me ten dollars. That was a bundle in those days. "Take this money," she said, "and buy something for someone who needs it. I'll wait for you in the car." Then she turned and walked out of Kerby's.

I was only eight years old. I'd often gone shopping
with my mother, but never had I shopped for anything all by myself. The store seemed big and crowded, full of people scrambling to finish their Christmas shopping.

For a few moments I just stood there, confused, clutching that ten-dollar bill, wondering what to buy, and who on earth to buy it for.

I thought of everybody I knew: my family, my friends, my neighbors, the kids at school, the people who went to my church.

I was just about thought out, when I suddenly thought of Bobby
Decker. He was a kid with bad breath and messy hair, and he sat right behind me in Mrs. Pollock's grade-two class. Bobby Decker didn't have a coat. I knew that because he never went out to recess during the winter. His mother always wrote a note, telling the teacher that he had a cough, but all we kids knew that Bobby Decker didn't have a cough; he didn't have a good coat. I fingered the ten-dollar bill with growing excitement. I
would buy Bobby Decker a coat!

I settled on a red corduroy one that had a hood to it. It looked real warm, and he would like that.

"Is this a Christmas present for someone?" the lady behind the
counter asked kindly, as I laid my ten dollars down. "Yes, ma'am," I replied shyly. "It's for Bobby."

The nice lady smiled at me, as I told her about how Bobby really
needed a good winter coat. I didn't get any change, but she put the coat in a bag, smiled again, and wished me a Merry Christmas.

That evening, Grandma helped me wrap the coat (a little tag fell
out of the coat, and Grandma tucked it in her Bible) in Christmas paper and ribbons and wrote, "To Bobby, From Santa Claus" on it.

Grandma said that Santa always insisted on secrecy. Then she
drove me over to Bobby Decker's house, explaining as we went that I was now and forever officially, one of Santa's helpers.

Grandma parked down the street from Bobby's house, and she and I
crept noiselessly and hid in the bushes by his front walk. Then Grandma gave me a nudge. "All right, Santa Claus," she whispered, "get going."

I took a deep breath, dashed for his front door, threw the present down on his step, pounded his door and flew back to the safety of the bushes and Grandma.

Together we waited breathlessly in the darkness for the front door to open. Finally it did, and there stood Bobby.

Fifty years haven't dimmed the thrill of those moments spent
shivering, beside my Grandma, in Bobby Decker's bushes. That night, I realized that those awful rumors about Santa Claus were just what Grandma said they were -- ridiculous. Santa was alive and well, and we were on his team.

I still have the Bible, with the coat tag tucked inside: $19.95.

May you always have LOVE to share,
HEALTH to spare and FRIENDS that care...
And may you always believe in the magic of Santa Claus!

----

We hope this is helping to make your day brighter and that it puts a spring in your steps as you go about your preparations for Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

This kitty is named Hadley, and we would think that he could be the sweetest and most furgiving kitty on the earth!

Nothing Too Wise Today...

December 28th 2011 10:03 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] No words of wisdom, today, but many thanks fur all the Christmas cards that we received...in the mail, by cyber mail, and by Pmail!
We ♥ all of our furends so much!
Thanks too for the gifts and rosettes that are now decorating our page! And the comments sent to us with such love!
Many thanks to the Catsterland peeps who let us make use of the free mistletoe! We can still hear a lot of smooching going on...MOL!
Pipo had a birthday the other day, Minko has his today (we are in the Eastern time zone...)so it is already the 29th!

Well now we are both senior kitties according to the vet, but we do not feel old at all...au contraire!

And of course it is 3 years until we gain admittance to the Old Furts Club...MOL!

Purrs to all!
Happy Mew Year!
Happy 2012!
Happy New Year!

New Year - New Approach!

January 1st 2012 9:26 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] Our new year is starting off with a wildness that is not too wonderfur at all! SNOW! In the form of a winter storm! So we will be wielding the shovels, or at least the peeps will be, while we get to snoopervise in the comfort of our window seats, MOL!
We have a lot of wind, blowing things around including the snow. The police have asked peeps not to be driving unless it is furry necessary, since there is also ice under that snow. UGH!
Hopefurly the worst will be over when meowmy has to go to work tomorrow afternoon...and on Tuesday when our unfurbros have to back to university.

We want to wish all of our wonderfur furends a most happy and healthy New Year! Lots of fun, too...here in catsterland and in your dens.

That being said, meowmy is getting overwhelmed and overloaded!
We have hundreds of furends, here. And we love you all! Well we don't have the record on number of furends...otherwise she would be swamped!! MOL! As you know meowmy loves to make picture mementos for any furs that have need of recognition, such as Birthdays, Gotcha days and Diary or other important honors here in Catsterland.
Some of those pics take 30 minutes or more to compose and purrfect. She sometimes makes so many that there is no time for us to play here, let alone for her to do the things that we want her to do with us...nevermind the chores and such...she loves to do them and send them as 'gifts' but the fact is it is becoming like a burden, the first thing she does each day is look and count how many furs there are who are in our circle of furends and then begin to plan how to get them all done and sent out...

She thinks the approach to take would be to do say Cat of the Day/Week/Diary of the Day, when she knows that we know who those furs are.

Or if a fur has nevfur had a pic from us, and gets a DDP, then purrhaps they too might receive one. Since meowmy does these pics for dogs, too, that would make a max of 4 -6 a day...

Others would be gladly done, with love, if they were requested from us, by you our furends.

Meowmy says her full time job is not Catster but as a Nurses Assistant! MOL!

She does not want to hurt feelings, but this is really causing issues...

Let us know if this is OK with you furends!
We think that she will continue to be our avid typist in all of your pages, she loves you all too much to quit doing that! MOL!

Meanwhile we await your input and ideas.

Purrs and loads of love!

Enough!

January 28th 2012 8:19 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Here is a wee something meowmy found in her inbox a while ago. and saved for such a time as this...

Its called:
I Wish You Enough

I wish you Enough!
Recently I overheard a Father and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure.
Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the Father said, 'I love you, and I wish you enough.'
The daughter replied, 'Dad, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Dad.'
They kissed and the daughter left. The Father walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'
'Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'.
'I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral,' he said..
'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?'
He began to smile. 'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.' He paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and he smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.' Then turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory.
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how grey the day may appear.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
He then began to cry and walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.
Don't be in such a hurry that you have forgotten your friends.
Take Time To Live..
To all our friends and loved ones, We wish you ENOUGH!

We wish all our furends Enough!
Enough hugs to be tight and meaningful,
Enough purrs to be heard all over the world,
Enough love to heal all wounds of soul and spirit.

Purrs, Hugs and Love

Out Of Our Comfort Zone...

February 2nd 2012 9:11 am
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] Well, we are surely getting ourselves out of our comfort zone today...
We saw that the kitty BOOTZ
who is the Diary of the day, is a furry new kitty here, and she doesn't even have any furends that we can see...
She is a purrty kitty, and well, of course her blue eyes got us smitten...MOL!
Maybe you who read this can pay her a visit and say meow and purrs to her.
We made her a pic, too...we hope she finds it!

Meowmy is taking extra long to get anything done around here, let alone on Catster...MOL! Wearing a splint on her dominant hand is not ideal...but we love having her here with us!

Send some Purrs, too, if you have a moment to TeddyBearz and his furmily, as his meowmy is having some health issues.
Sheesh! So much trouble...one of meowmy's non-Catster furends scratched her cornea...OMC anything with eyes is so painful:(

Well enough of our mews fur now...

[ Leave A Comment | 13 people already have ] Whoo-hoo!
We have been named as co-honorees of the title FOTW, by DARCY
That was a surprise for sure!
It should be a lot of fun, and we have put the pics that Darcy made on our page.
Thanks Darcy!
Big purrs to you and your Mom!

[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] AAARRGGHHH!
No, we am not trying to be pirates...We are helping meowmy to vent her frustrations. HISSS!
She wanted to restart/reboot the computer today, but it will not cooperate at all...so now she is using a borrowed one...so she can only do typing tasks, like reading diaries, or making comments. But she can't make any pics or things like that because she cannot install the needed plugin to do those...well, that means one good thing, We will surely get more kitty time this way, MOL!

We had to hide from one of those worker dudes who come to the den and invaded it to do what they call work...but Pipo got a bit curious and was brave enough to show himself to that dude...who said he was handsome! Well...duh!
Minko stayed out of sight...until he left, then all of a sudden he showed up!

Meowmy is starting to get a wee bit of better movement and strength in her wrist, now that she is going to physio.

Well, we sure hope we won't miss out on making any important pics for our furends. Sorry if we do, though...

SO CLEVER!!

February 10th 2012 10:18 am
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] Meowmy had this sent to her today. Its so clever she wantd to share it with evfurryone! Too good to keep to herself and us, you know...Good things are just meant to be shared!

Haircut-Philosophy

February 24th 2012 7:03 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 13 people already have ] Here is a cute little tale of wisdom that we wanted to share with you! Truly something to think about during these days of way too expensive gasoline prices...

The Haircut

A teenage boy had just passed his driving test and inquired of his father as to when they could discuss his use of the car.

His father said he'd make a deal with his son, "You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, and get your hair cut. Then we'll talk about the car."
The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer,and they agreed on it.
After about six weeks his father said, "Son, you've brought your grades up and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm disappointed you haven't had your hair cut."
The boy said, "You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair, and there's even strong evidencethat Jesus had long hair."

(You're going to love the Dad's reply!)

"Did you also notice they all walked everywhere they went?"

Now I sure hope that meowmy doesn't decide that our furs need a haircut, MOL! Afterall we are Meezers, not sphynx kitties, MOL!

Computer Woes and Junk Like That...

March 21st 2012 8:06 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 14 people already have ] Kitties, we have gotten bad mews from pawppy. He took apart the big confuser and tried to fix it by replacing one of the components.( He is knowledgeable in these matters...)
Well it did not help our troubles at all. Shucks!
Now the question is how to retrieve all the pics on the broken one...meowmy has them all on CD's or SD cards, but there are a few that came over the cyber waves...She supposes she could ask the senders for replacements...and what a lot of work to re-upload all the SD cards...
Eventually pawppy will get us a new confuser, he will buy the needed components and build his own, from scratch as it were...but we have no idea when this will happen. At least we can stay in touch with this old lap-top. We can make pics on it at the imikimi site, but it keeps freezing up, or the plug in dies...and we can't get the plug in to work on this old confuser in Firefox or Chrome...so we have to use IE...which browser also goes unresponsive a lot:(
So we will try to make pics for really important stuff/events like Cat of the Day and so on...or by spawsial request, only to reduce the stress level of having to reboot this machine over and over again and wait and wait...

And meowmy has a load of unwanted stress on her back right now from her work, which she is not allowed to talk about at this point either...just keep her in your pawyers and thoughts.

This overly warm weather takes a toll, too...meowmy does much better in the low 70's not 86F! At least the humidity is not bad right now!
We did not get any spring, we have full summer! Wow!

We had to watch and be scared of the water softener dude a while ago, but it seems like he may need to invade our space again, as our unit is not working properly, and we are having 'bad' water, you can smell the iron, and some of pawppy's shirts have been ruined by rust...UGH! At least our drinking water is not from those taps! It is spawsially filtered, and delicious!

Well, that's all folks!

Swamped By The Purrtiest Load Evfur!

April 6th 2012 10:39 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] Meowmy went to work this afternoon. When she returned she checked her inbox for email as she does evfurry night...and she thought her email had been swamped by a spam storm!
But...oh happy day!
Not spam but a shower of purrty eggs, all over the pages of our whole kitty and pup furmily!
Thanks so much Catster, and Dogster for this lovely thing you have let us do fur all of our precious furends.
Since there are over 500 of them, we will thank our furends here with our loaded baskets close by!
We LOVE all of you, and we so love Catster!

A Heads Up...Or Is It Tails?!

April 21st 2012 8:21 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 14 people already have ] Just a brief entry to Catsterland at large. In May, meowmy will be going out of town, to do some furmily visits. There may be a computer there, but using that would greatly curtail the time she wants to spend with her sister and a cousin from Europe...so we will just go cold turkey as it were and stay offline for several days...OMC, Meowmy feels withdrawal already, MOL!
So...we know we will be missing out on important dates and honors...if you wish to have a pic made let us know now, and meowmy will try to get them done before she leaves...She will do Birthday and Gotcha days if you would like that, (ahead of time), but of course honors like COTD and DDP's will have to go by the wayside...sigh...
During our offline time, the titles of our pages (Pipo, Minko, WBS & MJF), will reflect that so you will know that we are 'AWOL'! MOL!

We love all our pals!
Hugs!
Headbonks!
Purrs!

Announcement & Plans

May 6th 2012 9:05 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 19 people already have ] Well, kitties, the time has come to let it be known that we will be going offline later this week, for several days, so that meowmy can go on a mini vacation.
We know that we likely will miss occasions but if meowmy doesn't take this time off to go and visit some of her out of town furmily she will feel furry sad...much sadder than not making a pic or saying concats...which we can come by later to say on your pages, you know, better late than nevfur!

When we go away, our pages will have 'offline' added to the titles.
We may be able to 'sneek a peek' but not much else...

If you are not aware of this already, River and Simone are having a game right now, and you can win prizes, too!
Here is a link to the diary entry that has the link to the game:
River's Guess The Kitty Names Game

With a good dose of having evfurrything work out, Pawppy thinks that purrhaps in a few months we will be able to have a new confuser here. That would be so nice...to not need to use this old/slow dinosaur anymore...MOL! But hey, we surely were glad we did have it!

Well, meowmy needs to get herself to her nest...she is still fighting off a cold, and she has to go to work tomorrow.
Toodleoo!!

Purrs to all!

She wrote a diary to make his needs known, and asked us other catster kitties to help get the word out...here is a link to her diary so you can find out how you may be able to help...
Samoa's Diary to help Harrison

We hope all you kitties out there are having a nice evening!
Tomorrow we will have to put the offline reminder on our pages for about a week, we think...

The Time Has Come

May 20th 2012 10:50 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] The time has come for us to be back!
But we can't make all the pics for all of our furry furends...the kimi site got changed and now we can hardly use it at all! HISS!
Meowmy said that we are not the only ones feeling the fleas there, she read many comments that were venting the frustrations of the writers...sound familiar??MOL!
So we will just play on your pages and send our comments...
That's the best part of Catster anyways!

Happy Victoria Day to all of our Canadian furends!
And furry soon it will be Memorial Day, too!

Happy Mews And OMC Mews!!

May 22nd 2012 8:20 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 12 people already have ] Today meowmy made her six month appointment to the oncologist.
Once again there is major cause for rejoicing in this kitty den! Meowmy was given a 'clean bill of health' and was told to come back in another 6 months, after which if things keep on as they have, she will go to yearly visits!
Praise the Lord! Such blessings He has bestowed upon her!

And then just as we were about to shut things down and let meowmy go to her nest, (MOL), River and Simone added their entry about the winner of the Guess the Kitty game...and Simone that purrty Meezer kitty picked our names! River was snoopervising and read it to us on that video, so though we were stunned, we had to take his mews fur it!
After we picked ourselves up from the THUD we did, we wrote them a thanks comment...and now we are here mewing and purring again.]
Hmmm...now we shall be pestering meowmy till she picks out a prize...they have such wonderfur catnip in their things...we can almost smell it already! MOL!

Thanks River, Thanks Simone...and thanks to your Mommy fur that fun game!

Sneaky Late Night Peeking...OMC!!

May 28th 2012 12:41 am
[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] Meowmy couldn't sleep. So after she got out of bed and puttered a bit, she decided it would be fun to sneak a peek to see who were the spawsial kitties today...and lo and behold...we were among them! A DDP!
Thanks HQ!
Thanks Catster!

Now we wonder how long meowmy will take to get back to sleep!?! MOL!

Happy Memorial Day to all of you, too!

Thanks to all those who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we here could be in this freedom we have. Lets never take it fur granted.

Enjoy this holiday; we know that we will, fur sure, because meowmy doesn't have to go to work, today. Hooray!

OMC!
We were DDP yesterday, that was a lot of fun!
Now we are DDP again! Whoo-hoo!
Maybe its because there are two of us, so we need two DDP's?! MOL!So while its a lot of fun, we have double dipped the purrs factor, and the Diary Gal apurrently!
Well, anyways, thanks again, Catster!

We hope you all had a nice Memorial Day, yesterday.
Soon it will be flag Day, father's Day, Pawppy's birthday, too! Then we get the July catabratory days...always things to have fun with, life gives no chance to be bored!

Have a great week, a great summer and stay well and safe!
We are still purraying fur rain, here...way too dry. There is rain around, but it seems to bypass our area:(

Bagged Out:(

June 2nd 2012 4:19 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Meowmy left for work yesterday...but wonder of wonders she came home again in a couple of hours...and ignored us and crashed herself on the recliner.So we did the attention paying...by climbing on her and keeping her stuck in that recliner.
She didn't even eat supper:(

She had the 'Mother of all headaches'. UGH!
Unable to function at all.
Today the headache persisted so she went to the urgent care...got some medicine, and now feels a wee bit better. Hopefurly she can go back to work tomorrow...
Sorry she didn't make pics, the ones she did send out were already premade!
That was a good thing.
She made a new diary for Groucho, A Grouchy Tail,but that was basically a C/P from the note pad where she had been working on it over several days.

Soon, she hopes to be back to normal, meanwhile purrs and pawyers for this stinking nasty headache to go away wuld be greatly appawsiated.

Update On Our Sick Meowmy

June 5th 2012 8:38 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 18 people already have ] Yup, not better at all, purrhaps even a bit worse.
Today she had a temp of 101.5, which makes the headache even worse...or maybe causes it?
Her BP is high, too, unusual fur her...and her heart is chugging along at 100 - 120, WOW! Something fur sure is not right, and tomorrow she sees her doc, to help solve/cure this trouble.
She went to work, using the meds from the urgent care, and some tylenol, but sheesh, slower than a turtle is how she was, not good when the place is short-staffed...UGH!

So sorry we have likely missed making comments and all the pics, which now is even worse to do, because with a fuzzy achy head it is hard to deal with a deadbeat confuser...

Well, enough, bed is where she is headed!

Meowmy's Mystery Solved...

June 13th 2012 9:14 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] Remember when we told you that the fever headache monster was paying too much attention to meowmy? Well she feels a lot better now...and all those tests came back, fine...except for one that the MD decided t do 'just in case'...well BINGO! It was the one, MOL! Well, not really MOL, but at least now we know what the issue really was.
Apparently some virus called EeeBeeVee was lurking in her, and she had to lie low and make it feel unwelcome...so now after about 10 days of resting up...sort of...she is ready to go back to her work. They know why she wasn't there fur a while, so she hopes they treat her with some nice residents for the furst few days...um...fat chance of that! When you go there to work, believe us, she comes home pooped and sometimes bummed! But she does like her work, and the bright rays she sees there make it all worth it.

Just like here; we love all our furends, and enjoy seeing pics, and reading diaries. We try to hide the junky junk in our litter box, and just focus on what is fun, beautifur and becoming to kitties of all kinds, that is why we like Catster so much, we get to know so many.

Well, today was pawppy's birthday, so we watched while meowmy made a cake, and put out some decorations, sadly all out of reach...we would have loved to paw at the ribbons, and sample that cake!

And by the way...don't furget to hang out your flags if you have them, it is Flag Day tomorrow!

Purrs to all!

PS: Meowmy got a letter from Watchcat, he said they were checking into the problem with not getting the email notifications about others commenting on things we had put ours on...but of course we are still having this big flea, or maybe its another kind of EeeBeeVee...MOL!

EEUUWWW!!!

June 23rd 2012 8:55 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] Meowmy is back at work, and seems to be fine, no more fevers and headaches.
But now we heard her say that she has 12 days off...and we know she doesn't mean the 12 days of Christmas, MOL! She said something about va-cat-ion...but we also hope that she doesn't bring any more kitty-cats in here...

We still are in solitary confinement though, still not getting notifi-cat-ions about comments...HISSS!

On July furst, Canada will be 145 years old! That is sure old, but not nearly as old as the USA..who catabrates their birthday on July Fourth.
So we will have to make sure meowmy & Pawppy hang out the correct flags on those days.

The peeps here have tickets to see the annual air show, that means a lot of noisy stuff going on overhead, its a good thing us kitties do not have to go along...

Today, meowmy was grossed out when she tried to get out an old patio umbrella.
It was well chewed up and full of stuff that looked like a rodent nest..UGH!
Meowmy yelled Yuck and Eeuuew! But she was brave and put on some leather work gloves and cleaned it all up...which means she threw it away...and no, no-one was living in there, or at least they were out doing errands when their nest was demolished!
Now if we were outside kitties and allowed in the garden shed...that would not have happened...Well, therefore the eeuuwww serves her right! MOL!

Aww, Thanks, Kind Sir!

June 24th 2012 7:40 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] Yes! There still are kind peeps in our world...meowmy met one the last time she went to the grocery store.
There was a rough looking dude ahead of her. He bought a few items fur himself, and then meowmy saw him buy some cans of Fancy Feast...WOW!...and two huge bags of some not of the best kind of kitty kibbles.
Hmmm...meowmy was wondering about that!
The cashier started to talk to him about her own kitty, and then she asked him how many cats he had, because she too must have been wondering why he needed to purchase such a large amount of kibble.
He said he didn't know how many he actually had!! OMC!
Meowmy thought maybe he might be a hoarder, but then he said he lived rurally and had these kitties in his barn. He said they all come to him to eat, but they won't allow him to pet them, so they are a colony of semi feral kitties. He feeds them, they thrive and he said they keep his barn free of varmints as their way of saying thanks. Awww!

And he told the cashier that the FF was for a kitty gal that was over twenty years old, the only tame one, but nevfur had come into his home. He must really love her! Awww, again!

So while this dude looked rough, he sure had a kind heart. Meowmy didn't get a chance to speak to him about our local TNR program, we think it is a local branch of Alley Cat Angels.
Maybe she needs to keep some cards with their info, in her bag just for times such as this...
And 'nevfur judge a book by its cover', sure was a true saying in this case!

Balloons, Jets, and DDP!

June 29th 2012 2:24 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 12 people already have ] Balloons, Jets, and DDP!
And some other junk, too...MOL!
Meowmy thought she was going to be working yesterday and today on the 3 - 11 shift as is usual fur her, but she was able to take some vacation time! Hooray!
Right now in our town we are having the annual 'Field of Flight', a hot air balloon competition, and also an air show. The whole furmily has tickets fur all four days of this event. So while that is great fur the furmily, it means we have to be almost as patient to be on here as when meowmy is working...sigh...
Well, this morning when meowmy checked her email, there was nothing to indicate that we were DDP...but meowmy saw it when she checked into Catster! Yippee!
Then she saw that there were many other furs with 'occasions' to be commemorated, so she spent a lot of time with that before letting us get ready to play here with our furends...oh well, better late than nevfur!
We didn't see any balloons yet, they have been flying yesterday morning and this morning, too, but not here...some years they are right over us, and even land in the field across the street from our den!
We did hear the noisiest jets evfur! The Thunderbirds are here to purrform fur us Saturday and Sunday. We heard them come in, and we heard them practicing today. While we do not share the same opinion, meowmy thinks they are pawsome...we might too, if they were less noisy, MOL!

Yesterday evening, meowmy spent some time over at the airfield...the furry furst thing she did was trip over a wire and kaboom, she was flat on her face in the dry crunchy grass. OUCH! Well, all she got was a bruised knee and a worse bruise to her pride, MOL! She did go to some peeps to ask them to move that wire so that worse accidents wouldn't be happening.
After all that, the balloon launch was cancelled due to high winds...sigh...
Tonight there may be fireworks if the weather holds out. It was threatening for some desperately needed rain, but it went south of here...and who knows if the scheduled balloon launch will go as planned? We hope so, all those colorful balloons are so purrty to see as theu go up and fly.
MOL, our dog-guy HATES them! He will bark long befur anyone knows they are near, he hears the furnaces they use to blow the hot air into the balloons...

Well, we hope you all will have a great weekend, A Happy Canada Day if you live in Canada...or are 'ex-patriot' like our meowmy...and Happy Fourth of July to all US furmilies wherevfur you may be!

Thanks so furry much to all of you that have sent messages, comments and prezzies! We love you all!

Over Hill And Dale! We Saw Big Swimming Cats!!

July 11th 2012 8:50 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] Over the Hill, and through the woods we went, we crossed a creek, and mewed all the way, to V-E-T pawlace we go...MOL!
When we got there we had to wait a bit...and that is when we saw them!
Huge they were!
Huge swimming cats!
OMC!
Undulating through the water and peering at us, like we were going to be their next meal...oh-oh!
Too scary for us, so we just went to the furry back of the carriers we were in...at least the doors were shut.
They also had these really long whiskers...and they were bigger than us! OMC!!
Scary Thing We Saw At The V-E-T...
OK now you have seen them too...and there were several of them in that huge tank...freshwater catfish, we think we will not be going swimming ourselves in any local rivers, shudder!
Maybe tonight we will have dreams of catfish ...
Here, Kitty, Kitty!

Maybe next time we have a camp-out we can tell this story to the young-uns...MOL!
Sleep well!

Hooray!! Yipee!

[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] OMC!!

Furstly we have had some RAIN! Yeah!
Not nearly enough, but its a start...
Thank you Lord for taking care of your creation.

And Happy Day!
We are getting notifications again, on diaries and photos.
The silent treatment is over...what a relief!

We have noticed a few other fleas, but since we are patient...mostly, MOL!...we are willing to put up and scratch our way through them...

It sure was great to hear from other kitties again, and what fun to see a full inbox!

Thanks, HQ fur all the work you have been doing to get this fixed.

Athleticat Boxing

July 17th 2012 5:51 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] Yes we can be athleticat-ic...we run, usually as in 100 yard dashes, we score touchdowns with our mousie toys, we jump up and over like those pole jumpers do, we are great at going through tunnels, like those behind our couch, we race each other to be the furst in line fur noms, or to greet the peeps when they come back from wherevfur, and of course we have to race to stay out of dog-guy's reach, sometimes.
We can roll around like furballs, or stretch out like rubber bands...is that athleticat-ic??
Minko is great at doing pop-ups, he can jump furry high with no running start...best seen when he gets a spook from something real or imagined...
Pipo has the fastest smacky paw meowmy has evfur seen, most used on dog-guy's ears or snooter...so he would be good at boxing.
Today we had our own triathlon of sorts.
We were seen stalking each other...then we rushed up and down the length of the den, and back again, we raced up & down the stairs, we jumped onto the book shelves, and then Minko chased Pipo into the box tunnel where there is a food bowl, safe from the gobbling jaws of dog-guy...
Then we started a boxing/wrestling match...meowmy found tufts of fur on the carpet later, but she doesn't know from whence it came...but since it was in clumps she knew that the play/athleticat-ic session had ended in a big and fur real fight:(
So now Minko is lounging near pawppy, and Pipo is watching the baseball game...yeah, more athleticat stuff!
And it is Tigers, Roar! Go Tigers!

Meowmy hopes she will be able to see some real athletics when those Olympics start soon. Do they have those fur kitties? We think most kitties would do well!

AWWW!

July 24th 2012 5:22 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] Awww! That's what meowmy said today...
She was at the grocery store, and a lady was buying some things...for a cat, plus a large, soft carrier.
Meowmy asked the lady what kind of fur was going to be using these items,and the lady said a kitten.
It turns out she found a lone abandoned kitten in her garage, no mother kitty nor siblings either, and said kitten was furry tiny. She rescued it and brought it to her vet, as she already had some other cats...her vet told her the kitten was too young to get any shots, deemed it healthy enough, but advised isolation from the others for the time being...you know the routine...a cat finds a purrson, gets put in the bathroom, or the laundry room and eventually the other furs get a sibling, MOL!
Anyways the vet thought that the kitten, a female, was only about 3 weeks old(!).

The lady said she had a pic of the kitten and she took out her smart phone and showed meowmy...awww! A white and tabby kitten, not unlike this one:
KITTEN
But way, way teenier!

Thank you kind lady fur adopting this wee one, into your furmily!

A Tisket - A Tasket - Two Cats In The Basket!!

July 25th 2012 10:52 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 11 people already have ] Happy Anniversary!!

That's right furs and peeps! Meowmy and Pawppy just celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary! This one is Silver. Bright, Shimmery Silver!
Hmmm...do they need one of those medals that peeps get fur winning at the olympics?? Um...we guess not...

Well, we got to be together in furbidden territory today...that basket you see in the pics, its from their wedding, it was used to pass out the treats to all of the guests.
So we were happy to try it out, and we had lots of room in there, even with 2 of us, MOL!
Meowmy so wanted to get all 3 of us furs, fur a furmily furtrait, but Pipo was not cooperating with that idea...Minko didn't mind one bit!
Oh well, two out of three isn't bad, MOL!

And while not furry funny or anything like that, given the drought we are having, we had about 10 drips of rain this morning. Just like on the pawrents' wedding day...it was the hottest day of the year it seemed, and oh so humid, just like today...great fur remembering!
Only today the restaurant they went to, to celebrate was air conditioned...the one 25 years ago was supposed to have been, but that was the day it decided to break down...it was too hot to deal with it, UGH! Murphy's law likes to be around where meowmy is, MOL!
Well, nevfur mind that, Murphy's law did not do anything to Meowmy & Pawppy's marriage...it is going strong, through thick and thin and furevfurmore! Till the next 25 years and longer, God willing.

WeBeesSwamped!! Freezers Fur Da Meezers!

August 1st 2012 3:56 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 9 people already have ] Yup, the Meezers are swamped...overloaded and overjoyed at all those huge cakes on our page. We shall have to send meowmy out to get a freezer; maybe more than one...
Mol: Freezers Fur Da Meezers! MOL!

Thanks to all of our loving and purry-furry pals who are spreading the love around, as well as the cake. We are having our cake and eating it too, MOL!

No one should be on a diet tonight, it is too tempting!

In Dogsterland it is The Furst Of Dog-ust, so they are sharing their fun with us, isn't that sweet! We think so, and we are now off to start gobbling our way through all the yumminess on our page.
Nom-nom-nom...(Burp)...nom-nom-nom...does anyfur have any nipitinis or catweiser to wash these down?? MOL!

Thanks HQ for opening the pantry wide! We need to have a pawrty!
ENJOY!

Olympicatrobatics! Sticking The Landing!

August 8th 2012 11:12 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Today we were chasing each other all over the den, and we were furry much into some heavy duty super-sonic zoomies!

Dog-guy was nearby, but in the spectator section.

In our den we have two couches back to back, sort of like a room divider.If you look in our pics you can see them, where we are ladder climbing...
Anyfurs, we decided to take our zooming path around that fur-niture...suddenly Pipo jumped over Minko, followed by Minko careening over Pipo! It was like synchronized back flips!
Now dog-guy was becoming a cheer-leader...he was getting evfur so interested in what we were doing.
Then we disappeared into the tunnel those two couches make...and out we popped at the other end, but we were now on the coffee table where our lamp stands. Pipo was in such a hurry, he didn't pay any attention of where his path was going, and he did a long-jump right on top of dog-guy! OOPS!!
Is that how you stick your landing?? Well he hissed and swatted and took off, all in a fluffy huff, and poor dog-guy didn't even have time to react, let alone do more than look at meowmy with bewilderment, as if to say what did I do to deserve that!?
Minko was able to come to a screeching halt, he stuck his own landing on the table beside the lamp...with his whole self looking rather larger than normal, he had become a bottle-brush with fright at all this catrobatic hoopla!
Meowmy now knows how it is that sometimes things are made to crash to the floor...and how spectators can get caught in the fracas of The Kitty Games!

The Big Cats WON!!

August 23rd 2012 12:18 am
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Today (the 22nd), we were rudely awakened by a noisy, frenzied dog-guy!
It was still early,and the peeps were still all in their nests, and the doors were locked, which means that dog-guy couldn't go through his doggy doors...so he barked and barked and growled and made way too much noise...he needs to be taught not to disturb the peace of us kitties.
Since he would not stop with the noise, he also woke the peeps up, and they finally let him go outside, where he continued to bark his head off, but somehow when he returned indoors his head was back on, MOL!

The reason he was such a nuisance was hot air balloons!
A huge one was hovering right above the ground in the field across from or den, and it was getting ready to land. It made its own noise.And we didn't care fur that either, maybe dog-guy was trying to rid us of that thing...

There was another one flying over our den, it was from the U of M. it had a huge blue 'M' on it..'GO BLUE'!

Well eventually all was quiet, and dog-guy came inside to sleep, he was tired from all that early AM activity, MOL!

Then after a while meowmy baked a cake, and decorated it...to give to unfurbro, who had his birthday, on the 22nd. Two decades already!

Well, they indulged themselves, and then all was furry quiet...we had the sunpuddles to ourselves, and dog-guy was in the bsack porch, with his open doggy door, so he could come and go at will, and open windows to enjoy the fresh air, and he was also on guard duty...for almost 12 hours. Woiw!

The unfurmilt went to Ann Arbor, and met up with the other unfurbro. They soon left there and went to have a late lunch, and from there they went to the Motor City...aka Detroit.
There was a contest there between some big orange cats with black stripes, and some large noisy blue and white burds.
This contest was being watched by some 37,000 spectators who meowmy said made a lot more noise than those two teams of contestants combined. We think we are glad we stayed home...though it might have been a lot of fun to see some big cats stalking burds...
Meowmy told us that the big cats won this contest against the burds...yeah!

Tigers 3 - Blue Jays 2

Meowmy felt a bit strange rooting for cats, over helpless burds...MOL...since those burds came from Toronto, and she is a Canadian...sigh...but she felt it was necessary to support her furmily who consider themselves true fans of those big orange Tigers!

Well, they came home at 130 AM!! So furry late!

Sorry is we didn't get to snag her to do our catretarial duties fur Catsterland kitty-furends, but we hope that if you need one in the future, she will be there fur us to mew at to do her slave duties!!

Now we need to go and catch up on our beauty snoozes..or are they handsome naps??

Mr Arthur Ritus Is Making Us Absent

September 22nd 2012 8:18 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] Mr Arthur Ritus...He is causing us to have to be in absentia fur a while, starting a few days hence:(
That nasty dude pinched our pawppy so hard that he can hardly walk. The human medicine man said he has to have a total hip replacement, as the only sure way to help.
Well that also means that meowmy cannot let us be here in 'full mode' for a while. She has to be his taxi, rehab coach and general helper.
She will try to be here to give you updates and progress notes, but we will NOT have time to make pic/mementos fur our furends. Some of those take an hour or more to make. Meowmy loves to do them, but there just will not be any time...we want pawppy to get better, we know you will understand, because you are all such furtastic furends.

We will have a new name/title to let you know when we are going into 'mini-mode'. Something like WBS-On Temp.Leave, or WBS-No Pics Fur Now...

Our den is getting to be looking intriguing fur curious kitties right now...and we can't wait until pawppy will be sleeping downstairs fur a while...but we sure hope he doesn't poke us with that cane thing we saw, MOL!

Please purray fur Pawppy, that things will go well fur him.

Well, we had a lot of rainy times today, it was nice so snuggle...on the laps of pawppy and meowmy.

We are not sure if we let our furends know that we got our new kitty bed from River's Contest. The one where we had to guess all the names. Well it came a while back,and we told River how much we loved it, etc, but we can't post any of the pics we have...yet. We are still on this old borrowed confuser...it does work, but can't hold many things in its memory, because it is too small there, It must be like amnesia, MOL! Eventually we will be able to do all these things when meowmy gets a newer confuser...um...then we may have to lie low until she gets that all figured out, MOL! Technology is not one of her strong points. Hah!

'Shutting Down'

September 28th 2012 10:09 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 12 people already have ] Well furends, meowmy was hoping to spend the whole weekend with pappy, but she got asked to work Saturday evening. That leaves a lot less time to do all the things she still wanted to do befur pawppy's surgery, so we are going to close the 'picture shop' starting Sept 29th. Not sure when we have it open again.
There may be an odd picture made, if meowmy can get some time, but we are not going to commit or promise.
We will let you know here in this diary about what progress is being made with our pawppy...
Please purr fur him, he has his op on Monday morning, early.

We will update later.

[ Leave A Comment | 1 person already has ] Kitties, a furry short update to the entry we made this morning.
Thanks for all the purrs and pawyers and gifts and messages.

Pawppy had his surgery and at the moment is resting...soon the nurses are going to try to get him up, OMC!

Meowmy is going back there, now. She will update here when she gets back.

Update # 2

October 1st 2012 7:21 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Here is some news about Pawppy's surgery today.

They had a bit of a wait at the hosp. this am, but then he was taken back, about 15min later than first thought. He was in the OR about 90 minutes, then the surgeon came out to talk to meowmy, he also showed meowmy a picture of the old joint. There was NO cartilage left on it at all.
He said that he thought this was caused by a shallow joint 'cup' a congenital malformation.
Pawppy then told everyone in the room that he had been having a soreness there most of his life...go figure.
Maybe he thought this was just how he was until recently when it got to be unbearable, and likely worsened by that fall he had 4 years ago.

He had a lot of severe pain right after the op, but once that got under control he did much better.

He had a good liquid lunch...YUCK!

Then he had some rest until before supper.

Well, when the nurses let him sit on the side of the bed, he felt very faint, so it didn't last long...
But he was eating a solid real food dinner, and looking 100% better at 9pm than earlier this afternoon.
So that is progress...and he isn't using morphine anymore, just a more ordinary analgesic.

Tomorrow the PT & OT peeps will assess him and design a 'plan'.

Well, thanks for your thoughts and prayers and our tired meowmy is going off to bed!
Tomorrow will be another busy day!

Update #3 Twentyfour Hours Post-Op

October 2nd 2012 2:33 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Well, today is 24 hours post-op and counting.
The PT peeps came in early this morning and tried to get Pawppy up...well he sat up, that went OK, he stood up, about 30 seconds and his BP dropped under the floor; he went back in the bed.
'Phew!
Good thing those were strong men, and they had a transfer belt around him.
So, then a few hours later they were back. More of the same, and this time pawppy took about 5 - 6 steps with the walker into a chair.
Progress!
He went in that recliner chair to an exercise class with others who also had joint replacements yesterday. Meowmy was there to learn what she has to do.

Later back in his room pawppy said he felt like he had just finished a full day's hard labor. He couldn't believe that yesterday he walked into the hospital unaided and now he can hardly even move his legs let alone walk...OMD The road is stretching out long befur him...uphill all the way. Good thing he is motivated.
Meowmy giggled a bit, and called him a wee weak kitten, she couldn't help it, but pawppy did have to agree, MOL!
Meowmy is trying to find out if there is anyone who can come to our den to see what still needs to be 'fixed' so he can come home...otherwise he may need to be at the rehab hospital for a week or so, till he is more mobile.

Meowmy moved a lot of fur-niture...and found half a ton of furry kittens under that stuff, MOL! Now we are having a ton of fun rediscovering the new layout! Once we came out of hiding from that naughty fur stealing machine...

MAYL!

PS:
Thanks for all the gifts, and comments and support.
Those balloons were a fun thing! Our page is going to float away, MOL!!

Productive Day - Update Fur October Third

October 3rd 2012 8:33 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] Here is the update on Pawppy for today:

Meowmy has been spending long hours at the hospital with Pawppy.
Today he was so much better already.
Making treks with the walker to the hallway, to the chair and to the potty...the place where he, Meowmy and the nurses all rejoiced in his production...MOL! (Those were his own words, we are not kidding!!)

Well, he agreed to go to the rehab hospital for a week or so to be more independently mobile and stronger. So tomorrow the plan is to be 're-homed' there.
Meowmy was glad with this, because she felt so scared to have him home so early, needing all that help. No one else here to help, it is daunting...he will have about 3 hours of therapy each day, and then upon discharge from there he will go to out patient PT 2 - 3 times a week for several weeks.
Meowmy will of course be his chauffeur or is it chaufesse?
She sure will be looking forward to the emergence of an 'new' Pawppy...thank the Lord that his level of pain is not that bad by now, and that he even told peeps that he can tell that the damaged hip is not there anymore to cause that kind of discomfort.

Patience will be learned by this, and more of the same for Meowmy!

We have noticed that that camera box is a lot less visible lately...so we don't think any new pics will be forthcoming...that does not make us sad at all, MOL!!

Well, Meowmy has to get ready fur another busy day tomorrow...nighty-night!

'Rehomed'

October 4th 2012 8:39 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] Pawppy has a new home...temporarily, BOL!

He was discharged from the hospital and transferred to the rehab hospital for a few days.

He is getting stronger evfurry day...and more bored, too.

We can't wait for him to come home.

When Meowmy gets home we can smell pawppy on the laundry she brings in, but then we wonder where the man is that usually is inside those clothes...sigh...we shall go into zooming mode when he comes back! Oh, and we will be able to join him in his bed...hooray!

Hard Work

October 5th 2012 8:06 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 12 people already have ] Pawppy is doing a lot of hard work...he walked up and down the corridors, did a lot of different exercises, and even got to work at using some stairs.

He might come home even before the scheduled Oct 10th date!
Yeah, Pawppy! Go, Pawppy!

Go Tigers, too!

Those red birds won a spot, and now we want to watch & see if the orange birds might have a chance...those baseball games are hard work, too! Its a tie right now...ooh, tense! Suspense!

Steps, Strides and Smiles!

October 6th 2012 3:09 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Yes, and grimaces too, like when the PT gal challenged pawppy to do some things he could do, but OMC, it was hard...
Pawppy did a lot of walking using a quad cane, graduating from constant use of the walker. He walked all the way around the whole building with that device. Then he grinned and said it would be great to use as a weapon(!) when we try to get under his feet...what?!!
He got into the bathtub, not to have a wash, but to try & see how that would go when he gets home.
He practiced some more stairs and did some strange exercises on a squishy sponge...to work on balance he was told...and to make some other muscles and tendons get stronger, too.

He had a big grin on his face when the PT said how awesome he was! We, of course, agree!
Then he got to finally sit down and get time to himself...to watch the football game: Go Blue!!

Pawppy Is Home - Meowmy Is Sick

October 9th 2012 11:00 am
[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] Pawppy is HOME!
He came home yesterday afternoon.
Doing so well, that they said he could even use the stairs to go to bed! Wow! And of course he did. But Meowmy told him that he needed to choose his clothes before going to bed, so she could take them downstairs with herself, so he would only need to negotiate those steps once a day...

Us furs swarmed him! Meowmy made sure he was sitting down before she let us get near him...
We gave him some of my patented kitty rubs and kneads, right on his lap! OMC, We were SO excited!
Later when pawppy was resting on the pull out couch, we kept him there, by lying on him, all spread out, we purred and kneaded and then we even got to hear him snore..MOL!
Today he won't let us on his lap, he said he needed to do some catching up on his own laptop...
So that chapter of hospital junk is now closed.

He starts outpatient therapy on the 11th.

Now we have another problem...all this stress has wreaked havoc on Meowmy's body, and the EB Monster she had in June, has returned with a vengeance, UGH!
Her head feels so awful, She can hardly function. Her teeth chatter every evening, that seems to be the time when her temp elevates. She can smash down the headache by alternating motrin and tylenol, but how long can a peep do that?
She tried to get into the doctor today, but they can't see her till tomorrow, since she thinks she knows what her trouble is, she doesn't think she needs to go to an urgent care, just to get a note to get off of work this weekend...won't they love her!? Its almost funny, except her head says, 'no it isn't'...

We hope you had an enjoyable time with the Thanksgiving gatherings, if you are Canadian furs.

Well, my catretary needs to rest her weary head again...and stew about all the chores not getting done, MOL!

Pawppy says hello! (He is almost not using his pain meds, wow!)

When meowmy feels better, maybe she can start making more comments, but as fur pictures, she still won't have a lot of time, because Pawppy is not allowed to drive and she has to be his taxi, etc...

We are glad that we can snoopervise all his progress fur ourselves now!

Cabin Fever!

[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] It was a grey, dreary, cold, windy drizzly day, here, today...just the right combination for feeling yucky and getting cabin fever!

Meowmy went to her MD today...sure enough, the EB Monster bit her again...sigh...so she got to tell the work place that she had a note for yet another week off, of course they were not too happy about that, but She didn't think they wanted her to be there as ill as she is...so we too will have her to snuggle with! Yeah!

Pawppy said he needed to go and try going into a restaurant...but we really think he wanted some time out of the house, he seems to be suffering from real cabin fever! MOL!
So we watched him get ready,and Minko tried to help by playing with the cane handle's loop...and Pipo was trying to put furs on the pants he wanted to wear.

Well soon enough they were gone!
And meowmy said they got to use the placard with a wheelchair on it, though pawppy doesn't even have one of those! Meowmy calls that placard the privileged parking ticket! MOL!

Eventually they came back, and we of course were ready to claim his lap back as ours...

Meowmy feels not too bad, if she keeps loaded up on the meds to control the fever...she alternates acetaminophen with ibuprofen...she also has special headache meds but they make her feel furry strange...

The Sun Was Out & The Headache Stayed In The Closet

October 11th 2012 10:44 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] Meowmy took Pawppy to PT, today. Other than he is stiff, he seems to be doing furry well.Usually PT starts at 3 times a week, but they thought he would do fine with twice...that makes it easier fur meowmy to 'regulate'!

It was a bright sunny day, not too warm, and still furry windy, but much nicer with no rain.

Meowmy took her medicine early in the morning, and then realized that she hadn't needed it until the afternoon...progress!
She feels rather washed out, and fuzz-headed as she puts it, but the major headache hasn't come out of the closet today at all...yeah!

Those orange burds known as Orioles won their game tonight, so purrhaps the Tigers may be playing against them later, since they won their series tonight! Hooray! Go Tigers! Go Detroit Tigers!

We had fun keeping meowmy down on the bed during that game...at least she felt good enough to enjoy it!
Then we also had fun zooming over her, she was a bump we could jump over...or whjen that was done, Minko made bread on her, and Pipo just lay down close by...

They All Said Wow!!

October 14th 2012 5:00 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 9 people already have ] Yup, they sure did, and they also all said Praise the Lord!
Meowmy said we had to do guard duty this morning, and she helped pawppy get into the van, and off they went to church!
Pawppy walked into the sanctuary with his cane, and evfurryone turned to look...and smile at him & meowmy...
After the service he was 'mobbed'...meowmy giggled and said peeps you better not get too close, cause he has a weapon! MOL!

Then as is likely natural, a lot of peeps began to share their own similar health stories of woe...OMC!
Soon, pawppy & meowmy came back home. We sure were glad to see them, because it had been storming off and on since they left, and still is...thunderstorms and buckets of rain all day long! UGH! A while ago we would have been rejoicing at that amount of rain...sheesh, peeps are nevfur happy, MOL!

The peeps here are happy too, because the Tigers, those big orange cats from Detroit, have a 2 game lead in the current series...go Tigers!!

Well, that's all folks!
MAYL!

Just in case some of you are wondering, picture making meowmy tried to set up a new confuser with plugins, and she hasn't been having anything able to work...which was a major reason to get this new machine...ACK!
Pawppy the techie here, thinks it is something in the kimi site, not our confuser...sigh...well, its a good thing there still isn't a lot of time to make them, because of all the taxi service for pawppy...

Yippeee!!!

October 20th 2012 6:11 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] Yippeeeee!
We are so happy!
We are a DDP!
Kitty prances,
And happy dances,
As we catabrate,
This fun-time date!

Pawppy & Meowmy went to the grocery store together, today. It was pawppy's first time doing something like that since befur his surgery. He felt good, and said it was like being let out of his cage...MOL!

We heard that meowmy was sorely tempted, when she read the local 'ad' from our rescue agency here...there were 2 brofur kitties, called Zig and Zag...they were both flamepoint meezers...meowmy was so tempted, she had to resist the urge to go and see them...OMC, we don't think we want any new furblings in here right now...MOL! We want meowmy & Pawppy to ourselves...well, that was a couple of days ago, so hopefurly some other loving furmily has discovered them! They sure were handsome dudes according to meowmy...

OK, that's 3 things we can yippee about, and yet another is that meowmy is all better from her past illness, and has gone back to her work.

Now we are all done with our yippees fur the day. Thanks so much fur all the comments, p-mails and prezzies. We will try to answer you all...sometime! MOL!

Disastrous Imprints...

October 29th 2012 6:01 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Pawppy is furry angry tonight...
And so is Meowmy, actually. And upset.

Early this morning the swarm of workers returned here to be busy like beavers all day long...patio, 2 sidewalks and the driveway were on the agenda.(Two other sidewalks, two sets of stairs and a lot of prep work already having been done.)
We seem to be getting used to all this, and Pipo goes to the window to watch, MOL!

They spent hours of labor and hard work here over the past week or so, had just left after completing the final pour and smoothing out of the driveway. It looked wonderful. Dog-guy had to stay on a leash, because the gates were open, and the concrete was still soft and wet.

Pawppy got into his car and was getting it out of the yard and onto the outside part of our yard that isn't fenced, because it is county property...his car had been in the yard since his surgery...and he hopes to be able to use it in due time, but since all the heavy trucks are gone for now, and we are going to get a lot of rain, he wanted it out of the yard again...whatevfur!

Anyways, meowmy had dog-guy on the leash, doing what he needed to do, and pawppy was getting out of his car...suddenly there was Bandit, the neighbor's dog. OMC! ACK:(
He saw them and wanted to come and visit...furry BAD timing.

He was supposed to be under the scrutiny of his furmily and on leash, the neighbors knew what we were doing to our driveway...Bandit ran right over that pristine and fresh concrete, leaving a whole trail of paw imprints, UGH!

Pawppy about had a heart attack, he was so upset.

The concrete dudes were summoned back, but they said since there was a coating on the surface, they could not do anything at this time, it has to wait until it hardens, then they have to cut out those areas and redo them...OMC, it wasn't even an hour old...
They suggested that pictures be made of the damage and that it be submitted to our insurance...yikes!
So Pawppy went out and got some pics...

Then later the peeps from next door came and apologized, well, that may be nice, and the right thing to do, but it doesn't fix the issue...sigh...

Our pawrents had worked so diligently to keep OUR dog-guy off of it, if this wasn't so bad it might actually be funny:(

Well, we were upset, too....last night, our big kitties, The Detroit Tigers, lost the World Series...they never even got to feel the joy of winning one game...sigh...sniff...
Congrats to those Giants...we know their fans are furry happy indeed.

We are also worried about so many of our furry furends in Catsterlnd, (and Dogsterland), as they are being negatively affected by this monstrosity of a storm called Sandy. What a tame name fur such a bad witchy storm.
We are getting a lot of strong winds, and rain and maybe some snow later. Our auntie and some furends in Ontario are getting buckets and buckets of rain. Way too much.

Stay warm and dry and SAFE, evfurryone!

Finally!! A Belated Thank you!

November 5th 2012 10:08 am
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Hi kitties!
Finally meowmy was able to get her pics into a slide show...the pics she made of our new bed/mat from River & Simone. This was our prize from winning the contest they had where we had to name all the kitties.
We love this new bed and cuddle up on it a lot!
Thanks so much River and Simone for sending this neato prize to us!
There were also some great nip toys included. Pipo found those the best!
Well, so did Minko, but he moved so fast that all of the pics of him with the nip toys are just a blur...MOL!

Here is a link to the slide show...it would not work to post it directly into our diary...sigh...
Slide show for our new bed, the prize from River & Simone's quiz-game.

Have fun!

Once again, thanks River & Simone!(Sorry we took so long...)

Company, Hrumphh!!

November 13th 2012 7:34 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] With the excuse of paying a visit on account of meowmy having a birthday, today, her sister came by...now in the past she has taken her little black furball dog-guy with her...so when she came through the door, we went as fast as we could to the other end of our den and HID. She didn't know we were even around, MOL!

Well our dog-guy told us that there was no LBD with her, so we were safe on that count. All we needed to worry abut was the fact that there was a stranger withing the sacred walls of OUR den. Hrumph!

At some point, I, Pipo got brave and decided to find out if purrhaps she came in peace, or with cat nip fur us...well she stuck out her hand, and wanted to scratch my chin...um...no thank you!
She would have to wait until I decided to make contact, MOL!
And I have to admit that eventually I did...cause she did those love blink things...hey, who told a dog-lady to do that?!

Minko only got brave when it was time to get the sleeping arrangemants in order, MOL! Beds and soft pawlaces are his spawsialty! He could not resist...but then...when meowmy and her sister decided that they wanted to retire fur the night, we were lured into pawppy's office, where there is always the extra litter box, food and water...and of all the nerve, we got locked in there! Sheesh! There was not going to be any chance of us sleeping with a peep, even if it was a stranger...and no cozy spots, well, meowmy did bring our kitty bed(s) in there...

In the morning, today, we meowed Happy Birthday to meowmy...and listened to her sniffling, coughing and snorting...she says some one gave her an unwanted gift of a cold...what a bummer!
Well, she is still off her work for another day off, so with rest she should be fine...she hopes!

We helped Auntie and meowmy clean up the bed...by getting on it and putting loads of fur on the mattress, MOL!
Somehow they were not letting us get into the rolled up sleeping bag, my, that would have been super warm, soft and FUN!

And now its all quiet here again, the company is gone, and we are in our normal spots...

Squeaking With Stinky Logs

November 17th 2012 8:20 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 6 people already have ] That's right kitties, Stinky logs!

Meowmy was in the kitchen this morning making breakfast, when she heard a squeaky sound, over and over again...
She nevfur heard that befur, so she had to come and investigate...

Um...Minko was half in/half out of the kitty box...and he was making those squeaky noises.

Pipo as usual had made a stinky log...but...this one was not inside the box, it was lying on the box door, which somehow had come off its hinges...Minko was trying to cover it up, or purrhaps trying to get it back into the box, MOL! Hence the squeaking sounds, Minko's paw pads were squeaking on that hard plastic door...Minko wasn't amewsed when meowmy started to giggle at this latest Newmie tail of poopy junk...a squeaky log, MOL, MOL!!

Neither one of us have explained to meowmy why it was outside the box...but we can tell you all, that it didn't stay out there fur long after meowmy realized just what all the squeaking was about!

Stop Coming, But Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

November 20th 2012 7:36 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] Stop coming! You do not need to be here twice a year anymore.
You are well!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Those were the blessed, sought after words that meowmy heard today from her oncologist...Happy, Blessed Thanksgiving indeed!
It has ben a little over five years since she finished her chemo treatments, and all remains well! It is now 6 1/2 years since she was diagnosed, so she is truly ready to lessen her visiting obligations, MOL!
Its just a wee bit scary to be 'set free'...but if she felt anything wasn't right they will see her in a heartbeat, thankfurly.
'Praise the Lord and give thanks, for He is good and His mercy is everlasting!'
Happy Thanksgiving indeed!

Meowmy and pawppy were gone almost all day, so now tomorrow she will be busy doing all those things that peeps do to get ready for the big feast that is Thanksgiving...and we hope to scrounge a tidbit or two...MOL!

Then later in the day our unfurbros should be arriving for the long weekend. Busy!! More laps to keep warm,and more chin scritches, too!
After the big din-din on Thanksgiving, meowmy has to go to work...for four evenings in a row...sigh...well, she doesn't mind too much...she will let the menfolk here clean evfurrything up, MOL! (We hope she didn't include us in that menfolk idea, though we might help with the cleaning of those plates, we are good lickers and washers afterall, MOL!)
And they can serve her a cup of hot tea or yummy cider when she gets home ...
So...if you do not hear any mews from us, well, now you will know why!

We wish all of our furry pals and their furmilies a safe, blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Purrs & Gobbles!

Would You Like A Little Chrismas Greeting??

December 5th 2012 9:08 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] We are inviting any of you furs who would like a little Christmas greeting from us and our furmily to send us a P-mail with your address. We have s few, but we think we should update the list.

Its just a little photo-collage print...but we thought it would be fun to share them in the mail.

Today was St Nicholas Day!

Meowmy's pawrents used to enjoy that fun day when they lived in Europe...The Netherlands...but when they came to Canada, they dropped it, because it wasn't celebrated on this side of the pond...they would put a carrot in their wooden shoe for the St's horse, and if they had been good, they would get a gift...or some coal if they had not been good...kind of like our Santa Claus...but if you had been really bad you might get carried off in the St's helper's bag...oh-oh! MOL!
There would be a gift exchange, and special songs and treats.
Then when it was Dec 25th, everyone had a nice and quiet holy day, to reflect on what the true meaning of Christmas really is.
Sometimes we hear meowmy thinking out loud that she thinks we would do well here, to return to such a time as those days...

Well...Happy St Nicholas Day...and soon: A Blessed Christmas to all!

CHRISTMAS THANKS - BOXING DAY!

December 26th 2012 6:52 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] OMC!!
So many furs sent us gifts fur Christmas! We are overwhelmed with this display of love and good cheer!
In case you may have missed it, this was our greeting sent to furs, and now we are resending it to you!
CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM PIPO & MINKO
We also made a furmily gift picture to greet those who had both kitties and pups, but somehow we furgot to send it out...MOL!
So...here is that one:
Merry Christmas From The Rickmar Furs
Now that the 'big' day is gone until the next time, we need to thank all of our wonderfur furends...eventually we shall get around to it, hopefurly befur next year's catabrations, MOL!
We received some mousie catnip toys and some 'untuffies' but the best part of the day's doings was staying warm & cozy on the laps of our peeps!
We snagged some yummy tidbits from the spawsial dinner that meowmy made fur us. She was happy that she was off of her work for the day...and that Christmas was not any earlier, as she had been feeling quite sick with yet another yucky cold...now she is feeling better, though she still coughs a lot.

Today it is Boxing Day!
Well, that has nothing to do with that sport where those big gloves are donned and peeps bashh at each other...OMC!
And it has nothing to do with cleaning up evfurrything into big boxes to clean up...or bringing back boxes of unwanted gifts, MOL!
Well we think it would be fun to have some boxes for us! Boxing Day could be a spawsial day fur us kitties who love to climb in boxes...well, meowmy says sorry that isn't it either!
It actually comes from a British tradition of bringing boxes of food and gifts to the needy, so that they too could enjoy some holiday cheer...though it makes meowmy ponder why they have to have waited a day...well, being from Canada, meowmy alsways thinks of this day as another holiday, but our pawppy had to back to his job, today, at the office...and meowmy goes back tomorrow.
Happy Boxing Day to all of our Canadian and British furends!

OK, Kitties, we have to go and let meowmy help the unfurbros clean up the snow...we had a storm today...a white Christmas! Because we also had snow on Christmas Eve...we have to keep the walks clean so pawppy doesn't slip and fall....

Post Christmas Greetings...Happy New Year...And Meowmy Is- Slipping Up, Sheesh!

January 8th 2013 5:14 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 17 people already have ] Happy Mew Year to all you kitties!
And Happy New Year to your furmiles!
We hope that 2013 will be fun, healthy and amewsing!

If you and your peeps are in need of a giggle, or purrhaps a groan, here are some fun words penned by someone inside the big web of the world...purrhaps you can relate to them furry well:

The Week After Christmas

Twas the week after Christmas and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.

The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I'd taste.
All the holiday parties had gone to my waist.

When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber).

I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,

The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."

So--away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruitcake, every cracker and chip...

Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.

I won't have a cookie--not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.

I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.

I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore --
But isn't that what January is for?

Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!

MOL!! MOL!

And while we were thinking upon this wise tidbit, meowmy realized that we have now been here in Catsterland for over 3 years!
Well, Pipo & Minko's separate pages actually, WeBees was 'invented' about a year later...
Meowmy gets so busy doing pics fur other furs, and letting us pawlay on your pages that she neglects our own pages, MOL! So she missed the fact that as a furmily we have been here since Dec 2009. There are now 3 candles on our little cakes, and 2 on this age we have together.

Oh well, we are here and that is the main thing.
We LOVE you and we LOVE Catster!!
Purrs!

Meowgling, that is Kitty Giggling!

January 21st 2013 2:33 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Our Auntie thought we all needed to have a good giggle...so she sent us this:

THE CAT THAT WENT TO HEAVEN

A cat died and went to Heaven. God met her at the gates and said,
'You have been a good cat all these years. Anything you want is yours for the asking.'
The cat thought for a minute and then said 'All my life I lived on a farm and slept on hard wooden floors. I would like a real fluffy pillow to sleep on.'
God said, 'Say no more.' Instantly the cat had a huge fluffy pillow.

A few days later, six mice were killed in an accident and they all went to Heaven together. God met the mice at the gates with the same offer that He made to the cat.
The mice said, 'Well, we have had to run all of our lives: from cats, dogs, and even people with brooms! If we could just have some little roller skates, we would not have to run again.'
God answered, 'It is done.' All the mice had beautiful roller skates.

About a week later, God decided to check on the cat. He found her sound asleep on her fluffy pillow.. God gently awakened the cat and asked, 'Is everything okay? How have you been doing? Are you happy?'
The cat replied, 'Oh, it is WONDERFUL. I have never been so happy in my life. The pillow is so fluffy, and those little Meals on Wheels you have been sending over are delicious!'

Hey, we need a cute clean one and a non political one every once in awhile.

Are you all meowgling now?! Our sides are hurting from all the meowgling we did!

Meowmy says she is feeling pain too...but not so much from meowgling, but from shoveling...snow, UGH!
Brrr! Its cold out there too...but we are snuggled down and cozy. And pawppy is home so we are enjoying pestering him fur lap time...but...he wants to have a different type of lap top since he is doing some work, so we are not happy to be told no...
...and meowmy is meowgling! MOL!

Upchucking and Barking

January 28th 2013 8:02 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 11 people already have ] No, not us, Phew! We are fine.
Meowmy is doing that...along with loads of barking, peep style.
She is hot, too...not the cool kind of hot, the red cheeked burning up kind...
So, now she too has entered the realms of the afflicted, MOL! Gotta see the funny side of things.
She got this crud from her residents where she works, sheesh!
Well, she is off for two more days, so maybe by then she will be feeling better, I hope so, she didn't even play with us nor our dog-guy today...
So if you do not get any pics, please furgive us...and...they can't be posted anyways, there are some nasty infestations of fleas here...but Catster HQ say they are trying to find the right kind of medicine to cure the troubles...hopefurly sooner than later!

Congrats, too, to our good pal Blizzard, whom most of you know...he is Cat of the Week! Yippee!

Kitty Half Time? Why Not Full Time?!

February 3rd 2013 7:15 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] We have had the puppy bowl on here since it started earlier today...silly dog-guy gets curious at the woofs and Grr's he hears and has some of his own answers...but, then in the half time they have the 'Kitty Half-Time Show'. Loads and loads of kittens, of all colors and styles!
We think it needs to be its own show...they are so sweet and full of antics that they need more viewing time...
We, of course, thought the little Meezer type kitty with the very blue eyes and the little white stockings was the cutest of them all...purrhaps it was a snowshoe kitty or a ragdoll, but it sure had purrsonality!
He/she even had the sweetest little Mrat! MOL!!

Well, meowmy is almost back to 100% health again, and hopes to go back to work tomorrow...meanwhile the snow continues, the icicles keep growing on our just about impossible to properly insulate old house, (Its been done 3 times by professionals and they all say the same thing...sigh...), and the cold and wind do not give up either.
Glad that we have nice draft free windows, and a working furnace, as well as great sleeping nests in many spots, so we can be choosy...MOL!
And we spend a lot of time in that bed we won from River & Simone...but the other day, when meowmy was still sick, & lying in her recliner, dog-guy snuck in that room, too...and was seen all curled up in it. Sheesh, Nothing is sacred territory fur us at all...HISS!
So it has to be a comfy bed, right?! Sure thing!
At least meowmy shooed him to his own bed when she noticed...thanks, meowmy!

You all stay warm & cozy...and enjoy some kitty games if you can still see them!! Otherwise just be the show yourself, your pawrents will giggle and love you all the more:)

A Valentine Gotcha! Catster LOVE!

February 15th 2013 12:02 am
[ Leave A Comment | 1 person already has ] We sure got it today! A flood of candy boxes! OMC!!
Our page doesn't now where to put them anymore, MOL!
We were gotted on this day, 8 years ago! Meowmy was only going to get one kitty...but then she saw that there was op-purr-tuna-ty to get both of us, so she drove to 2 different pawlaces in our town...
Pipo came from a den where there were all kinds of kitties, all Meezers...OMC, Who to choose??
Well, he decided to check meowmy out...and that was that of course!
Minko on the other side of town came from a stinky dump of a den...rescued he was... and after he felt better in body and soul he became the kitty that we all know today!

Well, it is also Valentine's day, well at least it was, MOL!
So we have known love all of our lives...our destiny!

But all this candy...we could open a business, MOL!
Not only is our page loaded, so are all of our other furmily member's pages!
Meowmy's inbox shut down briefly, and the confuser clunked it was getting indigestion,MOL!
There are over 400 emails from today, alone!! OMC!!
How on earth will meowmy evfur sort through that!

Thanks so much fur all the love shown to us by all of you.
Catster is the BEST!

CATSTER LOVE = THANKS FROM OUR HEARTS!

February 16th 2013 5:30 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] OMC!! On Feb 14th we had our Gotcha Day...and it was Valentine's Day, too.
On our page alone on that day we received 45 gifts and most of those are the large boxes of catnip filled kitty treats, aka Chocolate Candy Heart boxes. WOW! OMC!!
What a load of Catster love was showing that day.
Thanks Catster HQ for letting us send love and fun to evfurryone.
Thanks from the bottom of our kitty hearts to all of our pals who joined in the fun.
We were 'gotted' on Feb 14th, and that is no quirk, or planned to make one lovely day...it was long befur we even had heard about Catster, let alone using a confuser, MOL!
Our pawrents would tell us, 'It is providential!'

How on earth will we send out thanks to all of you?? Well we are doing mostof it here, because with 7 furry pages, we would barely get done befur the next Valentine's pawrty! MOL! ( Meowmy has yet to count the boxes of purrsents on the other pages...)

THANKS!!
THANK MEW FURRY MUCH!

We LOVE Catster and we love YOU!!!

All About Going And Being Green!

March 3rd 2013 2:31 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] Yup, our page is green, the pics have a lot of green, and pawppy was green, too...that's why fur one reason at least that we are recycling the green on our page(s).
Meowmy says recycling IS green, so nothing bad about this state of affairs, except we would rather not see a green pawppy...well, at least after several days he is getting a lot less green.
We have our unfurbros home for their college spring break, we hope they do not get green...the color of their university is Maize and Blue!
Though on March 17 everyone is Irish, right??! MOL!

Meowmy says there is an epidemic of green illness at her work, both residents and staff, sheesh, so yucky indeed, UGH!
So she has been working short staffed a lot, coming home exhausted, and then having to spend a lot of time shoveling snow with pawppy, who thankfurly was not green when that happened! Now meowmy is pawraying that this gas-trough-enter-eye-tis stays out of her body. It is Noro-virus, the same one you hear about from cruise ships sometimes, EEEUUUUWWWWWWW!

So now you know why there are not new pics on our page for this green day upcoming...but she doesn't want you to know that in truth she furgot! MOL!! She looked through her SD card twice...but nope, none to use...well, we didn't grumble about it, tee-hee!
(And the funny thing is, there is a bag full of new Irish themed things in the closet...Oh-Oh!)

The Green Has Left!

March 7th 2013 9:48 am
[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] Yup, the Greeness on pawppy's visage, that is, MOL!
He is better, thankfurly. Those greenish tints he wore didn't suit him at all...and so far meowmy and our unfurbros have stayed well, HOORAY!

But our page will keep the green on it fur a while, until we need to put the bunnies and eggs on it...

So today we are DDP!
Thanks so much for all the things that have been coming our way!
What wonderfur Catster furends we have here!
There are comments, prezzies, P-mails and LOVE!
Manytoes and his talented furily sent us this pic:
DDP PIC FROM MANYTOES & FURMILY OF TALENTED ARTISTS - THANKS!

Jameson sent us this memento, also:
DDP PIC FROM JAMESON - THANKS!

So we are DDP...and yet we have to share the spotfurlight with our dog-guy...sheesh! He is also a DDP! Go figure!
And...meowmy has to go to her work...well at least the unfurbros are here to pester and play with all the wires and junk from their technological junk...evfurry time they are here its like an invasion in our den! MOL!
Pawppy will be home later, too...

Meowmy will come back here briefly around midnight when she is allowed to leave that pawlace where she helps other peeps who can't do it themselves anymore.

MAYL!!

Stealing Our Zzzzzz's

March 9th 2013 10:38 am
[ Leave A Comment | 16 people already have ] OMC!
Meowmy said that the time keeper of the world time zones was going to steal some of our Zzzzz's tonight. UGH! How dare they!?!
Don't they know that Zzzz's are the most precious things a kitty has after nom-noms of course...oh, and maybe catnip...MOL!
Appawrently, the timekeeper wants to add some extra light at the end of the days for a while...whatevfur!

Meowmy isn't too thrilled either, because she is working till 11pm, gets home later than that, and has to get up at 630am...so she will be sleep deprived fur sure:(

Oh well, that's life...

A White DDP Day!

March 16th 2013 1:18 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] Yup. Its the day befur St Paddy's Day which is supposed to be green...but we had snow and all is white, at least it was when we got up, MOL!
And Spring is just a few days away...remember last year when we had summer at this time, and it was about 80 degrees?? This year the natural world seems more ordinary...which is better fur those farmers and others who depend on a good winter.
Well, we are DDP today, and we haven't even made a diary in days, Go figure, MOL!
Thanks fur the comments, prezzies and pics that have been coming our way!
We aren't letting Meowmy have much free time on her day off, tee-hee...but at least we have her here all day, and she is not going anywhere even with pawppy...because he is doing the taxes work...sigh...good thing as kitties we don't have to worry our heads over that kind of stuff...our heads would spin!
But now that we just said that...we could be spinning, because in Dutch, the word for purring is spinning, MOL! (My cat is purring - Mijn poes spint)
So we leave you with that thought:
Purrs!
Spins!

A Tag Of Springtime!

April 2nd 2013 9:51 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] A tag of Springtime...MOL! That is a pun...because Tag is German for Day...and it is spring now, so anything we write is on a day of spring...OK, we will quit our mews of nonsense...meowmy is getting silly with us, sheesh, furst we can't be here all day, then she gets busy with things fur other furs, including pups...pups! Can you believe that? Well now we are here, and Paris has tagged us...

So here is our Tag and we are doing this at Nacht...night...so if its too silly, well the catretary says she is tired, MOL!

Paris said this is a game:
'Tag You are It!'

Here is how to play, We will name five things we like about Spring and then "Tag" five fur furends, hope you like it and play, just copy our diary and change the answers to yours and tag five of your furends!

1) The warm sun puddles, and the longer times we can enjoy it.

2) The myriads of bugs that seem to resurrect from inside all of the windows as soon as the sun heats them up...so fun to watch and pounce on...an maybe make them into a snack...and those pretty butterflies outside, too.

3) Extra laundry, from muddy laundry, and stinky sweaty gardening clothes...because we get to sit on the warm dryer, and sometimes the soft fresh out of the dryer laundry. (Though meowmy says she doesn't care for that so much...) When meowmy does garden work, she sometimes brings catnip inside for us if she can find it, that is evfur so delish!
Um...meowmy cn you plant some of that for us??

4) Chattering at birds that are in the grass, in the sky and in the tree and shrubs outside of our window, from the cat tree perch. Sometimes we even chatter at the scudding clouds on windier days.

5) Fresh air...fresh breezes coming in from the open windows, spring has so many interesting sniffs for our wee noses to inhale and wonder about!

We are adding a 6th...

Having time away from Dog-guy being in the same rooms with us,because in the warmer days he likes to go and observe his terrier-tory from off the porch...and he also gets to do outside guard duty away from us if meowmy has to go out for a while to do errands...MOL! We love that dog-guy, can you tell??

We are tagging:

Any and all furs who have not been offurcially tagged by others...we will let you decide, because meowmy is too tired to hunt them out fur us...MOL! Well, we will furgive her because she did let us come here for a wee while at least!

And we know she will have a load of more work to get all of our pages changed from all the Easter things.

And that reminds us: Thanks for all those Easter gifts...we are having egg rolling contests, making egg salads, painting eggs, having egg auctions and hiding them in places that dog-guy can't find...so he will just have to use up all of his own!

Happy Spring!!

Tag-alongs of the Spring

April 3rd 2013 9:06 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] We had already written a 'tag' diary about Spring, but today Keisha sent us another tag request...so as a tag-along to the furst entry here are some more ideas and thoughts about liking the spring time:

Five more Springtime likes:

1) April Showers...they make the grass greener than ever.

2) April Showers also make the birds more active...so we can chatter and drool over them.

3) April Showers...they awaken the buds on the trees to speed up, and then the odd red or grey squirrel will climb in the tree outside of our window...looking for noms...

4) April Showers, freshen up the landscape of all the old dowdiness of winter...

5) April Showers...because rain is way easier to deal with than snow, MOL!

Now if anyfur is reading this and no other fur has tagged you...then we are doing that! So go ahead and feel free to write your own Springtime likes diary!
Just remember to bring your umbrella in case there are more April Showers, MOL!

And The Rains Keep Tumbling DOWN!

April 23rd 2013 8:12 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] Duck weather, folks, it is raining again...floods to the north & west of us, huge pondlike puddles around here..and sogginess evfurry where.
We are in yo-yo mode as far as the weather goes...a warm day...a stormy wet day, a cold day,and even snowy day. Good grief!
The grass IS getting furry green nevfurtheless...and when the sun does decide to come out of hiding, well it is lovely to bask in its warm rays and puddles.
Last week there was a day when it was about 70 degrees, and we couldn't enjoy it, it was furry stormy. We had about 4 inches of rain...only good thing about all this rain is the fact that the Great Lakes need lots of water to raise them up to more normal levels.
Then on Friday, it got so cold that meowmy had to put on her ear muffs when she was outside! Then we had enough snow to cover the ground in a thin white blanket...
Today we are back in the rain mode, and fur sure the peeps in the midwest part of our state...in the Grand Rapids area, among others...do not need this at all...

Remember last year when we had summer in March?
There is no global warming going on here this season...MOL!
Maybe we need an ark or something...

Meowmy sure hopes this weather will not be so wet or cold when she and pawppy go to the graduation of unfur-bro on the 4th of May...

Time For A Dusty Giggle...Sort Of...

April 28th 2013 9:23 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 11 people already have ] Well it is still yo-yo mode with the weather around here. Today again it was drizzly, and rainy.
The big orange cats in Detroit decided to deal with it, seemingly enjoying it tonight, as they didn't cancel or delay their game...maybe they have duck genes afterall...anyways, they were liking the wetness, and reveling in it because they won, Yeah!

When those trees decide to leaf out, meowmy is going to have issues...she is allergic to tree pollen, and those trees are ready to go poof all at once, OMC:( The rains will help wash away some of the pollen dust, though, so maybe we hadn't better complain too much...except that the long range forecast is calling for a good chance of more rain on unfurbro's graduation day...sigh...
Rain, rain...
We wish to complain...
Please go away...
We do need you sometimes...
But NOT that day!

Now about some other dust...
Here are some cute things that were said by little children, or kidlets as meowmy calls them...

BUTT DUST

What, you ask, is "Butt dust?" Read on and you'll discover the joy in it!
These have to be original and genuine. No adult is this creative!!

JACK (age 3) was watching his Mom breast-feeding his new baby sister. After a while he asked: "Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and one for cold milk?"

MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, "If you don't remember you must look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six."

STEVEN (age 3) hugged and kissed his Mom good night. "I love you so much that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window."

BRITTANY (age 4) had an earache and wanted a pain killer. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a child-proof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: "How does it know it's me?"

SUSAN (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. "Please don't give me this juice again," she said, "It makes my teeth cough."

DJ (age 4) stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: "How much do I cost?"

MARC (age 4) was engrossed in a young couple that were hugging and kissing in a restaurant. Without taking his eyes off them, he asked his dad: "Why is he whispering in her mouth?"

CLINTON (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried. When his Mom asked what was troubling him, he replied, "I don't know what'll happen with this bed when I get married. How will my wife fit in?"

JAMES (age 4) was listening to a Bible story. His dad read: "The man named Lot was warned to take his wife and flee out of the city but his wife looked back and was turned to salt." Concerned, James asked: "What happened to the flea?"

TAMMY (age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked, "Why doesn't your skin fit your face?"

The sermon a Mom will never forget....This particular Sunday sermon..."Dear Lord," the minister began, with arms extended toward Heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. "Without you, we are but Dust..." He would have continued but at that moment the very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to her and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice,

"Mom, what is butt dust?"

MOL, MOL!!
Hope you enjoyed your dusting of giggles...

Sorry, We Missed You All

May 4th 2013 10:07 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] Folks and furs, we are going to complain of abandonment...
...18 hours of no peeps in our den, Sheesh:(

Meowmy & Pawppy left our den at 6 am...and just got back at midnight...sorry if we missed any of your fun here in Catsterland...sigh...They were at unfurbro's graduation from college...plus other activities...there were 500 miles on the car after they got home...and college is only 90 miles from here...what the mew??

They took him and the younger unfurbro to a conference after the ceremony and having a spawsial meal..somehow no furs are allowed at The Big House where this all took place...(Only service pups...but no mention of kitties who might be good at helping their peeps, MOL)
But...the weather was lovely, not hot, not wet and there was a breeze...perfect!

Go Blue!

We heard dog-guy howling his head off...because of this mews that meowmy heard about...
Just after they left, there was a very bad and fatal accident on the back roads a couple of miles from here...and since we live in a rural setting, anytime 911 gets a call, all the volunteers respond...lots of sirens...equals...tons of howling. There were young adults in the car, it hit a tree, going too fast...2 were dead at the scene, not sure at this time about the other 2. OMC:((
Pawrayers fur their furmily members. So senseless and furry sad.

Also on the furst Saturday of each month they test the emergency warning sirens...always a good reason for a loud howling accompaniment., silly dog-guy...At least dog-guy was outside in the fenced yard doing his guard duty and his noisy howling...and we got to enjoy all the sun puddles for us alone. MOL!

Meowmy needs to go and shut her eyes before getting up again at 630 am...Sunday is Church day, and we have to rest up for another day filled with kitty fun!

Oh, MY!!

May 14th 2013 11:22 am
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] Wow!
Our page looks like a flower store, or a field of purrtiness!
Thanks to all who sent those nice blue 'vases' (MOL!) to all of our pages, for Mother's Day...then now we are finding that there are oh so purrty flowers to put in them! THANKS!!

And now we are even seeing some other things to say thanks for!
We have gotten comments, Pmails and rosettes to catabrate the fact that we are a DDP!
So also thanks to Dairy Gal.

Yesterday meowmy worked all evening, today she s running those things she calls errands, but we are not sure why she has to run with those...can't she just keep them here at home and stay with all of us?? And tomorrow she is leaving early again to 'go out with the girls'. Hey, why can't we go too...don't girls need guys to chauffeur them around and buy them nice things?

So...if you seem to be missing our presence, that is why...we are just ordinary kitties sometimes! Sigh...

Two Saturdays ago, we were not here either, because the older unfur-bro had his graduation from the U of M. He is now an offurcial Bachelor, MOL! In Confuser Geeky Engineering...

Here is a pic of the part of 'The Big House' that he had the ceremony in:
Unfurbro Number One is in this darker crowd...somewhere...

He was getting warm, so he unzipped his gown...but here is he in said Cap & Gown:
Unfurbro Number One is an Official Bachelor
(Sorry for that photo bomber...MOL!)
And here is he with meowmy & pawppy:
Proud Pawrents & Unfurbro Number One
We, Pipo & Minko are purroud, too!

Well, meowmy has to go now...we will try to catch up a bit later...
Enjoy the beautifur Spring day!

What did we see?
A DDP!

Its purrty slick,
To be a 'pick'

We were sort of quiet here,
On our own page, oh, dear...
Well, now we are back,
To make meowmy pick up the slack...

Our thanks we mew,
To all of you.
For notes and gifts,
Our spirits they lifts...

Now once again we gotta leave,
To see what meowmy has up her sleeve,
Cause she has soon to go to work, we believe.

Thanks kitties!
Wow a DDP for something we wrote almost 2 weeks ago, and even already had a DDP on...MOL!

Here is a nice piccie that Tundra and crew made fur us:
From Tundra & Furmily ~ Thanks!

Sorry we aren't that active on our own page,meowmy has been letting us make piccies fur other furs, and letting us play in *their*
pages...she says we can't do evfurrything...sigh...why not meowmy, are you not our catretary?

Our thoughts and pawyers are with all of those peeps who have had their lives so sadly disrupted by those awfurl storms:(

Not too much going on here out of the ordinary that is...we catnap, we play, we purr and we pester the pawrents fur attention!
Purrs!

In Case You Were Wondering...Why We Ae Invisible:(

June 11th 2013 5:28 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 9 people already have ] Meowmy went to her work last evening, and when she got back evfurry thing was really quiet in the den. No TV, no unfurbros or pawppy on their confusers and a lot of long faces.
What the Cat is going on??
Meowmy had left some doggy & kitty stuff until her return, but she wasn't going to be allowed to get at it...the wire with cable had come off the house...go figure. So no cable, and no TV and no internet, the worst form of punishment fur sure...and fur no good reason, other than to test our skills at being 'unhooked'!
MOL!
So now we can't say congrats to furs that have honors today, or spawsial days...and we can't even think about making any pics fur our furends...Dang!
We see Uno is COTD.congrats to her, Charlie a new angel is a DDP, our dog-guy is a DDP, too and we can't do anything about that either. Shucks.
We are borrowing a Wi-Fi hot spot right now, so at least we can let you know why we are not playing and purring on your pages today. much less our own.

Cable dude was supposed to come and fix things today...but he didn't come...HISSSSSSS!
Hope he comes tomorrow.
Well, at least meowmy can go to a hot spot, but it isn't the ideal situation...hey we would like a hot spot, the AC is on here and there are way too many cold spots, here, MOL!

Hope to get to play normally soon!
Purrs to all!

MEEZERS...WeBeesBack!

June 15th 2013 10:46 am
[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] Hooray and yippee!
We got our interwebs back sowe can get all tangled upin them again...appawrently someone caught the wire with their vehicle and pulled it off the pole, as well as or wall...sheesh, who has anything that tall?
The repair lady was there about an hour...and thankfurly we did not have to endure any stranger presence in our den...MOL! She stayed outside! Dog-guy was happy to greet her wherevfur she was...

That same night there was another series of severe thunderstorms...and we had to hide in hidey holes, but no tornado warnings, so we didn't have to go in the dungeon here.
In the morning after all of that, there were all kinds of branches down in our yard, but no limbs or whole trees...howevfur there was lots of that kind of damage in other areas, and power outages, too. We got off easy!

We sure have had some unsettled weather...and more rain today and tomorrow...on Pawppy Day...and meowmy has to work...and she had to work the other day too when it was Pawppy's birthday.

We are enjoying a nice partly sunny day today, with open windows.
Meowmy bought some catnip plants to put in the garden...we wonder if it will be as yummy to our senses as the stuff she brings home in little containers.

Pipo has been a goody two paws...but Minko...well he will write his own entry...sigh...

Free Noises and Kabooms, Today!

July 4th 2013 10:13 am
[ Leave A Comment | 1 person already has ] Hey furends!
It is The Fourth Of July!
America's birthday!
So in honor of that, the fireworks are on the house...well actually they are on the page, MOL! Our page is full of them, all booming and banging and lighting it up with all those purrty colors!
We sent a lot of them to our furends, too...so listen up fur the noisiness!

We hung out our Stars and Stripes, today...a few days ago we hung up our red & white Maple leaf flag, in honor of Canada's birthday. That was on July first.
Two countries, close together, and sharing the same week to catabrate their birthdays!
Good that we are furends...in history, though it was not always that way, MOL!
Our hope is that all countries can solve their differences and live peaceably side by side just like we do.

So: Have a great holiday, and stay safe, too!

Have fun sending and receiving all the noisy fireworks gifts, today!

Thanks Fur The Quietest Fourth Evfur!!

July 5th 2013 5:53 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 1 person already has ] Yup, it was quiet...thanks to all our furends who sent us fireworks, the quiet variety, but still oh so beautifur!
Shimmering and sparkling all ovfur our pages!

Too bad our neighbors didn't consider that when they started banging and kabooming with their own show...the peeps were smarter, they went to a big real show to catabrate the Fourth. They said it was so loud that they could feel it! They said that they were close to them; in fact they had front row seats at the airfield...and those kaboomers were right overhead.
We are glad we didn't get taken along, MOL!

Once again thanks to our pals and thanks to Catster for providing the catabratory fun!

DDP!!! And A Heads Up...

July 13th 2013 10:54 am
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] Wow!
We haven't put in an entry fur several days...because meowmy is busy and doing a lot of not-catster things...and when she does, its to play with other furs and not us...Pfffttt!
Hiss!

Ok, well life is boring, mostly, and we didn't have much to mmew anyways, to be truthfur, MOL!

Thanks Catster fur making us DDP's...and thnks to our pals who sent gifts and pictures andnotes.
Meowmy has to go to her job in a few minutes...so we will be only here with pawppy and the unfurbros...oh and dog guy, none of who do Catster fur us...sigh...We will do lap and sun puddle duty instead! Those are always good fur plan B.

And a heads up, meowmy says we need to mew that later this month if you hear nothing from us, we ...well the peeps are going to be busy with vacation.
Huh? How can vacation be busy??
Well, we won't be here for 7 -14 days...OMC, We will starve, not getting our fill of Catster!

Sorry if we miss things...but soon enough we shall be back!
Now we got to go fur now...

OMC! We Are Going To Be Absent...

[ Leave A Comment | 13 people already have ] Hello kitty furends and your furmilies.
Meowmy has company and is 'on vacation' this week. This means that we are going to miss a whole lot of wonderfur things in your lives like things to concatulate you about, birthdays and gotcha days and so on...
That means we can't play on your pages either, or make pics:((
Well we will be back soon and then we will just have to get started again...
Sorry if we miss YOUR day(s), we see there are several today...maybe we can go and send them a wee note at least...that is purrty quick, not like making memento pics, MOL!

Well, we will be mewing at you soon enough.
Got to go and hide now...we hear a strange car in the driveway...
Purrs and hugs to all!

The Sweet Sixteen…

August 3rd 2013 11:48 am
[ Leave A Comment | 15 people already have ] OMC!
What a lot is going on here…has been, and is. So much to mew about…and meowmy says she was too busy to let us miaow about it all.

Well, a while back, we said we were going to be away from here for a short while. Meowmy's cousin and her hubby came to our den all the way from the Netherlands. Well, actually they drove over from our auntie's pawlace in Canada. Dog-guy was sniffing the bags they brought along and wagging his tail expecting Murphy (His doggy cousin), to jump out…we are glad he stayed in his own den, MOL!
Well meowmy's cousins liked us and gave us lots of attention! Hooray…they love kitties, and have their own, too!

Meowmy took her cousins on road trips, and we were not invited along…sigh…always the unfurs try to do things and sneak away without us.
However we are happy to have not had to go in a car…MOL!

They went to pawlaces in Indiana to see the Amish stuff…
They also toured round our own locale of Calhoun County…rich in history of the Civil war, slavery (The Underground Railway),Fort Custer National Cemetery, and Kellogg's, among other things. They went to a farmer's market and enjoyed fresh produce, too..but they didn't bring us anything, sigh…even though we were helping the dog-guy do guard duty. Not even a piece of fish or catnip! Hiss! MOL!

Then it was time for the company to leave…so they left and drove away to go to Niagara Falls. OMC, We would love to see all that water! No, maybe not...

Well, then it was a lot quieter here, and meowmy and pawppy got to have a catabration…what, we weren't even with them! It was their 26th annifurrsary…They had a furry spawsial meal in a fancy restaurant.
They also went to search fur a new couch and loveseat…appawrently us furs here and the toll of years has made the current ones a bit less than lovely, not to mention they are furry old fashioned and meowmy says, ugly! MOL!
Maybe they will get leather ones so we can have a new scratching post! What? Oh, sorry meowmy…

Then meowmy went back to working with her peeps again at the nursing home…they all missed her, they said.

And…finally our driveway was fixed and ridded of those paw prints, that had been there for about 6 months…now it is all nice and flat and smooth…poor Bandit, may he RIP…even though he was a pup...

Now you all might be wondering about this sweet 16.

The other day meowmy saw a kitty at the neighbor's palace. OMC! We shall have a lot of hissing to do to keep him out of OUR yard and all the catnip meowmy cultivates for our own use. Don't know kitty's name, though… Maybe we can hire our dog-guy to keep that kitty out! MOL!

Then…there are chickens clucking and scratching in that yard. White ones, black ones, speckled ones and brown ones. A rooster too, by the sounds we hear. We were told there are sixteen of them! Sixteen yummy chicken dinners and a lot of scrambled eggs, Mmmmmm!
Hmmm..we think that if one tries to venture over the fence, we may just be able to snag us a chicken dinner! "Oh Dog-guy…will you help us??" MOL!

This morning, we were rudely awakened by some shrill barks and yaps.
OMC! there is yet another pup over there. Her name is Daisy, she is a year old, and looks like a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. A beige fluff ball fur sure! Meowmy says she is furry cute…fur a pup...
Meowmy says she hopes that her furmily will be more responsible with her, and not let her run loose, or be tied up like the other pups endured. Time will tell…

Unfur-bro the elder now has his first car, a brand new one, too! A blue hatchback, perfect fur taking road trips…so last night he puts junk in it and drives away. He says he will be back in a couple of days, then we will have our extra lap back...

Well, now we are resting…too much excitement here! Nevfur can a kitty have enough catnaps, MOL!

Over The Hills And Through The Woods, Me-Yowling As We Go…

August 21st 2013 10:24 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] That was us…in our carriers...all the 8 long back roads miles to that pawlace where we do not like to go, HISS.

We got stacked in the van, shotgun…Stacked because meowmy put our carriers on top of each other, then she ran the seatbelt around them. Then she covered the fronts with towels, because she didn't want us to get drafted by cold AC air. So now we couldn't even see out the fronts, only the sides, meowmy was on our left and there was another window on the right…so was ard to enjoy the squirrels, coons and possums, let alone anything bigger like a deer. Meowmy said she didn't see any deer…and most of the critters she did see were…um…squished:( So our me-yowling made sure the ride was less than boring, MOL!

Meowmy tried to calm us down by putting her fingers through the carrier door-grates, but we just ignored her and sang all the more. It was a kitty choir!
Funny thing, though…as soon as we got through the doors of that clinic…we shut right up, we were not going to let the peeps there hear our talent. We save that fur meowmy's ears alone! But we were not letting her hear more of our beautifur Meezer Mewsic at all…so there!
It was a much quieter ride homewards...

Peace & Harmony Reign Once Again:)

September 27th 2013 10:10 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 15 people already have ] Well at long last meowmy saw what she was hoping to see...
As you know Pipo had dental work done, and Minko was not furry furendly with him when he got back, didn't know he was Pipo, and well, stranger kitties have to be hissed & smacked away...
Well after 2 days they could walk past each other and not hiss/growl, and now this morning meowmy saw them curled up together! Hooray!
Peace is good!
Harmony is good!
Kitty love is furry good,MOL!
All is once again well with our world...thanks fur the purrs you all sent to help it happen! ♥

Four Purrty Roses ~ Two Yucky Urkas

[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] Yesterday, meomwy got four beautiful red roses from Pawppy. They were waiting fur her when she got home from her job. Lovely indeed. There was a yummy huge cupcake too. Mmmm...but we did not touch that cupcake, because pawppy guarded it well, until meowmy got home.
We didn't touch those roses either...

But...

This morning when meowmy got up, those roses were three beautiful ones,and one broken in half one, and stripped of leaves, too.
Hmmm...now WHO could have done that? It must have been dog-guy, right??
Then she went into the dining room to have breakfast...but...wait...she found two big 'urka-gurkas' on the floor...and in the middle of one of those yucky messes was a bunch of green...OMC! The rose leaves evidence. Now we know what stupid criminals feel like when they leave easy to find evidence around...I guess it is obvious that kitties did this...but...was it Pipo, or was it Minko? We won't divulge that info..and we are not going to tattle-tail on each other either, MOL! Meowmy will nevfur know, tee-hee...pawppy said, My catness, those kitties are trying hard to not endear themselves to us.
Meowmy thought: Good thing they didn't do this when company is coming on Tuesday...
And dog-guy must have been thinking...sheesh, when is it going to get cleaned up so I can go back to lying under my fave table at mealtimes?

Isn't life fun with kitties? Nevfur a dull moment!

Oh, NOOOO! HISSS!

October 28th 2013 11:10 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] Sheesh, today meowmy was trying to make a picture on her Kimi site...and the whole thing seemed to be disfunctional. Yikes! It was a day with lots of birthdays, gotcha days and some other honors. She had just finished one picture fur a pup(!) when it 'crashed'.
At least she had finished the COTW picture fur Paisan last night...MOL! She was furry late getting to her nest!

So: Our appawlogies fur sending only messages with stock pictures in them...hopefully the site will work better tomorrow. She had to go to work and was able to get the login to work, at about 1 am, Eastern time, but that is rather too late to start making pictures...

Well like we mewed, tomorrow is another day.
Next week, there will not be many pictures either, if any, because meowmy is going out of town fur a wee vacation to visit her aunt who will be 94. We will stay here at home with pawppy and that noisy dog-guy...he isn't allowed there...
After that meowmy will have her own birthday to celebrate, and then it will be getting closer to Thanksgiving time. Meowmy took more vacation time then, too...Hmmm, we think November might be a desert in the WBS kimi-making department here in Catsterland.

Well, even so, all of our furends are nevfur that far from our minds as we purr and mew with you each day.
We love you all so furry much! ♥

Its Fixed...Sort Of

November 2nd 2013 10:25 am
[ Leave A Comment | 5 people already have ] Well, meowmy finally figured out how to get the log-in working on the kimi site...its a problem because of the fact that we are using a Mac, and we have a windows version overiding it as a second confuser inside the furst one...its too techie fur meowmy to pawpurrly explain it...
Anyways, through a roundabout long proccess she can now make pictures again...but sometimes the thing is unstable and crashes...and then she has to reboot it and on and on...so while we are making them, the supply of them will be a lot less, fur which we appawolgize. They also are rather time consuming to make, which interferes with meowmy's chores, not to mention her job.

Well, on Monday meowmy will be getting ready to go away fur the rest of that week...
She is starting to sound a bit like our dog-guy, though..she has the beginnings of a visit with that bronchitis bug...UGH:(
Why this waits until just befur a vacation, is beyond her! Sheesh.

Oh, Thanks to to all of you kitties and your furmiles who sent us all those dancing-rattling skellies! Our pages are so noisy with them all, MOL!

Now we have to see about getting things ready fur Thanksgiving time.
Gobble-gobble!

Hooray...we get an extra hour of snuggle time tonight! Wait, that means we have to also wait an extra hour to get our noms...sigh...

Purrs!

YooHoo! We are Back At Last!

November 13th 2013 10:05 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 12 people already have ] Yoo Hoo!
Meowmy has comeback from her vacation!
Hooray!

But today as she unpacked and got all things back in order here...she still wouldn't let us do much on the confuser...sigh...and she and pawppy left us all alone again! Hiss! (They went to have a fancy meal...)
Well we better not hiss too much...it is meowmy's birthday!

Happy Birthday Meowmy!
She says she is now 14 years, MOL! She says that sounds better when she adds the numbers together...well, that means that doing so will have her at 6 next year, MOL!!! Hey meowmy did they ask to see your ID when you had wine with your meal tonight?

We have had snow, sleet and a lot of heavy duty winds here over the past few days. Well today was cold, but at least the sun was making nice sunpuddles fur us.

We are all fine, pawppy did a good job helping us on our staycation.

Tomorrow she has to be back at her job...the whole weekend, too. So while she is here, she won't be here, how befuddled that sounds, MOL!
We helped meowmy unpack, that was fun...she nearly put us in the closet, since we were in her bags!

We hope we didn't miss too many spawsial days, we do know that we missed several DDP's and DOTD's...sigh...well though our picture making factory was inaccessible we could still mew our greetings! Modern technology sure is great! MIAOW!

Now meowmy says she has to get busy in high gear to get things ready in the den fur Thanksgiving and Christmas, right around the corner!

Gobble-Gobble ~ Ho-Ho-Ho!

Hmmm if that means pictures then we have to vamoose!

Purrs!

Spooky, Scary Storms

November 19th 2013 9:33 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 11 people already have ] Today is late on Tuesday...
Sunday was 2 days ago...and what a day that was:(
It started out rather mild in temperature fur this time of the year...but gradually things declined.
The wind picked up, and thick ominous clouds were scudding all over the dark sky. Every once in a while there would be a downpour...and that wind just got stronger and stronger.
The weatherman said there was a tornado watch...OMC.
Meowmy had to go to her work...nothing cancels the goings on in a nursing home.
Pawppy stayed home with us, he felt it was a risky thing to go to evening church service, because the high winds might make driving hazardous, and he wanted to be here to take us all in the cellar if need be...meowmy had shown him where the carriers were, and dog-guy's leash.

Then after darkness had nearly set in, the wind began to howl and buffet the whole are with a vengeance. And the rain...OMC, it was coming in horizontal sheets.

At meowmy's work place all the blinds had been closed for a safety measure in case the wind would blow in the windows. And residents who could be up were taken in their wheelchairs to the main living room...all the while the TV was blaring about the severe thunderstorm warning...thankfurly not a tornado in our locale.

Then meowmy heard that the winds had raged about at 70mph in our town, and even worse in other parts of our state. Wow! That is the speed limit on our interstates!

Meowmy took a moment to call pawppy from her work...usually not ever allowed...and was furry relieved that he and us furs were all fine, we still had our den, and we did NOT have to go in the cellar, Phew!

So on her way home meowmy noticed a lot of thick darkness...strange on a night with a full moon...it was still furry cloudy...so...she knew that there were a lot of power outages.

So she carefurly drove through this darkness, hoping to not meet any deer or any other road hazards...angels were guarding and guiding her home..and she arrived here safely, not too much later than normal on her work evenings.

And lo and behold our little village had POWER! What a blessing!
The power had not gone off here at all!

In the morning lots of schools and businesses had to be closed due to either no power, trees/power lines over roads, damage to buildings and so on.
Today some still have no power, and some may not get it until Friday! Yikes! Its cold out, too:(
Even a area SPCA was without power...so volunteers were bringing lots of blankets and other supplies to that place. They have their power back on tonight, hooray!

Meowmy saw that there were lots of branches strewn over our property, and a few large limbs, but no trees had completely blown over, and we have a lot in the back of our yard. We lost a piece of our siding, but meowmy was able to reinsert it in place.
There was a lot of roofing material in our yard, too...from the neighbors house. So that was returned to its rightful owner, though goodness knows if they can replace it all without professional help.
Today meowmy noticed that the back sunroom/porch has some water damage...oh-oh...a leaky spot in the flat roof, that isn't good. So we too will need a fixer man! MOL!
We are not grumbling though...we are all safe and together, and warm and cozy.
There were some tornadoes in other parts of our state...
And a severe one in Illinois:(

We are blessed to be unscathed.

Today was bright and sunny, though cold and still breezy.
Minko decided to nap in a big packing box, MOL!
Pipo was sunbathing...and dog-guy was...well doing doggy junk!

MIAOW!

Mews and Views and An Early Purrsent!

December 4th 2013 10:04 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] Well, meowmy got all the boxes of our fave toys out today...the ones with branches, and baubles and other such like things.
She calls then decorations, but of course any wise kitty knows they are spawsial & seasonal toys!
Well she got them out, but didn't unpack them...said whe was too drained and tired...she says stress at work, and too many chores and so on, so since she had to dig in the depths of her closet fur those boxes she felt justified to leave them closed...sigh...well, we are expert diggers, she should have enlisted us to help!

Yesterday, her and pawppy were gone all day so meowmy could pay a visit to her oncologist, just her regular yearly check-up. All was deemed fine, and again 'No evidence of disease'. They nevfur say remission or cure...so meowmy lives with this sort of teasing demon that wants to make her feel like she needs to shout and ask...why me, I know its going to come back...and so on. But since this started in 2006, it seems to not be bothering her as much as in the past. Meowmy has gotten talented at taking that demon and evicting it.
So she feels like her burdens are lighter...and that she has received an early Christmas purrsent fur herself.
Hooray is all we can say.
Meowmy says 'Praise the Lord!'

-----here are some interesting facts about humans-----considering that meowmy was at the MD...and fur sure they know a lot of this stuff, we think:

The Human Body is a treasure trove of mysteries, one that still confounds doctors and scientists about how it works. It's not an overstatement to say that every part of your body is a miracle.

It's possible for your body to survive without large fractions of its internal organs. Even if you lose your stomach, your spleen, 75% of your liver, 80% of your intestines, one kidney, one lung, and virtually every organ from your pelvic and groin area, you wouldn't be very healthy, but you would live.

During your lifetime, you will produce enough saliva to fill two swimming pools. Actually, Saliva is more important than you realize. If your saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.

The largest cell in the human body is the female egg and the smallest is the male sperm. The egg is actually the only cell in the body that is visible by the naked eye.

The strongest muscle in the human body is the tongue and the hardest bone is the jawbone.

Human feet have 52 bones, accounting for one quarter of all the human body's bones. Feet have 500,000 sweat glands and can produce more than a pint of sweat a day.

The acid in your stomach is strong enough to dissolve razor blades. The reason it doesn't eat away at your stomach is that the cells of your stomach wall renew themselves so frequently that you get a new stomach lining ever three to four days.

The human lungs contain approximately 2,400 kilometers (1,500 mi) of airways and 300 to 500 million hollow cavities, having a total surface area of about 70 square meters, roughly the same area as one side of a tennis court. Furthermore, if all of the capillaries that surround the lung cavities were unwound and laid end to end, they would extend for about 992 kilometers. Also, your left lung is smaller than your right lung to make room for your heart.

Sneezes regularly exceed 100 mph, while coughs clock in at about 60 mph.

Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half a gallon of water to a boil. Your body has enough iron in it to make a nail 3 inches long.

Everyone has a unique smell, except for identical twins, who smell the same.

Your teeth start growing 6 months before you are born. This is why one out of every 2,000 newborn infants has a tooth when they are born.

A baby's head is one-quarter of its total length, but by the age of 25 will only be one-eighth of its total length. This is because people's heads grow at a much slower rate than the rest of their bodies.

Babies are born with 300 bones, but by adulthood the number is reduced to 206. Some of the bones, like skull bones, get fused into each other, bringing down the total number.

Your nose can remember 50,000 different scents. But if you are a woman, you are a better smeller than men, and will remain a better smeller throughout your life.

The human body is estimated to have 60,000 miles of blood vessels.

The three things pregnant women dream most of during their first trimester are frogs, worms and potted plants. Scientists have no idea why this is so, but attribute it to the growing imbalance of hormones in the body during pregnancy.

The life span of a human hair is 3 to 7 years on average. Every day the average person loses 60-100 strands of hair. But don't worry, you must lose over 50% of your scalp hairs before it is apparent to anyone.

The human brain cell can hold 5 times as much information as an encyclopedia. Your brain uses 20% of the oxygen that enters your bloodstream, and is itself made up of 80% water. Though it interprets pain signals from the rest of the body, the brain itself cannot
feel pain.

The tooth is the only part of the human body that can't repair itself.

Your eyes are always the same size from birth but your nose and ears never stop growing.

By 60 years of age, 60% of men and 40% of women will snore.

We are about 1 cm taller in the morning than in the evening, because during normal activities during the day, the cartilage in our knees and other areas slowly compress.

The brain operates on the same amount of power as 10-watt light bulb, even while you are sleeping. In fact, the brain is much more active at night than during the day.

Nerve impulses to and from the brain travel as fast as 170 miles per hour. Neurons continue to grow throughout human life. Information travels at different speeds within different types of neurons.

It is a fact that people who dream more often and more vividly, on an average have a higher Intelligence Quotient.

The fastest growing nail is on the middle finger.

Facial hair grows faster than any other hair on the body. This is true for men as well as women.

There are as many hairs per square inch on your body as a chimpanzee.

A human baby acquires fingerprints at the age of three months.

By the age of 60, most people will have lost about half their taste buds.

About 32 million bacteria call every inch of your skin home. But don't worry, a majority of these are harmless or even helpful bacteria.

The colder the room you sleep in, the higher the chances are that you'll have a bad dream.

Human lips have a reddish color because of the great concentration of tiny capillaries just below the skin.

Three hundred million cells die in the human body every minute.

Like fingerprints, every individual has an unique tongue print that can be used for identification.

A human head remains conscious for about 15 to 20 seconds after it has been decapitated.

It takes 17 muscles to smile and 43 to frown.

Humans can make do longer without food than sleep, provided there is water. The average human could survive a month to two months without food depending on their body fat and other factors. Sleep deprived people, however, start experiencing radical personality and
psychological changes after only a few sleepless days. The longest recorded time anyone has ever gone without sleep is 11 days, at the end of which the experimenter was awake, but stumbled over words, hallucinated and frequently forgot what he was doing.

Every human spent about half an hour after being conceived, as a single cell. Shortly afterward, the cells begin rapidly dividing and begin forming the components of a tiny embryo.

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people do.

Humans are the only animals to produce emotional tears.

OMC!
WOW!
This is so neat. We are furtastic beings as kitties too, we think a list could be made up about us as well...
But now we need to do some big cat napping!

Ice, Ice and More Ice, OMC!

December 22nd 2013 9:33 am
[ Leave A Comment | 10 people already have ] We have ice...did you read it? We have ice, Too much ice. Not the ice that forms on ponds and rivers, but hanging from trees and fences and wires. And...we have no regular power either. So fur hours already that noisy generator outside is chugging away, helping to keep our den warm and lighted. The peeps could not go to church either, as the roads were too slippery. A lot of churches cancelled the services, but our Church is in another town, so it still had power and services...only without the presence of our peeps, MOL! We wanted them to stay warm and safe with us.
Meowmy was evfur so glad that she didn't have to go to work today...not til tomorrow evening. So we have evfurryone here. Unfur-bro who lives just around the corner from our Church, came over befur this mess started and now he is 'stuck' here! So we have another lap to lounge on, Hah!
Things do look rather purrty out there, and more so if the sun would decide to shine its bright rays on it. Then it ill look like a fairy palace indeed!
There are lots of branches down in our woodsy part of the yard, and a large limb is down, too. But in other areas there are whole trees down, because not only did we get ice, we got high winds, too.
Our poor generator-less neighbors evacuated their den earlier this morning, presumably to go to somewhere with heat and light.

So while we are in this state, we have only limited use of internet...on a wi/fi phone, so we can't make pictures fur any furends with spawsial days and honors. Sorry...

All this just in time fur Christmas, OMC! Snow is now headed our way.

Meowmy said she saw the Ho-Ho Man at her work the other day, a bit early huh? MOL! She will see if he comes back on Christmas Day...she will be there at her work. So we will have to share her on that day...but at least the rest of the furmily will all be here fur us to have lap time with, ahhh!

Meowmy wrote this little verse today about all the ice:

-----------
Icicle City
-----------
Slip & Slide...
Ice all around.
It fell from the sky,
Now it covers the ground.
Thick and clear,
Cold and bright...
While quite dangerous,
Its a beautifur sight!
Tree limbs in the yard.
Too heavy a burden of ice.
Sidewalks are glazed.
This ice isn't at all nice.
Freezing rain,
Some call it sleet,
It surrounds all it touches,
Makes walking quite the feat!
If from behind the clouds,
The sun would peek,
It would make all sparkle.
The icy cover bleak,
Would become a splendor - cold;
But wondrous to behold!
-----

Well, Merry Christmas to all!
Stay warm and stay safe!

Meowmy Was In An Avalanche, OMC!

January 5th 2014 10:41 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 13 people already have ] We have a snowmaggedon going on here, and soon it will be Michartica, too:((

Last night it started snowing, and today there was about 6 inches when meowmy & Pawppy got up. Churches all over this area were cancelled including ours.
Over the course of the day at least another 8 or more inches came down, and sometimes it was snowing so hard that when the peeps where shoveling the paths and driveway, as soon as they looked where they had cleaned up, they had to do it again. UGH! It took them hours to do the driveway, and later the roof had to be cleared too, to keep the snow burden at a minimum.
At least we kitties were given the best job: we snoopervised from our warm nests...dog-guy was snoopervising, but he is silly and kept running outside through his doggy door to see how much progress was being made...or not...because the same paths had to be recleared 3 times today, and could be done again, but now its dark so, well it will have to wait. So we are snuggled with peeps and cozy and comfy. The best.

Just before supper while there was still some light, meowmy took the roof rake to the roof again. She put the thing in a section of snow and started to pull it down...and she heard a low rumbly-whooshing noise, OMC! It was a real life avalanche, Yikes! At least she realized just in time what was happening and was able to stumble in the snow to get out of its way...and down it came with a huge thundering 'whump'. In all the years of 'raking' snow off the roof, that has nevfur happened. At least it didn't bury meowmy alive.

Now we are waiting fur the bottom to fall out of the thermometer, as far as wind chills go, and the real temps are expected to be well below zero tonight, and not much 'warmer' tomorrow.
Meowmy works second shift at the nursing home, so maybe by then some of the roads will be plowed out...which of course means a lot more shoveling work as the driveway will be all filled up again, UGH:(
Pawppy said he will take the day off tomorrow to keep things cleared out, and he can use his confuser to work from home if necessary. Pawppy wisely brought unfur-bro back to AnnArbor yesterday befur all the snow started...and unfur the elder went back to his own pawlace on the third, so we are all where we need to be, safe, warm and cozy.

And remember:
Don't try to change things on your pages in the 'fun stuff' sections (the biofields), because the flea that is pestering them will eat up all your work and you will go right back to a blank Catster page. UGH! Fleas,
HISSSSS

Mewomy has to work today,and did last evening...and there is another dump of snow to shovel out...so there won't be a lot of time to chat/vent today...
maybe thats a good thing, MOL.
She didn't sleep worth 2cents either...

So meowmy will start a blog, but not until she copies all our reams and reams of pages, etc. If you all could send me your Email addresses, then she could send you a note when its ready.

Will look for your blog - that should be fun, but so so sad that this place is going to disappear. Maybe one of the other cat sites will be another possibility? We haven't had a chance to check them out yet. We don't want to lose touch with our wonderfur Michigander friends.

Angel hugs form Gumpy

We Bees so very sad too, Pipo & Minko. We are going to pawmail our mom's email to you because we would love to be notified when you have your blog up & running. Your mewomy (and pawppy?) are so talented with photos (we have loved the photos you made for us & enjoyed those you made for so many other Catsters) that we know your blog will be a great one. Love always, Harley, Cody & Raj

We Thought We Had To Flee, But Now We Are Purring With Glee

February 15th 2014 7:55 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 8 people already have ] We Are Gleefully Purring because we can now have some hope that our Catster doors will not be locked to keep us out of our fave playtime spot!
This pawlace is just so precious and beloved. Words can hardly describe it!

Thanks from the bottom of our kitty hearts to whomevfur has graciously helped out to take over the behind the scenes doings here.

Thanks loads to all the lovely purrsents that decorate our page right now...what a lot of Catster love....Valentines, Gotcha Day, and just for sending out general love.

Yes, We did have our Gotcha Day, yesterday...on Valentine's Day!
Were both 'gotted' on Valentine's Day...Day of furever love from our peeps to us! MIAOW!

Due to meowmy being way too busy with non-kitty junk like chores and work and snow removal, and more snow removal...and not feeling too great with a cold the past few days, well we got all behind,and didn't get to send out those lovely bouquets of roses or the candy hearts...sorry about that...we did send out some big hugs though:))
Or something free, MOL! Meowmy can't even remember! MOL!!!

We have this image on our page and meowmy was trying to save it but was having some troubles with it...so here it is as a rollover for the time being. Its kind of our 'logo'.

WBS 'LOGO'

Which brings us to another topic...most of you know us as picture memento/badge makers for your 'spawsial occatsions', such as DDP's and birthdays. etc.

Some of those images took meowmy hours to make,she remembers doing some that were about 4 hours in the works...now she doesn't regret making them at all, in fact all of them are made and sent with love and good will, but when she finds herself spending as much or more time at them as her job at the nursing home, she is spending too much time at it, and neglecting other things...well so fur now the shoppe is temporarily out of commission...sigh...and when it does reopen it will likely be in a more limited capacity, such as by request or only for a specific type of occatsion...not sure as yet...

So please bear with her as she takes a sort of semi retirement...maybe you can give advice as to what type of pics she should do, like maybe birthdays only, or DOTD, Or COTD, or whatevfur....she really doesn't want to do more than maybe one or two a day...

Well, its getting late, and meowmy has to get up early to go to church...
Purrs!

We sure hopes we can be here furever too! Your meowmy is so furry kind and generous - all the time she has put into our purrty pictures. We understand how precious time is, and are glad she is setting her priorities. Our meowmy needs to get her life in order, and that will mean less time on the computer too.

That's a lovely logo:)

Love and Hugs,

Your pictures are furry nice and artistic. Any kitty who gets one will surely apurreciate it very much. We certainly understand. I was thinking for birthday pics., I already have one and would be glad to dispurrlay it again this coming June. Just the date would need to be altered a little bit. Or you could, in the future make generic birthday pics. Leave the year off and just put the date. Whatever you want to do, we totally understand. Time with family is precious and important, so don't feel bad. Hugs.

Awww, what a great WBS logo! Your photos are so thoughtful and lovely (did I, Mist, actually say that word...lovely? MOL), but it can take a lot of time, and my mom tells me that life can pull you in many directions. We completely understand and hope your meowmy takes some time off - whatever works for her. We didn't get to send out any of the free gifties either - we don't have a lot of time for that right now. Hope the snow removal will start to wind down soon, but I hear there may be more this week. Such good news about Catster this week!

Hugs,

Hmmm, late again! Its almost midnight here.
Hello to all of you and thanks for your kind comments.

Meowmy has been thinking, to do maybe only the cat of the day and maybe an odd other one if she gets requests, she could do birthdays or whatevfur in advance, that way there would be more time to work at them. She also does pics for doggies, so that is another reason why she was feeling so overwhelmed and bogged down.

Meowmy is feeling loads better, her cold seems to have decided to abate in severity.

And...there is call for another dump of snow tomorrow...good grief:(

We love your logo, WBS! And we have so loved the beautiful photos your Meowmy made for us (and for other kitties). We send our heartfelt thanks and giant hugz to your Meowmy for them. But we sure do understand the need to set some priorities in life! Even our mom, who doesn't know how to make those special photos, says she spends time on Catster that she should be spending on work (so she makes money to support we boyz-MOL) and household chores. We hope your Meowmy rests up and takes care of herself.

We also hope it warms up for you all soon & all those other kitties living in cold parts of the country & world. We wish we could bottle up our weather & send it to you. You & your Meowmy stay warm & dry & healthy.

Love & purrs from Harley, Cody & Raj

Spring?? Soon?? We Sure Hope So!

February 22nd 2014 9:11 am
[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] Wow!
What a windy day it was yesterday.
Our snow covered yard is bestrewn with all kinds of bits and pieces of branches…like sprinkles on a cake.
And right in the middle of this snow is a broken in half butterfly:(
It was supposed to have been permanently attached to the tree it was decorating…but the wind decided to wrestle with it and it won:(
So meowmy felt kind of sad, this butterfly was a gift from our Auntie, and it was up there for many years already. Well, now we shall have to help the economy by getting another from some local garden shop…and a good fastener, too, MOL!

At least we have not had to watch snowflakes lately…last time was Feb19th…and we even got to bask in a few sun puddles, and today again. Hooray!

We still have our snow mountains though…but now they are ice mountains, because we had more than a few buckets of rain pouring down on them on the 19th…after a dumping of about 2-3 inches of new snow…we are glad we do not have to be out there…

And there IS hope…meowmy has heard and even seen several Robins! Go figure!

Purrs, pals! Meowmy has to go to work this weekend...

March 14th 2014 12:17 am
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] Wow, this doesn't happen too often that we get neglected...
Meowmy saw that we were a DDP today...but she had to go to her work, and so she did some things fur a few other kitties & pups.
She as our catretary said she would deal with our honor and stuff like that hen she got back from work.
Well when she did get back, she told pawppy...'do not give me a kiss'...she has zero voice, only a few squeaks and croaks.
Hey, what about us?
Well we got to bask in sunpuddles...dog guy is still a bit subdued...so we did have a purrty good day.
We see that there are a ton of gifties and P-mails...and probably some pictures to post.
Thanks in advance for all of those...and sometime meowmy will attend to them...we just wanted you to know you were not being ignored, but meowmy wants to go to her own nest...and well, she sees there is way loads of
Kitty & Puppy work here on this Saturday...so maybe all the DDP things may get put on the back burner again...sigh...shall we fire our catretary? She seems to think others are more needing of her attentions than us...

Meowmy made a joke...dog-guy lost his barker for a day this week...now he has it back, but meowmy said he stole hers!

Meowmy In A Panic & The Barkless Dog-Guy

March 19th 2014 9:51 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 9 people already have ] Wowee!
Soon by the calendar it is supposed to be Spring! Hooray!
Well, while some melting of snow has happened, there is still loads of it! Only now the piles and mountains are no longer pristine, but yucky looking, esp where the dog-guy spends his pennies, MOL!
A week ago we had a major dump of over nine inches of heavy wet snow. Things had just started to look better out there, and it was even warmish…that is to say it was above freezing. And then winter returned to pester us again. UGH.
That same day we had a dog-guy holiday…he went to that *vet* pawlace…and was there for hours. When he came back, he smelled funny and didn’t even try to say anything to us, and no barking at evfurrything he heard. That was really odd, because he sure can be a master barker pup.
Well in a day or two he was more like the dog guy we know, but then this Larry-N-Gitus dude paid meowmy a visit, along with some frogs and squeaky mousies...
By now, meowmy has managed to evict L-N-G because she nevfur invited him, but she is barking; like dog guy…good grief the world is upside down.

We sure keep meowmy busy ourselves though…we puke fur her benefit now and then, we scatter the litter about, so that we will get cleaner floors, MOL! We make her compose purrty pictures fur furs, though sometimes she has to do that fur dog-guy as well…and we sit purrty or do silly things like snag a piece of yarn, and pull it, knock the things off of the counter in the bathroom, or chase my tail(Pipo). Of course sunbathing is always a high priority, even more so this winter with so much coldness. We had to hide a time or two when the dudes came to do maintenance on our furnace…but we let them, because we like its warmth so much.

The other day we watched meowmy's mouse go berserk… it jumped all over the screen and made the pages turn when meowmy wasn’t even done reading them…Yikes, she was getting into a panic mode. She was purrturbed with Minko because he likes to sit between meowmy and the edge of the laptop, and bonks his head on it too…so she was going to try to blame him fur her woes... Even unfur-the-techie-bro was stumped. Pawppy thought the confuser was kaput:( and that it would need to go to the confuser hospital …but, wonder of wonders! Pawppy turned the confuser on its side to write down the serial number, and when he placed it back on the desk…OMC! It was fine! Pawppy said maybe there was a real bug in there and the movement dislodged it back out from under the trackpad/mouse. Maybe that’s why Minko was so interested in the confuser.

Anyways no worries, kitty pals, meowmy can still make pictures fur you all as needed.

Meowmy really looked funny on St Patrick’s Day…she wore her regular uniform, but put on a little green hat on top of her head, and a light up shamrock pin on her shirt.
When she came home she was still giggling, because she had made her residents giggle and smile…it was worth her being silly she said. I guess it was OK fur her to leave us, if she was making others feel good…but we didn’t do anything green here, MOL!

Here are a few pictures, as posted in our blog:

Instant Summer!

May 11th 2014 7:51 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 3 people already have ] OMC! Its been ages since we mewed anything here...
But well here we are again!
First, let us mew:

Happy Mother’s Day!

To all Moms and their children, be they furry or not.

Wow!

It was over 80 degrees here today.

Seems like we went from wondering if we would ever see grass and blooms again…but now the grass has been mowed twice, the leaves are coming on all the trees, and it was really warm today.

We have a Weeping Cherry tree which was in full blossom mode, a few years ago, but not like that since...and this year? Well this spring turned to instant summer, that tree has only put forth a few blossoms. Must have had a lot of damage from the severe frost over the winter. Meowmy was looking forward to seeing it all pink and pretty, but not happening this year. At least it didn’t break from all the ice and snow it had to bear over the winter. And its hardy enough to still be alive, it had plenty of leaves coming.

Yesterday, pawppy bought several patio pots full of purrty flowers to grow on our little patio. They look dwarfed by the patio pots they were set into, but soon they will be big and bright, we hope!

Meowmy tried to overwinter some geraniums, so those are outside now, and time will tell how they do. There is some greeness in them, that's a good sign.

Now we need to close our windows, cause the radar shows some storms coming our way! And we hear the thunder...must be a big pawrty up in R.B.Land as they catabrate Mother's Day, MOL!

Nighty-night and stay warm and dry and safe.

We even have our own kitty cabana with shade and kitty beds. We don't have a cabana boy, though. Any volunteers? MOL

Who Has More Fun??

May 30th 2014 8:38 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 7 people already have ] Dog-guy gets all the fun around here…

Well, it seems that way to us at any rate.

He can go outside at will through his doggy doors…

He can chase critters and bark at hot air balloons, and woof through the fence at the neighbors kid lets and pups…and he can run like the wind…

Lets see now…we get to sit in sun puddles, chase some bugs, drool ovfur the things we see in the yard outside but we can’t do anything more than chatter and lash our tails.

We get to sample all and any of the warm laps…we can chase our tails, headbonk the dog-guy, we can jump on the dining room table…oops, not supposed to do that…we can make bread on the peeps, too bad they can’t gobble it up!

We have two rooms as dog free zones, with lets see…at least eleven soft places to choose from as well as two condos to hide in and innumerable hidey-holes to play peek-a-boo in…oh, and there are some fun boxes to sit/play in too, and loads of kitty toys in a basket, mostly catnip filled mousies and such-like. There are feather wands, crinkle balls and some old socks filled with fresh ‘nip.

So…why meowmy asks, do we try to go through the doggy doors, chew on usb and power supply cords. Hiss at the peeps when its time to have our teeth brushed…knock items to the ground such as pencils and earrings…among other nonsensical kitty amewsments.
(Minko chewed through yet another cord…we need to get out the cayenne pepper).

And we do not have to ask to go outside to go potty if the doors are locked…nor do we need to go for walks, though that might be interesting we think…

Well, come to think of it, we seem to be rather pampered, MOL!

We have pawppy especially wound around our paws, MOL!

Meowmy had to work on Memorial Day. There are some residents there who are veterans and how proud they are of the work they did. Meowmy and all of us should thank all those who have and are serving whenever we can.

Harley and I are always trying to sneak through the door to go outside. It seems like there are such great adventures to be had out there, but mom makes us stay inside. She tells us there are things like coyotes out there that make it dangerous for us. We have lots of windows to watch out & smell the interesting things that out there, and toys & beds & cat trees & hiding places & shelves way up high in mom's closet to sleep on, etc., so I guess we have it purrty good...but boy oh boy, I do believe I would have quite a grand time if I could wander around outside-MOL!

Nana's been housebound due to eye surgery, so Mom's been doing more caring for her, and less taking us out, but we're dealing with it. Sure would be nice if we could go out whenever we wanted. At least when we go out on the deck we get the doggy-like joy of chasing squirrels!

Bits & Pieces of This & That

June 8th 2014 9:33 pm
[ Leave A Comment | 4 people already have ] Here is a link to our blog so you can see our pictures, that go with this text:
And our bloggie of course, MOL!

WeBeesBloggie: Bits & Pieces

We are still here, MOL!

We haven’t been around here either too much…bad catretary, maybe we should fire her…on second thought maybe not, cause then who would feed us and clean out our boxes…and give us our belly rubs?

Oh well…
We did a lot of napping and some getting woken up, too...sigh...

Pipo spent a time chattering at the yard TV. (That is true wide screen high definition!)

Minko used meowmy’s sandals for his scratching post…yet another of his ‘traits’, MOL!

We both have made secret excursions into the back porch and beyond, judging by the pukes we leave on the carpet! Eeuuwwwww!

Wait, ‘we’ leave behind?

I, Pipo beg to differ. Out the four recently found, Minko was seen producing three of them…UGH.

He is the naughty dude who goes out onto the sidewalk…and nibbles the grass.

Who knows who made that other one…

If we grow cat grass here or nip plants they have to be grown in a separate room and rationed, OMC! (Else we will chew the whole lot down to the soil level.)

Meowmy thinks she needs to fork out some $$ and invest in a different kind of doggy door, an electronic one that will only let a fur with a ‘key’ get through. Then we won’t be able to use that fun swinging flap anymore. We of course will try to dissuade her. MIAOW!

It has been lovely weather here, a rainy day here and there, but mostly just great. Last night it rained, but then the sun came out once again. We love us our sun puddles!

Pawppy has another kind of problem. Oak seedlings. They are all over our yard, with lots of walnuts and locusts too.

Those squirrels sure were busy over the winter.

While we just pull out all the unwanted species such as box elder, walnut (too messy), and others, the oaks are nice trees fur sure. And they sure do take a long time to get large enough for shade…but some that we planted many years ago when our unfurs were small are now giving a fair bit of shade to sit under. Yeah!

So meowmy went out and staked as many as she could find, and sometime later she will transplant them to other more appropriate spots.

Hmmm, we think that maybe the next generation may have shade from those wee oaks. MOL!

As soon as those stakes were in, the first thing meowmy saw was a large shimmering dragonfly sunning himself on the tip of one of them! To bad her camera was in the house at that time. Oh well…She needs a camera in her finger! Hah!

A Note From Meowmy

Hey WeBees,
Your purrnet is not kaputt. The Catster log-in fields were swalloed by a black hole. They have disappurred *shrug* But you can still log in. You have to go thru the front door (catster homepage). The Community drop-down menu is stuck. Hmmuuuuuppph *Timo tries to push the menu open* The drop-down menu works on the homepage, and only on the home page.

Enjoy your caffeinated human. Hope your net gets fixed soon.

Soooooooo Much Better!!

[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] Catster is doing evfur sooooooooo much better today!
We only seem to have a wee trouble when we want to make a comment somewhere, but even we can get there with a bunch of extra clickings. We are becoming clicker trained, MOL!

Thank Mew I-5 Publishing fur working so furry hard and with great diligence to fix our most beloved site(s).
We are so gratefur!

Through our long deflea-ing process we are revved up and ready to mew and purr all around, but meowmy is busy with tons of not kitty stuff these days, so you may notice that we are not sending our art works lately...we do a-paw-logize.
And well, we do know that we have missed lots of doings and spawsial dates, too. Sorry and please let us hug you ((( ♥ ))) to make it up!

We hope all is well with our many furry pals and their furmilies.
We have missed you all!

~~~~~~~~~
And meowmy has a question.
Recently she applied Frontline to us, the real deal...but Pipo seemed to have lost all his fur where it was applied. Sheesh. He was red there too, not sure if it was the reaction or from scratching. He seems purrfect otherwise. Has anyfur ever had that happen? What to do?
That was the third dose he had, we do not want to go through what happened to Minko a while back with the Lyme issues from ticks.
It's great to see you, Pipo & Minko! We hope you had a purrfect summer. We've also had issues with hair loss due to topical applications. Mom put Profender (dewormer) on me last month and it burned all my fur off and the spot was red and sore for a couple of weeks. We've had the same thing happen with flea products, which we are trying not to use now. We are not sure what to do either.
Purrs,
Pouncey
Hi, Pounce!
Only a spot about the size of a quarter lost the fur and now its not red anymore, just waiting for the fur to grow back.
There are pills for fleas, but we need protection from Ticks, they are ferocious and abundant this season....sigh...
We need to be gone
Cause our galleon is sailing
On the seas a-raging,
with winds and gales'
In those tattered sails...
We pulled up the anchor,
And search for our succor,
On our pallets of pelts;
And a dinner of smelts.
Meowmy Is Pretending To Be A Dog
November 9th 2014 10:18 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] Meowmy Is Pretending To Be A Dog
We haven’t been here too much of late, we just mostly check-k in…snoop around and leave…fleas too pesky.
Sure hope that soon we will have a good Catster again, cause we miss it!
Meowmy went to see her sister and aunt. here is what she put in our blog.
Its here is you wish to see it:(and some pictures, too.)
WeBees Blog
Meowmy came back with a new identity we think, she sounds like a barking dog. OMC, we don’t think that is a good thing.
So we will purr and keep her warm and resting down in the recliner so she can get her regular identity back. She said she will have to visit the human-vet tomorrow, because she has been running a fever for 5 days, now. UGH. But you know being as she is hot, maybe we will want to keep her as a purrsonal warming site, MOL!
She was gone for several days and pawppy had to take care of us. Well, better than a stranger right?!
And now she is back things should be OK.
Meowmy didn’t feel too good today, so no selfies were made…sigh…but we will show you the main reason why meowmy was gone:
Great Auntie turned 95!
We didn’t have sun puddles today it was dank and cloudy…at least it wasn’t raining or snow showering. Just like on the traveling days of meowmy’s trip. UGH.
At least there weren’t any snow storms.
Meowmy says her vacation time is a wasteland die to all the yucky weather and her being hostess to a nasty virus. She hopes it isn’t going to reactivate her EE-Bee-Vee…(mono). That would be far worse than a cold.
Oh well, at least she doesn’t have to call in sick from her work, MOL! Her residents do not need her barking at them! Some things are fur sure not shared.
Post Thanksgiving Thank Mews!
December 5th 2014 11:17 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] Wow! We came ovfur here to check things out and see that we have loads of Hugs and Thanksgiving prezzies on our page.
Thank Mew all so much!
Meowmy is so far behind with all the things she is into that we will thank you all here...collectively. A huge HUG and kitty kisses to all!
We hope you all enjoyed a fine thanksgiving holiday. Meowmy had to be at her work, but she didn't mind it too much, and we thought it would be a nice thing to share her, MOL!
At least she will be home for Christmas!
Now all we need to d is convince her to get out all the Christmas things...our fave kind of toys, MOL!
MIAOW!!
Merry Christmas!
December 25th 2014 10:53 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] MIAOW to all our pals!
Merry Christmas!!
Or we should mew, we hope you had a wonderful Christmas, because its already Dec 26th here, MOL!
Meowmy is always so late...
We were supposed to have a white one, and we thought we might, it was snowing late Wednesday night, but today there was only a dusting.
At least it was better than all that rain we had past few days.
Unfurbro the elder and unfurbro the younger are home, yippee! More laps to sleep on...but no wires to chew...they know to hide them...
We got some yummy treats and a couple of new nip kicker toys. The nip was so fun Minko kicked his to death and then stalked off, MOL! Pipo didn't seem to interested...he just wants a good belly rub, MOL!
Thanks to all our pals fur sending us all those Christmas trees today!
Now finally we have some seasonal themes there...meowmy decided to leave the current background up permanently. Sigh...she just hasn't got time to keep changing it she says...
We sent out trees too, and we hope we didn't inadvertently miss anyone...
We also got lots of snail mail cards from furends! Thanks so much!
Today we wore red, white and green collars, sort of festive with little jewels on them, as befits a good kitty, but while Minko wore his fur a long time, only chewing off one bell...which meowmy put away...Pipo sulked until his handsome red velvet one was removed...sigh...
Well, we are sleeping now, to be ready for what the next days shall bring to do...
And just in case we furget:
Happy New Year!
May your 2015 be fun filled and well blessed.
Purrs!
MIAOW!
Remembering Our Furbling Angel-Toki
January 12th 2015 10:10 pm
[ Leave A Comment ]
Yesterday was Angel Toki's Rainbow Bridge Day, the day he had to leave his earthly home to receive those wings he now flies allover R.B. Land with to visit others and play in catnip fields all day long...and being a kitty, likely all night long, too, MOL! He can nap whenevfur he pleases, he can eat all he wants...imagine how portly he must be!
Toki
He was such a sweet kitty, he loved to greet the visitors to our den, he played with the unfurs a lot, and he knew several tricks! He had to endure the swats and smacky paws of his kitty sisfur Suki, MOL!
He was mentored by Groucho as well, sheesh they are all angels now too.
Tundra and her furmouse crew of artists made us this nice picture to help us all remember him:
Thanks Tundra and furmily. Such a lovely remembrance picture.
He got several prezzies on his page, too...Thanks to all of you who sent them!
Meowmy has been oh so busy with her work, and other non kitty things. Sheesh!
And just when she thinks she will have a day to relax, we get a dump of snow...and of course that has to be all shoveled away...and provisions have to be brought into the den, and that sucky machine has to do work here, too...and Minko still will not eat on his own, so meowmy feeds him twice a day...a can each time...he might eat two bites and then jump down, if she left him like that he would starve...
Well, off to our nests we go! Miaow and purrs to all!
Remembering Two Spawsial Kitty Angels
May 26th 2015 6:23 pm
[ Leave A Comment ]
Today is a bittersweet day in our furmily.
Two birthdays...but they are of two of our angel furblings, Simba and Toki.
Simba was the second kitty in this furmily,and the furst kitten fur meowmy, MOL! She had lots to learn!
Groucho, who was an elderly kitty by then, took him under his paw and taught him all kinds of things...the good the bad and the silly.
When Simba went to live in Kitty Heaven, Toki came here...though we already by then had Suki, MOL! So there were two kittens and Groucho. He accepted them all and taught them like any grandfather would do...and when he had enough of their antics he went to take a nap,MOL!
Strange things about those kitties:
Simba and Toki both had the same birthday thought= they came from diffurent furmiles and years. Groucho shared his birthday with Suki..and those kitties both shared their day with our unfurbro the elder.
(We of course both have the same Gotcha day, and our birthdays are only a few days apart...and Pipo shares his day with our Grandmeowmy.)
What uncanny connections we all have to the heart strings of our Meowmy!
Manytoes and his furmily made Simba and Toki some birthday card/pictures.
Thanks so much!
Simba Thanks Manytoes!
Toki Thanks Manytoes!
We also are going to send our thanks to all the furs who sent us/them prezzies to help catabrate their spawsial day.
A Remembrance
September 4th 2015 10:34 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] August 26th was the day that meowmy;s furst kitty evfur had to go to the RB...many long years ago already. His name was Growucho, and sometimes he was, though he was named by his furst furmily. Likely because his birthday was the same as Groucho Marx. It was also the same as his unfurbro-the-elder!!
Anyways it is always good to remember our furry angels.
Tundra, helped us remember him by sending us this lovely remembrance picture.
Thanks Tundra and your furmily for this lovely remembrance Picture.
Well, in our brief stops to Catster these days, we note the fleas and ticks are still taking their toll...how sad, but we will still keep on checking in at regular intervals to say hello and MIAOW!
We do love Catster!
Minko was diagnosed with IBD, he is an ongoing concern...he is on a bunch of medicines, and while they help, they do not fix/cure...sad...
Pipo has arthritic legs, in the front mostly, he seems to get some help by using glucosamine/chondroitin.
Oh the joys of getting to the elderly stages of our lives, MOL!
Even dog-guy had to endure sickness a few weeks ago, but he is much improved:)
Have a great weekend, it is a holiday, but meowmy has to go to work...sigh...well te bills do have to get paid!
PURRS!
MIAOW!
Sending our mews and greetings...
[ Leave A Comment ] Yesterday we couldn't get into Catster...and today the fleas erased the page befur we could see who had spawsial days that we missed.
Sheesh.
Anyways we know there were several Gotcha Days and Birthdays. So...we hope evfurryone had a great day and enjoyed many treats, purrsents and purrhaps belly rubs and chin scritches.
Right now we are getting purrpared fur our furst evfur staycation at a cat boarding furcility. Yikes! We'll be there the better part of a week...we don't understand why we have to be jailed while the peeps go and have fun...don't you think we would have made them some good travel companions?? We would entertain with good singing, and yowls, and maybe some scattered litter in their new leather seated kitty carrier...aka the furmily van, MOL!
And the peeps at the other end of the journey might enjoy a new carpet of kitty furs:))
And what fun we would have at the border crossing...why are you rolling your eyes, meowmy??
Gotta run, hope all furs are well and enjoying the fall. Goodness, soon the holidays and snows will be here...OMC!!
MIAOW!
We Survived Our Jail Sentence
November 12th 2015 11:54 am
[ Leave A Comment ] Yup, we did, and the noce ladies there said we were good kitties...why, we were saving our best fur them and now that we are home again we are giving meowmy and pawppy lots of fun, MOL!
The reason we had to go there was because Minko needs to be fed with a spoon, or else he won't eat...and he gets medicines three times a day...he is stable so meowmy is glad of that, but the feeding gets to be a tedious chore...but one has to do what one has to do!
We are sorry if we missed any spawsial/impawrtant days...sheesh, meowmy even missed our own Angel Simba's RB Day...sigh...
Manytoes did not, thankfurly and made him this nice image to remember him by:
Simba ~ In Loving Memory Remembering Him On His RB Day...Thanks Manytoes!
Well, we need to let meowmy go and do her chores, she has company coming. Non kitty peeps they are, OMC!! We will go and hide, MOL!
MIAOW!
In Memory Of Suki
November 27th 2015 2:29 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] Meowmy posted this entry on Suki's page, but we thought it would be fine to put it here, too, in her honor:)
In Memory Of Suki
Today is the day that Suki made her journey to the Heavenly Realms to receive her wings, after struggling with a debilitating illness that included having scary seizures.
Of the six kitties that have joined this furmily, she was the only girl-kitty, MOL!
I want to take this moment to say thank you too all who sent prezzies to Suki's page, So appawsiated , indeed.
And thanks too fur all those turkeys!! Mmmm! I see that ewmy didn't get to the confuser on time to send some fur us...sigh...but we love you all anyways! (( ♥ ))
Today Tundra and her furmily sent Suki this nice memento:
In Memory of Suki on her R.B. Day
Thanks Tundra!
Meowmy is swamped with her work, chores and looking after Minko who needs a lot of spawsial attention since he is chronically ill with that scourge known as IBD. And our unfurs were home to to help with and celebrate Thanksgiving, yesterday. We had two more laps to st on, MOL!
Both Pipo & Minko had to go to the vet today since they needed a booster. They of course were not too happy, MOL! And the vet added yet another med into the many that Minko already gets...UGH! Hope it helps:)
Suki remembers how meowmy was helping her evfur so much in the several months of her illness.
The things we do fur our fur-babies...
Our furmily hopes you all had a lovely Thanksgiving!
Now meowmy will be getting out all the Christmas decorations, that will give WBS some fun new toys, MOL!!
Enjoy the season!
Purrs!
MIAOW!
Heavenly Greetings, too ♥
Remembering Toki
January 11th 2016 11:25 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] Jan 11th is the day our angel furbling received the wings he now uses to fly all over Kitty Heaven. Only a few days before that the peeps here were talking about how he was such a fun kitty...he fetched toys to have them tossed over and over, he was evfurryones furend; he was a one-cat inspection committee,and he loved dog-guy. Why as soon as dog-guy arrived here, he took over and deciceded MJF was a good heating pad, and would try to lay on top of him, MOL! They were good buddies. We get along with dog-guy most of the time, especially Minko. but well we do not snuggle with him in his nest. Sometimes we are in nests side by side, that is about as close as we dare sleep with him...
Rory sent us a nice memento to remember this day:
Thanks Rory!
Thanks to all our pawsome pals who sent gifts to Toki. We know he appawsiates them a lot.
We are glad to be inside kitties fur sure...the weather is nasty, cold, blowing hard and snowing too. The other day when all this started we also had some ice ans sleet. Ugh...winter has come with full vengeance.
Well, its furry late and meowmy has to get herself to bed...and well, so do we, MOL!!
MIAOW!!
We Had A Happy Valentine's Day...Because It Was Our Gotcha- Day!!
February 16th 2016 10:00 pm
[ Leave A Comment ] Yesiree! We were Gotcha'd 11 years ago on Feb 14th! How do you like that??! MOL!
It was a lot diffurent around here then...the unfurbros were both still at home, in 7th and 8th grades...now both have graduated from college and one is in Grad school...and while dog-guy was here when we got here, he has learned to not go too nutzo around us...esp Pipo, cause Pipo will make liberal use of his smacky whapping paw(s)...MOL! Minko likes to wash dog-guy's ears, but doesn't seem to do it as much as in the past, he does spend a lot of time sleeping...he has IBD, and we think it kind of wears him out...but if meowmy feeds him and makes sure the meds go in as prescribed, he feels purrty good...most of the time. Sometimes he chucks up all ovfur the place, a barf fest as meowmy call sit...and um...he sometimes leaves those nasty scoot lines on the floor and carpets...UGH:(
Well, our good furends, Manytoes and his furmily made us these nice cards:
Happy Gotchaday From Manytoes and furmily! Thanks so much!
Happy Gotchaday From Manytoes and furmily! Thank
you furry much!
We also had fun with some Valentine's Day pictures:
Pipo
Minko
We want to thank all those who came bu to put purrsents on our pages...there are so many of them!! Wowee!
Purrsents for our Gotcha Days, and more even for Valentine;s Day! How spoiled we are, MOL!
We can't begin to send our thanks to all of you individually...meowmy is so busy she hardly has time to do this Catster stuff anymore...what with her job, chores and Minko's spawsial needs. She also cooks all the food from scratch...pawppy and her are on an eating plan, processed foods are not in it...but its all yummy!
Plus she has a blog fur us, feel free to come by and visit us there:)
Pipo & Minko's Blog
We try to dictate our kitty things there once a week or so.
Well, that's about it fur now!!
MIAOW!!
